It's a shame. I played this game to it's completion and had fun with it, but Raycevick sums it up best: a decent but fatally flawed game.

I found it good as is but I can't help but wonder what it could have been if these stupid problems could have been overcome. It could have truly been one of the best and easily spawned sequels.

Gameplay can actually be fun, but even if all the technical problems were fixed the game would still have its awful writing. Bioware is a shell of its former self in many ways but especially in the writing.

That's the thing, nothing in EA's library is selling, or at least is selling better than their 6 year old titles and they certainly are not outselling their competition. How are they still making money? One explanation is that everything they make is way under budget (and it shows) so even if it sells like shit, most likely still broke even or at least didn't lose enough to negatively affect total profits.
How else could BF5 have the lowest preorder sales of any EA game in history and still afford an extravagant launch party.
