People are faggots, but I understand the hate when its say a game like Shenmue 3 and Epic purchases early rights for it despite the game being kickstarted back in 2015 with the selling point being free steam keys

Aaaand another one chinkoid thread.
Is it 6th or 7th epic chink thread in a row?

Nobody thinks those exclusives are okay you nig

It's the methods by which Epic gets exclusives that is the problem.

They never had any to begin with, so they basically bribe devs into staying with Epic.

>All the others
>Pay for a game to be made for their system, whether it's by having an internal studio make it or contract a 3rd party to make an exclusive for them
>Epic
>Find a game with no such exclusivity deals and just throw money at them when they're 80-99% done with development/hype cycle, even if they've previously said they would release on other PC platforms
This is why.

t. Not a PC gamer, just stating observations.

>Console has exclusives and one store
>PC has exclusives, but to different stores

Fuck off I'm not dealing with multiple launchers that require updates and I have to fight with to stop opening on startup. Steam is fine, but origin was the only extra launcher I installed.

Also fuck China and their spyware. Euros can get fucked with their 5g too and enjoy their new Chinese overlords

But Epic is the only one facing a constant internet hate campaign

>bribe

Why do gamers hate capitalism? Newsflash, people will follow the money. You don't see people freaking out when an employee leaves his job for a higher paying one. You didn't see people freak out when Macy's bought the exclusive rights to sell the Martha Stewart collection.

>Pay for a game to be made for their system
Quite uncommon. Usually, those exclusives were just the same as Epic's.

Only shiteating retards put up with exclusives, Steam is the de facto default store for PC gaming and has been since the late '00s. Any "exclusives" it has are solely because it was the best marketplace.
If you're championing exclusivity, you're on the same level as consolebabbys

>okay
Said nobody ever.

>But Epic is the only one facing a constant internet hate campaign
Again, not true. PC gamers are currently focused on Epic, because they're the only people doing it with PC gaming, and you just hang out on forums which are more focused on PC gaming than others.
See , this is exactly the sentiment I'm talking about.

Name games that are exclusive to Playstation, Xbox, or Switch that weren't planned to be exclusive from the beginning.

Exclusivity has nothing to do with capitalism. It could happen under socialism just fine, so long as the collective producing the game agreed it was better.

What's that matter?

Grafo is incredibly unfunny. It's just stock reddit opinions in lazy comic form

That's the entire point I was making. Every console and most other marketplaces have exclusives that were made specifically to be exclusives. Epic pays for exclusivity late in a game's dev cycle, even if the game was originally announced to be coming to Steam or GoG or wherever.

People want games not more distribution platforms. Especially not distribution platforms majority owned by China, the biggest shithole of human misery on the planet

okay, retard

user, don't try this weird sleight of hand. We're talking about exclusives which would have been made otherwise, but which the console maker handed over a lump sum of money to make exclusive.

Usually when PS, Xbox or Ninty have exclusives it means they partly paid and/or helped develop the game.
Epic just comes at the last possible moment to cockblock a steam release.

>Exclusivity has nothing to do with capitalism

Yes it does. Capitalism allows you to sell your products where you want. Under socialism, you have to sell them everywhere

Exclusives are fucking gay regardless you fucking chink ass nigger.

>PS4 and nintendo make me buy inferior systems to play 1-3 exclusives I want
>Epic now wants to do the same fucking thing and make me download YET ANOTHER LAUNCHER

Fucking hang yourself Chang

Socialism does not say you have to sell your product everywhere you twit. How would that even work? You're going to sell your product in some obscure Namibian corner shop?

Steam doesn't have any third party exclusives.

Fuck off, the whole consolewar faggotry is precisely WHY Epic exclusives are such a giant cancer. Only bootlicking corporate cock sucking console niggers are ok with exclusives.

It's spelt Zhang in China.

Steam hate threads have been a common thing here forever.

Have you ever been in a Sony thread? Though half the gate comes from goldface posting. Nintendo and Microsoft at least make their own games. And not to say that they don't also buy exclusive rights to games, but Sony are thorough faggots in that regard. Just to set the standard.

Epic got on by promising a better service for both players and developers. Not only are devs still getting screwed, but their store doesn't even fucking work, and due to stealing games from other stores, players are left chasing down the games they already paid for, on top of having to deal with a busted store front.

1st party exclusives: Ok
2nd party exclusives: Ok
3rd party exlusives: Fucking stupid

PC has been free of console wars shit and this faggot trying to spark that shit up deserves all the vitriol he gets

I'll Zhang you from the rafters, this isn't Zhina

>We're talking about exclusives which would have been made otherwise, but which the console maker handed over a lump sum of money to make exclusive.
Then name some.

Epic doesn't have exclusives, it has multiplats.

STORE exclusives are not the same as PLATFORM exclusives.

Attached: monopoly.png (2117x1835, 957K)

Timed exclusives are cancer even in the console space. Kill yourself chink.

I know we have had a problem with shills before but fuck. Neither of you tried to hide it.

>would it motivate you if i paid the developers to not sell their games in the stores you have been using?
hmm

Epic doesn't really offer anything to the customer except buying the games for you.

Attached: EAWuq_kWsAA80mT.png (696x493, 362K)

No, socialism says you owe your product to the governement for it to distribute as it sees fit.

Console or mobile platforms make sense. They all have their own programming environment, and games made exclusive for them can be expected to make the most of that platform. Store exclusives are dumb because they're an arbitrary restriction with no benefit.

>they are slaves of the insects, how could they be smart?

This. Only company bootlickers are fine with exclusives.

>PlayStation has exclusives
>>okay
>>Xbox has exclusives
>>okay
>>Nintendo has exclusives
>>okay
These guys also make games. Well it's debatable with Sony but still.

Those others finance development of titles in exchange for exclusivity.
Epic just buys up existing third party titles. If EGS disappeared, every game on it would have just been sold somewhere else.

Look at this retard.

Steam only has first party exclusives aka games Valve made themselves. Any non-Valve game that is only available on Steam is that way because the publisher has chosen not to distribute on any other platform, a decision which Valve has no say in.

Because people formed a parasocial relationship with Valve. Look at how closely PCMRfags associate themselves with steam, and how much of their identity is wrapped up on what platform they game on. They're console fanboys by any other name.

>console has exclusives
>you can buy it at every major retailer
>steam has "exclusives"
>the publisher is free to sell it anywhere, without Steam taking a fee, so long as they sell their game on Steam's store and they keep the Steam store price competitive with the price offered elsewhere. (The Steam store price set by publisher)
>EGS has "exclusives"
>the game must be sold on the EGS, and only EGS approved retailers at the price set by the EGS.

>a decision which Valve has no say in.
And in no way deters from happening. It even has in depth support on how to sell your game at other stores, with no fees or money going back to Valve if you do so.

G2A also sells EGS keys user

Epic Game Store vs Steam bullshit is ruining this board more than e-celeb bullshit and /pol/ shit. Fuck off and shill elsewhere or stay in one thread. Blatant shitposter.

I'm surprised you're ignorant enough to need proof for a statement like "consoles pay devs to make their game exclusive".
>Sony is concentrating its attention on large software publishers as it gets ready for the next PlayStation, according to executives at Sony and software makers. In general, publishers want their games on multiple platforms to maximize sales, while console makers look to make deals for exclusive content or an initial period of exclusive sales.

whoops
wsj.com/articles/sony-positions-next-playstation-for-hard-core-gamers-11561800603

G2A is an unofficial reseller
Tell Tim and his chink shills to fuck off then.

>come to my store! ^^
>Why
>I´m taking options away from you
>wut

People don't like EGS because it takes games that would otherwise be sold on a feature-heavy storefront with common sales and a good refund policy and moves them to a featureless Chinese botnet. At least with Nintendo and Actiblizzard, those games would never even come to light on anything other than their own shit service because they bankrolled them instead or sniping them

Attached: file_3.png (800x1200, 1.01M)

This. Out of all the 2019 video game drama, this is one that most people should not be giving a shit about especially since Valve doesn't give too shits about their customers anymore and never release anymore games, have lackluster sales, and quality control.

So EGS is pulling a sony essentially.

I don't trust or like the Chinese and I refuse to use their services out of principle. Winnie the Pooh. Democracy. Multi Party System. Human Rights. Taiwan. Uyghur Autonomous Region. Dalai Lama. Tienanmen Square 1989 June 4th.

Consolebros are kids and retards. PCgents are wealthy and educated people

>come to my store
>but no shopping cart!
>uh oh, you're buying too many products
>BANNED

>console manufacturers make their own games to draw people to their devices
>epic measly pays for timed exclusivity of a game that near completion
hmmm
on second thought, you know tge difference but you will act obtuse anyway so i will take my leave

What games has Sony sniped?

>enter your cc expiration date
>march
>ERROR: DATE MUST BE IN THE FUTURE
>*locks all expirty date entry methods*
>start over
>start with year
>tab to year, press down to get down to the expiry year
>ERROR: DATE MUST BE IN THE FUTURE
>*locks all expirty date entry methods*

>Epic doesn't really offer anything to the customer except an excuse to pirate all their exclusives
Are they really "customers", then?
"Beneficiaries" seems more apt.

>X console has exclusives
>well neat, because I own X and can therefor play, I don't own Y but that's my choice
>PC has exclusives
>well I have a PC, so this shouldn't be an is-
>CONSOLE PRICES ON PC WITHOUT PHYSICAL COPY AND ALWAYS ONLINE FUCK YOU
>ok, then I'll just buy a physical co-
>STILL NEED TO INSTALL OUR THING FUCK YOU FAGGOT
>ok, no thanks then
>WAAAAAAAAH

Only unintelligent seething PCtards don't understand that most exlclusive games wouldn't even exist if first party companies didn't fund them in the first place.

Literally intellectually dishonest. Fuck off

I don't buy lies.

Well gee let's see user

>Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo all personally fund their exclusive titles from start to finish, and thus the product literally belongs to them
>This is the case for Blizzard too
>And Apple
>Every developer that made their game Steam exclusive CHOSE to do so, not once did Valve give them an incentive to make that decision
>Meanwhile Epic is throwing millions in Fortnite dollars at games they had no hand in creating just to make them exclusive

Exclusives are not okay on any platform and they inherently anti-consumer. Consoles would be objectively better if they were all attempting to actually competing based on their hardware, instead of their libraries.

NOBODY GIVES A FUCKING SHIT THAT EPIC HAS EXCLUSIVES YOU MONGOLOIDS. JESUS CHRIST. AROUND AND AROUND AND AROUND YOU SPIN ON THIS ARGUMENT-POLE.

People hate Epic because
A. they're owned by tencent who are literally a tentacle of the oppressive Chinese government and answer/cooperate directly.
B. They choose to take things which have already been established as NOT exclusive and have PREORDERS on OTHER PLATFORMS and then STEAL them by paying the devs RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF UNEARNED MONEY.
C. Their CEO is a massive piece of shit who literally cannot stop jamming his foot in his mouth on twitter, day in and day out he is posting the dumbest fucking shit and bad excuses for all of the above ^
D. Their store interface just GENERALLY FUCKING SUCKS. I DON'T WANT TO USE IT. (This should be the ONLY reason you even need to give anybody for why you don't use it-- you are not obligated in any way to like Epic or their shitty launcher. You don't have to justify not trusting something, to anybody.)
E. No shopping cart. Must check out games one at a time. Buying too many games in a row can also activate their shitty security which locks your account as suspicious.
F. All of their exclusives are either stolen (like Shenmue) or just utterly mediocre PC ports of games everyone already played on console
G. Epic's system of paying devs and buying 500,000 copies in advance to buff sales numbers, eliminates the customer entirely from the equation (dev feels no obligation to customers, game does not even need to sell any copies as Epic has already fronted the profits they would have made). This leads to devs making whatever without feedback or concern for customer interests/trends, dumping it in Epic's lap as a worthless "exclusive" and taking as much money as Epic will give them for it in advance then driving away with a cartoon sack of money

Attached: 1386949718366.jpg (600x588, 253K)

I don't know what the fuck you're on about because people complain about console exclusives all the time you fucking retard. Even then though, having games on the same hardware but exclusive to a specific platform is different to having games on exclusive hardware you double retard.
And nobody says they're ruining gaming, they're just saying that they're retards you triple retard.

>But Epic is the only one facing a constant internet hate campaign

Because Epic introduced exclusivity into PC gaming. One of the main points of mocking PC gamers used against console gamers.

oh and i didn't even mention the comically embarrassing fire sale where several AAA companies immediately removed store-access to their brand-new games to avoid losing profits from Epic's "generosity" (Borderlands 3, everything by Ubisoft, etc), or even just the fact that anyone can use any email because it just has to be a valid email, no verification process or auto warning that someone else is using your email on their account. Streamers in the first week found themselves unable to make an account because others had used their public emails to make more Epic accounts

Attached: 1446735061105.png (771x238, 131K)

Based

There is a fucking diffrence.

First of all PS, XBox, nintendo, steam, Battlenet and IOS of course they get exclusives but these are games that were meant to be exclusives for specific platforms literally from beginning of making these games also these companies owning these platforms are giving helping hand to devs making these games.

Now lets look how EGS gets exclusives. It just goes to publisher of random game that was almost made without any EGS help and just throws money at publisher and sudddenly games that were meant to be for example on steam and GOG suddenly become EGS exclusive.

The best example is Shenmue 3 where they promised that people who backed it on kickstarter will get a STEAM key, then EGS just decided to throw fortnite money at publisher and boom suddenly instead of steam keys there will be EGS keys and refunds are denied.
IF YOU STILL CANT UNDERSTAND THEN YOU SHOULD LOSE YOUR VOTING RIGHTS BECAUSE PEOPLE THAT STUPID SHOULD NOT DECIDE EVEN ABOUT LIFE OF OWN PET RATS

Attached: 213333.jpg (1280x720, 137K)

>exclusives which would have been made otherwise
So why isn't Platinum making Scalebound anyway if they didn't need Microsoft at all? Your point makes no sense.

You're just a dumb retard.

>fortnite money
If only. It's literally Tencent money from the chinese government.

>Nintendo and Microsoft at least make their own games.
They have studios like 343 and monolith Just like Sony with Japan studio

Legtimate arguments that OP shill won't even reply to.

Daily reminder steamcells are mentally ill trannies with faggotry filled steamprofiles

But epic is buying exclusivity to games already funded and nearly ready. Only games they funded were some literally who indie games.

You can buy most of those console exclusives from different stores. Hell, even on PC several stores were selling Steam keys, meanwhile you can only buy things for Epic Store from the Epic Store, is this seriously fucking hard to understand?

Because Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft develop their own exclusives but epic just pays third parties to not put their games on steam.

How do people feel about Stadia exclusivity? If a game were to be temp exclusive for 6 months then release on steam and stuff after do you think a company would get backlash?

>Because Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft develop their own exclusives
Only Microsoft in this case, Sony has SE in their pocket while Nintendo has Platinum and the two split ATLUS series.

Yeah especially since I don't know a single person who thinks the Sadia is a good idea, online or otherwise.

I dont care about exclusives on online stores (other than needing yet another launcher).
I just don't want a chinkstore. especially one that's like 8 years behind in terms of features.

>One of the main points of mocking PC gamers used against console gamers.
Are you retarded?

yes, if you change one thing it doesn't affect anything else ever! all those people working on those games would never have even tried to get their funding elsewhere!

underrated post

why didnt Epic try to put their own games on the store first

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 33K)

people ALWAYS dislikes change, people will dislike it even more if they feel like they are trying to force them to change in any way by, for example, not letting some games be launched in other platforms
forced change always brings rejection, even if its for the best (which is not in this scenario). Check for example the great failure that was trying to make amerifats use the metric system during the 70s, which is obviously better and more suited for the modern world.

You think Scalebound is the one and only exclusive? user, are you mentally disabled?

I don't want to support chinks
It's really that simple

>3rd party exlusives: Fucking stupid
If it werent for Sony, stuff like Demon's Souls would've never existed
If it werent for Nintendo, stuff like Bayo sequels would've never existed

Attached: 1497057338550.png (600x600, 216K)

Microsoft 1st party studios
343 Industries.
The Coalition.
Playground Games.
Turn 10 Studios.
Ninja Theory.
Rare Ltd.
Compulsion Games.
Undead Labs.
Sony gets most of it 3rd party exclusives from Sega Nintendo has a good relationship with platinum. Both of them also own many 1st party studios.

People should be happy that thanks to Microsoft and their adherence to the IBM PC market we have a single market leader for three decades. I think people really don't realize how fucked the market was when home computers were dominating the games market all with different specs zero cross-compatibility

>2nd party exclusives: Ok
based terminal retard

Fuck off Zhang Tzu

The comic should be phrased differently, Epic managed to grab all the attention lately.

Must be a real pain not to buy anything made in China.

>2nd party
No such thing, that would imply Sony bought From and Nintendo Platinum

Copity cope : the thread.

>playstation
closed console platform, many exclusives are 1st party
>xbox
see above
>nintendo
see above
>steam
either 1st party valve games or devs choosing to do so without being offered money
>battlenet
1st party
>iOS
apple arcade isn't even out yet and those games will run on macos too
>epic
fortnite is a non issue as it is 1st party, but paying off devs to restrict what storefront it is available for on an open ended platform like PC is no no

you fucking idiot you can be a second party dev and not be bought by a company

Steam ooga
Epic booga

boogas btfo

First mention of steam was in 2018 lol

Is it different than being temp epic exclusive?

I don't care about corporate store wars, I just enjoy making blatant chink shills mad
