The ending of Nier Gestalt

I'm missing something or maybe i'm not understanding it, if possible link a video

What are the player, Yonah and Kainè, copies of humans created to survive the Black Scrawl?
The citizens of the village are normal humans that will turn into monsters if affected by the Black Scrawl?
What Popola and Devola wanted to do, serve the Shadowlord? And what was Shadowlord's plan, just have his daughter back?

Have you tried playing the game?

Did you get ending A and drop it like a retard or are you just legitimately braindead?

It’s the opposite
The black scrawl is caused by a faulty gestalt of the respective replicant. The program was initially planning for the gestalts and replicants to fuse once another disease (white chlorination syndrome) passed over, but it went on for too long and eventually the gestalts all lost sentience, thus dooming the replicants as well. This could have been stopped if NieR (the OG replicant) fused with Shadowlord (the OG gestalt), as he is the master the gestalt that can control all the others.
Shadowlord was trying to save the gestalts, but NieR selfishly believed he was saving the replicants to the very end.

You delete your game save to help other people in the bullshit shooter part

>the ending
Which one?

He's obviously talking about Nier, not Automata, secondary nigger.

I should've read the documents that Devola and Popola gave me with more care

So did they split only one Gestalt and Replicant (you, the player?) to re-attach it at the end of the White Chlorination but failed to do so?

And basically you're unintentionally playing as the "bad guy" cause you only care about saving your daughter?

Then you pick between nines and a2 in a 2d battle jesus

There were two problems. One - the replicants gained sentience. And two - the gestalts lost sentience. This started to happen around the same time. The plan was to fill the hollow husks with their respective shade but both these things threw a wrench in that plan.
You are the bad guy because of a big misunderstanding and difference in perspective. That’s all it is. And for most of the conflict caused in human history it was just that. People are more ignorant than evil.

Ok but i'm missing one little point, Gestalt is a fancy way to say just humans? Or they're a version of humans modified in laboratory to survive the White Chlorination?

Also, what happens in the end, is the world doomed (i'm thinking about if we were before the announcement of Automata, which i will play next) to the Black Scrawl now that the Shadowlord is dead?

Did you read the file Dev and Pop gave you near the end?
You should read it.
Also play again, things make more sense in your 2nd playthrough.

Gestalt is human soul. They removed them from their bodies because the bodies could die of the disease but the soul could not.

They’re the souls of humans. Somehow they managed to turn a human’s “soul” into actual genetic information. Their actual bodies were made into replicants, which would be lifeless husks until their gestalt filled them once again, ideally.

Yes, eventually all the replicants succumb to the black scrawl and die. The gestalts all have no “anchor” once the shadowlord is dead and they all lose their sanity as well.

Oh you're right, it's just that thinking about spirits and stuff is out of the ordinary for me

Gestalts are people's souls. All the shades are Gestalts. Replicants are new bodies made for them to withstand the White Chlorination.

Ok, so in the end the world ends with no one alive (or someone does since i think that there should be humans in Automata, no spoilers)?

Anyway i'm stopping here for now, i think i'll start Automata tomorrow

You’ll learn about that in automata, any more will be a spoiler to that game.

Just to be sure, you did get all the endings, right? Also there's some side material that explain things more in depth.

No, i only finished it once and the last part was a struggle for real, also i don't have that much time to replay a game three times

Now i have to go and i think in before i come back in 4 hours this thread is going to be closed, but thanks for the explaination, i'll come back to v if i need help with automata

Probably my main problem is that i was not caring about the history until after you got all the pieces, it's not that i was not following, it's that until then it was (almost) all "you have to save your daughter but i still don't understand the beginning of the game from 1300 years ago"

Maybe i can't understand a story if it throws all the plot in a specific moment, maybe i need it to be consistent in the whole game

you need to play and see endings A-D
then read the Ending E in the artbook.

Failing that, watch Mr. Clemps' videos.

What the living fuck? How can you have any issues with this game?
And you "don't have time" to replay a game to see its actual full story, but you still plan to start ANOTHER 80+h game, that demands practically the same thing (with way more variation tho') ??

>I didn't actually pay attention while I played Nier
Cool

>the last part was a struggle for real, also i don't have that much time to replay a game three times

You havent finished the game, retard. The true ending you have to replay it. If it helps it also skips alot of the bullshit.

>he won't understand the wolf
>he won't understand the pig and the prince
The reason I can't continue playing automata is because it's quite weak compared to nier desu

I don't agree with that at all, but we're all entitled to our own opinions

Yeah, already miss weiss and nier interaction when I reach the first boss in the desert, I should try to finish it at least

>shits on someone for not finishing Nier
>shits on Nier A without finishing it
Fucking kys you retard

you first

Route B is the best part of the game and made its shortcomings worthwhile for me.
Ending C and D, while important, aren't as major and honestly you can just look up the differences if you want. But if you don't even play route B then you have no room to criticize the game.

>I'm being retarded... on purpose!
Ok
