This little gem called hollow knight

Looks nice

Princess Remedy series
The character got a resurgence in popularity from Slap City but I don't think anyone actually tried the games.
It's a top down shooter where she gets new abilities based on the person she's currently dating. The game encourages you to dump partners and hook up with new ones to gain new attacks to fight the harder variations.

At the end of the game, you can choose any of the friends you met and dated along the way. Literally anyone or anything you've interacted with. Remedy is the first pansexual character where it actually makes a difference in the gameplay.

Yeah. Seen the character plenty of times before but never tried the games. Seems like it's worth a try though

Shitty Metroidvania only praised because "muh artstyle"

Lobotomy Corporation is a fucking 10/10 near perfect game.

A lot of people on Yea Forums know about it, and it’s really popular in Korea, though.

Age of Decadence

Both of these games had regular threads in here during their release window.

Westerado. It's an Adult Swim game that basically feels like what every "open-ended" game should be like and let's you kill whoever.

There’s still daily LC threads, you just have to look for them. It’s just not a well known game for some reason

I don't know if you are familiar with this game. It's short and linear but has a great atmosphere

Monolith is a good twin stick shooter dungeon crawler hybrid.

I always wonder how the games that get popular are found. There's so many flooding the market now and I never meet people who just try random games.
