Why is it your last level? You mean your latest?
Avoid leaps of sight. Also generally speaking if your level plays very fast people barely have time to assess the situation and figure out what to do, making your course more of a "oh ok I died but NOW I know what to do here" over and over.
The most fair kind of hard level is one that moves slow, lets players see exactly what they have to do and then they only need to execute it right. No falling thwomps or autoscroll or snake blocks or anything else putting time pressure on them.

SMB3 project is my attempt at making "a whole game" worth of levels in the SMB3 theme. The levels are very traditional, something that might have fit in the original game!
The levels are pretty short and easy so far, there's a few difficulty spikes on some levels but would still be considered very easy for Yea Forums standards. There are optional hidden red coins in the levels that drastically increase the difficulty if you're going for them!

I like it. The gimmick is pretty fun and inventive. I think its a good length as it is and might be too long if you added much more. It took me 3 and a half minutes and I only died once (to the thwomps as I had already moved so couldn't jump over them). I would say the brick blocks were helpful, it would be too fast without them imo.
Pretty nice stage that doesn't overstay its welcome. The bullet bills feel a little out of place and the fireball section is too finnicky, so i resorted to damage boosting. Dying on it is also annoying since you lose all your red coins. But i liked the bomb minigame.
I'd put a better reward for collecting all of them, though. At least one or 2 1-Ups would've been fair considering the risk

It's a fun stage, the gimmick is decent, it is clear what to do most of the time and it isn't too easy. Checkpoint placement is fair and you get enough items (maybe one or two too much but that depends on your target difficulty).
The length is about right. I wouldn't add a whole seciton, maybe a small boss room at most if you don't want to end your stage there.

Use stage elements to communicate. Use coins to lead the player into a certain direction. Use arrows to point at the main path. If you want to make a complicated concept, try to introduce it in a save environment first and make sure that the player knows what to do

I’m not a fan of the trial and error in the shell timing on your first one. I’m in the last section, and the positioning of the last bounce is very inconsistent because it depends on how you release the first shell. Having to make a shell jump off of that is painful.

Beat it. Great level, not too challenging, fair checkpoints, cool design, you stuck to a few elements and made a good course around them. If you wanted it to be much harder you could play around with the platform speed or make the sawblade gaps tighter, but I like it as it is.

Beat it. I see you tried to use Bowser Jr. to do the mini boss of the Mega Man stage there. Pretty good level all around and easy enough. I did accidentally find a softlock in the skewer section though. If you fall down into the water there you can just about make it back onto the vines to continue playing, but not. So you gotta restart. No biggie just thought I'd mention it.
Like the idea and I'd keep trying but you need to lose the checkpoint in the beginning that serves zero purpose since it is 5 seconds after the start and move it after the first upside down wiggler section.
You get a mushroom for free every other level, and it's impossible to fall, what the fuck
NSMBU is actually the best style. SMB and SMB3 are ugly, SMW's Ghost House is the worst version of that level theme, none of them have wall jumping and 3DW is just.. well lol. NSMBU has wall jumps but none of the overpowered shit 3DW does and all its level themes are nice because they have good visuals and music that actually suit their themes.
First clear on PBB. It’s an interesting concept, pretty hard to land on those blocks though.
Bowser level was ok. Long jump level was fun but took a while. I like fire pit even though its ten seconds.

My first, and so far only course I've made.
I tried to make it medium difficulty with a few tricky bits here and there. I'm not sure how well I pulled that off. I also tried to teach mechanics in earlier parts that you need for later on, and some good aesthetics too.
I'd really appreciate any thoughts on it.
Nah, I can name quite a few tactical RPGs that are exponentially better. The FE games really have no redeeming qualities that set them aside and I suspect the people that play them are retards that think Japan invented the TRPG and garbage like FFT and Ogre are the peak of the genre.

The second red coin, I tried to get it twice, and died to the scrolling screen both times, did you try getting it yourself?
At the bottom of the scrolling section, there's a horde of pipes, and one is differently colloured, I tried entering this one, and i couldn't, died, and really didn't feel like trying out every green pipe to see which one I needed to go in, because going through an autoscroll level is a slog for me

The red coins add challenge to the level, it's very possible to get with some time to spare!
I realize water + scroll = cancer. I wanted to make one though and i'm prepared to take all the boo's it gets ^^ You were at the very end of the scroll section though as I made it quite short, the rest is a normal level with checkpoint.

My newest level using a mechanic not many people use. Wigglers can actually project light in front of them like spotlights, so I made a level where you manipulate wigglers to light up the path ahead of you.
It's back with a vengence, with half of it taken apart and fixed up I think it's finally good now

medals for easy/normal would require you to play basically 24/7 because it's so easy to do those so people get never ending records in the thousands
in comparison: you get a super expert silver medal "just" for reaching a score of 10
I was ranked ~900th when I had around 370 normal endless and got a bronze but you have to play 10 or 20 a day if you want to keep it.
Got a silver for first clears though you can see me on page 2.

Bit Crusade 3 is an adventure series of Mario levels that play in the traditional sense (scaling difficulty, hidden rooms and level theming). So if you like traditional Mario stages you’ll probably like these. The “game” will eventually utilize all 5 styles so there’s a little something for everyone. Every stage has five red coins hidden within that unlock a super bonus room at the end.

I just woke up but yeah I’m here, I’m glad you liked it, when I got home last night I was gonna play some more levels but my body gave out on me, I saw you had uploaded a new one so I powered through to make sure I beat it before I crashed. Pretty baller as usual, though I’d say it’s definitely the longest out of all the stages you’ve made so far. I chalk that up to the nature of the level, having to wait for the magma trails and stuff(which I thought were awesome, when you mentioned it before truthfully I didn’t know how you were gonna do it exactly but it they were really cool so props). Lots to do and things to find as well, on top of great visuals. The drawing I did could have been better but like I said I was half dead by the time I finished lol.

I can see how you’d think that, though it was more supposed to be a reference to the Plant 42 boss from RE1. Lots of the rooms and visuals draw from the various RE games like the dark room from RE2 to name one. After I play a buncha levels I plan on wrapping up World 3, already got an idea in mind. How can I force a player to eat a shell (and keep it in their mouth) as yoshi?
Well, mechanically you can't I think. but if you make it clear to the player that they have to eat a shell early on with Yoshi and then bring it all the way to a much later point in your stage where they need it to activate a block or on/off switch or something, that would work.
Just make sure people know you ask for this.

Reminded me much of the level from DKC2 of the same name, which is where I'm guessing you got the inspiration from it. This one was ok, the challenge wasn't ridiculous even with the hammer bros and the win condition since its fairly short. What it lacks is polish visually, it kinda looks thrown together, which for a level like this I don't expect it to look amazing since its supposed to be more challenge focused but it could stand to be touched up a little.
If you plan to use the music tracks from the wheel, commit to it on what you want to have played in the stage. If you just slap a single note on the entrance pipe so that the bonus theme plays for like 2 seconds then either drag it on mario or don't bother, the athletic theme is fine as is for this kinda stage and it comes off as lazy.

I like water levels, and this ones not too bad, probably the best one out of the bunch I played. With the way the Lakitus are set up it plays to horizontal movement which is a strength of water stages, easy to maintain a constant altitude and dodge the spinies. Thank you for the checkpoint, left a silly doodle on it.

The leaf at the start is nice to help survive the assrape train of Hammer Bros. Like holy fuck there's waaaaaaaaay too many in the first half The clown car isn't really good at tight precise naviagtion, especially with how many grinders and tight passages there are in the first section, then combined with the hammer rape you either have to tediously kill them one by one as they approach and hope you don't fall to your death or do what I did, just damage boost and hope for the best. The second half is a lot better, the hallways are more open and theres way fewer hammer bros. If you had switched the sections I probably wouldn't have minded the Hammer Bangbus so much.
I think you could make some good stages with some more practice, keep at it man!

It's my opinion, but your levels aren't really fun.
Trying to dodge 5 hammer brothers on clouds, lakitus trough narrow underwater spike passages, and hammers falling from the top of the screen from offscreen hammer bros on the glide map while still dodging stage hazards isn't really fun for me.
Difficulty is more frustrating the more it depends on random enemy movement instead of your own.
Also, it is almost impossible to pass that double fire gate after the first checkpoint of Airship Antics without damage boosting.
i'd recommend you to create difficulty trough precise enemy placement and stage hazards instead of just letting them fly around.

Thanks glad it felt fair! Lost levels are mixed bag but overall good. They have some bullshit mazes (3 hallways on screen pick wrong one and back to start, the equally cancerous ancestor of "pick-a-pipe").

I think it's a good level overall, but I have a couple issues with it. Whenever you have red coins in a level, you should always put the last coin in a safe area by the locked door. If you get all the coins and die, you lose the coins AND the key. Also, when the three shells drop off at the end, there wasn't any way to know that you needed to be riding the one in front.

I did hear about 'key death' but I assumed that only happened if you died with the key AFTER a checkpoint. So I thought that if you get the last coin and die, you go back to the checkpoint with all but the last coin. Was I mistaken? In that case, I'm sorry. I will fix that.

You don't necessarily need to, you can ride whichever and then jump from one to the other as you see fit.

This level really does suck ass.
A few thoughts on Duck & Cover. First I think you need more easy reset doors back to the shell. Second I really like what you are going for but the first challenge with the flames was wayyyy too slow and tedious - like crawling under barbed wire. I think it would make an okay later challenge but as a beginning it killed the level momentum.
These types of courses are pretty tough, check out some of SilentTron's stuff for ideas of what I'm talking about.

Really loved this one, liked and followed. You can tell a lot of love was put into it, keep up the good work, user.
Duck & Cover has a good concept, but it seems much harder than it needs to be. The timing on the burner section for example is way too tight; you should have started with something simple like some a fire bars or a buzzsaw on a track. And the last section with the skewers is such a drag I don't even want to finish. That part is way too drawn out, and having to wait several cycles for the fire bars and skewers to be in a safe position is a pain. Three skewers would have been okay, but not 7.

Too long for a course with no checkpoint and the last part with the fire bars (I assume it's the end) is too much. For each part of the course consider how the player will feel when they are kicked back to the start
Losing the shell sucks in some places because you have to restart but I'm not sure how to resolve that, I guess more shell spawners

This level deserves more love.
Very nice, cool theme you iterate on throughout the course of using obstacles to push against so you fall down the spike gaps perfectly. Nice idea for a boss fight as well, really liked it all.
Duck & Cover is full of shoddy design.
The gap in the saws while riding the blue platform indicates that you should let go, but doing this kills you.
You should give the player a safe landing spot in front of the firebar segment.
The way you've set up the whirlwind made me think that you want players to bounce off the floating shell.
You could vastly improve the level by implementing a makeshift checkpoint system. The easiest way to do this would be to use key doors that take you back to the start, and place the keys inside enemies, like piranha plants, that can't be killed without the shell.

This one’s pretty cool. It’s got a good theme and the gimmick is incorporated into the boss fight which people forget to do a lot of the time. I think it overstays it’s welcome just a little but honestly that’s probably just my impatience.

This one is really rough and could use a revision, but props to you for actually using Meowser the way he’s meant to be used. There’s some really fun sections in this stage but it needs some polish, there’s an element of randomness to Meowser and the Magikoopas that can just totally fuck you over sometimes.

This one’s pretty charming and tricks you in a way that doesn’t feel malicious like a lot of levels with stuff you wouldn’t be able to see coming feel, I think it might be the sound effects that help out with that.
An actually decent Meowser stage, ten times better than those where you're stuck in a room with him and have to fireball him down.
Still rough on the edges and needs some polish, there's a section where a stack block can push you into dry bones and the kameks can screw you sometimes, but overall fun stage

Was alright yeah, the last on/off construction thing was a tad annoying the first time I got there but otherwise solid
No, but i can think of a makeshift way to accomplish that:
Place sun in the middle of the level.
Warp player to the middle.
Place a checkpoint in the middle, but don't let the player access it at this point.
Have player travel to the left.
Once the player reaches the edge, warp them to the checkpoint.
Have the player travel to the right.
sounds pretty good.

Refreshingly traditional, you got the feel of SMB3 about right, was fun to speedrun.
Not a big issue but I managed to get stuck under one of the question blocks, next to the checkpoint. As big Mario slide under the square thing and break the brick under the question block.

A level made with just fire bars, flame thrusters, and lava bubbles (and bob-ombs) Timing is important.
Let me if I should replace/remove the vertical section, or if I should add on some more. I have a few more things I want to do, but I wasn't sure where to put them so I left it out.
The one where I ride on top of Thwomp while breaking blocks. I find that more dangerous than the rest of the whole level. Maybe I just suck at the hammer powerup but the delay to it and the way you get shoved back if you don't break it perfectly makes it really hard for me.
Sorry, I've always wanted to make one of those myself. I've only seen it twice, once in MM1 and once in MM2. My goal was to make a level that had a fun enough gimmick that I could make it harder than my normal levels, but it didn't end up being that hard.
Alright for a first try, was kind of enemy spammy. Generally the player wants to avoid damage but it felt like taking damage and running to the end was the right strat. You can prevent it by lengthening some parts to make the invincibility time out. Then you can adjust the enemies so that it's fair.
Unless damage boosting was the design, in which case carry on
That POW block stunt was radical. The only real issue I had with the level is that I naturally spin jumped at that part, destroying the shell.
Yeah, that one was a bit tricky so i put sound effects when you had to press the button. Wish i found a way to signify that.
Its probably better that it isn't hard to be honest. When you have a wacky gimmick like that its best to just let the player enjoy it. Also I was just joking when I said 20 it actually only like three times today.
