I'm playing as Venom and I'm having fun but stuff doesn't feel right. Enemies don't have hitstun it seems which gets me hit more than I like. Synergy attacks don't seem to go off even though I'm holding zr and see the icon flash. This also has me unable to do shit with the Doc Oc infinity trial. Team was Venom, Spidey, Spider-Gwen, and Ironman. They can all do synergy attacks together but they rarely hit Octavius.

you dont need to hold zr to activate a synergy attack. Just press A when it prompts you.

Figured zr with the right attack would prompt the computer to join in. Even if it flashes yellow Doc Oc never takes damage. I don't get it.

you can always switch to one of the computer characters right away and activate the synergy attack on your own.

Fun fact, Nadji Jeter as Miles, William Salyers as Doc Oct, and Yuri Lowenthal all return from Spiderman PS4 to do their characters again, with Laura Bailey doong Black Widow from Square Enix's Avengers.
Despite this Marvel games are not connected to allow Nintendo, Square,and Sony to make their own stories without having to pay attention to their competition.

Reminder that spiderman is so awful that ALL characters he can web, can be one hit killed by any real damage dealer. The only real reason he can web people is to compensate for his own mediocre damage and inability to kill people without keeping them restrained.

It's got a ton of variety and the mechanics are surprisingly solid.

The Bullseye fight was the worst offender. Less bad when playing solo. You using heroic or default camera? You can adjust the heroic one pretty freely, and locking on to your target goes a long way.

Imo its purely because everything has been so fucking samey and lacked the ‘fun’ that these games had. Sure its not the greatest game, but fuck me if after a decade of missing this type of game it isn’t filling a void

How do you do synergy attacks with other humans in coop? I know ZR activates it for COM characters.

It was coop. I even switched to solo and back to try and fix it but no luck.

That's what I meant by doing the move solo. You can't have synergy by yourself. They even call them abilities in the manual, so presumably the trials that require synergy damage won't be helped by doing the moves with one character.
