Looks like Yea Forums memed me into buying another luke warm game.
>Speed classes shit on every single other class in the game making lobbies nothing but Ami, Crunch, Tiny, and more Ami >Items present in the game are basically so useless they may as well remove them all aside from the Uka Uka/Aku Aku masks >Missile tracking is non existent and will regularly swerve right into walls even if someone is in front of you >Bombs 'tracking' works against them more often then not >Clock is worthless because people can just drift boost with impunity anyway >Glowing Orb, the game's Blue Shell, is so pathetically slow the first place racer can run 2 laps before it catches them >It is virtually impossible to catch anyone in the lead because items are terrible, absolutely no amount of racing skill will catch a cemented first place racer if they at all decent at the game >Racers in first place can and will leave Bottles/Crates at all the shortcut points. This already makes the impossible task of catching them even harder >P2P connection means every single race is you getting squashed out of nowhere, and people recovering instantly from your hits
This game has serious balance issues The single player content is fun, the online is a crapshoot of dogshit.
>It is virtually impossible to catch anyone in the lead because items are terrible, absolutely no amount of racing skill will catch a cemented first place racer if they at all decent at the game
they're very upset that people actually want to discuss the game in threads that have actual discussion instead of going where discussion goes to die
Alexander Hughes
They were close enough for you to easily catch up. This isn't impressive. Now if they were WAAAAY further away, like half a track's length away, then it would be impossible to catch up if that player was good
>Now if they were WAAAAY further away, like half a track's length away, then it would be impossible to catch up if that player was good The webm was shortened, but you can see the field spread on the map. That's exactly how it was until lap 2 started because I was still neck and neck with Tawna on lap 1.
>how do you do reverse speeding, it's not even possible on crash cove
Luis Smith
I like to entertain the idea that the contestants in CTR are superstars because the races are being broadcasted (see slide coliseum) and have people watching them
>>Racers in first place can and will leave Bottles/Crates at all the shortcut points. This already makes the impossible task of catching them even harder Learn to control your trajectory and save your items, nitwit. I'm an average player but I've still been able to get Top 3 in matches where shortcuts are filled with TNT and beakers. Slow down, bounce, use a missle, hold a sheild, save a mask, or trail behind someone else so they can take the damage before you. These are several simple solutions. Use them.
Thanks, I was thinking being in the air just used up my reserves since I seem to lose them on the air, maybe I'm airbraking without noticing or I'm doing it wrong.
William Adams
>Is Dragon Mines really that bad? have fun with crash cove
Already done it, mate ;^) As well as Tiny's Temple and Deep Sea Driving
Xavier Moore
if you can't have fun with crash racing then stop playing video games altogether, or go see a shrink for your depression.
John Morgan
isn't the legitimate answer to this literally just >git gud tho?
Ryan Lopez
>everyone who finds faults with the game is mk coddled
Come on user, this missile shit is actually fucking infuriating. Between the undercooked crosshair that tells you jackshit about where the missile actually is and the missile's ability to lose foes around corner after barely tickling the fur of their asscrack, this item is just straight up frustrating
Thomas Long
They gotta do something about the online track selection. IM FUCKING SICK OF TINY ARENA
Lincoln Bennett
Dragon Mines is easy as long as you know how to u-turn up the spiral Oxide fucks it up every lap and that's really your key to victory
>Hits guy in second place >He still comes in second place This webm is pointless
Isaac Cox
>Tiny Arena >Twilight Tour >Tiny Arena >Assembly Lane >Twilight Tour >Crash Cove >Crash Cove >Roo's Tubes >Twilight Tour >Polar Pass >Assembly Lane >Twilight Tour >Tiny Arena
Jayden Campbell
>tiny arena >twilight tour >crash cove >electron ave
You honestly only need to practice these tracks to be competent online. Anything else gets picked and people start leaving lobby
Carter Bailey
Fuck electron ave. If I don't DNF the lobby I don't come in first. What's the fucking point?
Levi Cook
I haven't picked the game up yet, but I plan to P'ease tell me you're exaggerating when it comes to the lack of online variety, I'm still fucking scarred from MK7 where the rooms would constantly get spammed with SNES Rainbow Road, Coconut Mall, and Symphony Speedway
Evan Perry
It just full of retarded people who wants to play only few same tracks
Evan Ramirez
Unfortunately there isn't that much variety. Especially since the same tracks come up online constantly. I imagine the dinosaur track will be spammed next GP.
Who cares what character people choose? No one should want to run the same track 4 times in a row but they fucking try
Levi Parker
So I guess Switch users gave up on the Nitro leaderboard, I barely made 42k and that puts me in the 2% without even trying.
Chase Barnes
you should only listen t v if you think gta v was a shit game along with botw, monster hunter world, resident evil 6.
also that darksouls is the best series ever, games have a soul or no soul based entierly on art style. and finally youre a fag that wants hard cocks even though youre a man.
if this doesnt describe you dont take v's advice on anything watch 5 reviews. look up pros and cons. and always always tell v to shove it when it comes to their opinion.
Ethan Cox
Well shit, thanks for answering There really needs to be a system for online Kart racers where the same track can't be chosen within like 5 races of itself, and can only be played so many times per lobby
Oh right, I forgot p2p was the standard recently for some reason. So it's just faggots quitting until they get their level or something.
Nolan Phillips
I only do it if everyone picks fucking Twilight Tour forcing them to wait longer is the least I can do
Carter Sullivan
I just had >Coco Park >Roo's Tubes >Dingo Canyon >Electron Avenue and guess which got picked that made him leave
Carter Thomas
Will it still be possible to unlock tawna and the trophy girls after the grand prix? I havent played at all since it got released
Robert Long
>Missing my U-turns for some reason >Have to take a look at my controller to realize I've been playing with the Analog instead of the D-Pad Muscle memory is a crazy thing.
Don't worry, the lobby will be disbanded after the 3rd race on twilight tour Then you can repeat the madness with the next lobby
Gabriel Parker
It's better than losing the bonus.
James Martinez
Switch or Xbox?
Isaac Stewart
Switch. Looks like CTR is too difficult for Mario Kart babies.
Dylan Rodriguez
My condolences
Ayden Butler
Bought it on switch for the irony
Caleb Rivera
I'm sure you're just trying to help but your solutions are crap my guy. Trying to strategize with items online is just impossible due to the shitty connections. Missiles, masks, and bombs hit you while being miles away making evading them with walls or throwing items behind you fail most times. That reticle is often misleading and even looking behind you doesn't help. Running over a beaker that is invisible or having someone behind you drop a crate on your head are also things that negate any kind of skillful play. Saving your shields for tight spots is a good idea but then you get it taken away by 1 of the 4 clocks in the race. Since there is no indication for when a clock is coming trying to plan for them is a wasted effort.
Playing smart will get you far but honestly with the current item balance and latency issues every race feels more dependent on luck than skill.
It doesn't happen in every lobby, but I had one where the fuckers chose twilight tour 5 times in a row. PS4 player here.
Elijah Reyes
Ps4 here. Yeah if twilight tour is on the list it will be picked same with electron ave and hyperspace way.
Dylan Thompson
I usually just leave when ever they pick tiny arena or twillight tour since they pick them so much and I don’t want to play them anymore
Dylan Rogers
>Full lobby >4 votes for twilight tour >4 votes for clockwork wumpa >clockwork wumpa gets chosen >3 people leave What the fuck is going on?
Josiah Sanders
Why doesn't this game do the thing that MK7 does for track selection where everyone picks a track and then the game just rolls to see which person's gets picked? It seems silly to me that they can't figure this out when a popular game that came out more than 7 years ago already did it better.
Lucas Phillips
I normally play speed and finish in 1st place nearly every race unless the map is one of those few I haven't practiced much. Tonight I tried out a balanced character online for the first time and was designated 3rd place, almost every single race I did. Is the difference that staggering or am I just not used to taking the track lines with the weird turning? There was some mad item fuckery but I don't feel that excuses it
Hudson White
They don't want a 'difficult' track.
Cooper Garcia
Absolute garbage taste
Lincoln Morris
You're not used to the character. I can switch between accel and turning but balanced fucks me up
Evan Diaz
It's that staggering. Even when racing against the AI on hard it's much harder to get a lead as a non speed character
Easton Lopez
Balanced is trash. Imagine being slow with mediocre turning and ass acceleration. I wont stop playing Fake Crash cause he is my boy and balanced is what I am most familiar with but when I do switch it up I can feel the difference and its staggering.
Bentley Gonzalez
Those are the tracks that pay the most wumpa coins online, so of course people rather vote for them rather than short shitty tracks with barely any money for winning
