As most of you may know, Mother's 30th Anniversary is tomorrow, and along with it comes a new update. This update will add Hero as well as an update to WoL that allows you to play through all the battles and navigate the map using LaboVR. Along with this, new spirits are coming including new Mother spirits such as Porky and Giegue. Unfortunately there's not too much in that update besides those and the new Mii Costumes (yes Geno's a mii costume again), so guess we'll have to wait for Banjo to get more useful single player modes

Honestly not too sure why they didn't add him in the main game, what I've heard is they were planning a brand new Porky battle that consists of fighting the mech he uses in Mother 3 then crawling in to the Absolutely Safe Capsule, ending the fight, but unfortunately there wasn't enough time to finish his boss battle in the end

They're not advertising the spirits specifically in the content approaching video, but rather in the WoL LaboVR section they do show these new spirits. I'm not sure what other new spirits will be added in the game (if any new Mother spirits), but these are certainly new ones in the Spirit Board

Why the fuck would they add the option to have VR battles in WOL when the damn thing doesn’t even have a head strap?
You can’t even battle in the VR mode already (You’re forced to just watch the CPU fight) and the stage selection is limited in VR mode to like 40 stages. I don’t see them doing this anytime soon.

Sorry, my mistake. I completely forgot. However, this still makes no sense. Only 50 stages are even available in VR mode for one reason or another though. And not having a strap makes it really dumb to even have the mode in the first place.

As a huge Mother fan, i'd be happy with this. I want to see Porky, but I'd be fine if he isn't a character. I feel lucky as it is getting Lucas all things considered. I am genuinely peeved though that Porky seems to have been shafted by not even getting a spirit. They should have brought back his boss fight instead of Galleom. I don't think they would use the name "Giegue" though so I don't believe you.
