It was the armor I wore as a spellsword.

if it weren't for the ugly color palette it could actually look good

Any armor from fallout 4

90% of WoW armors
Painted-on bullshit that clashes with itself

Attached: 1545581671857.png (640x480, 427K)

is this an EEnE reference?

It looks retarded but in all fairness does look like something one could reasonably make after an apocolypse

>Headlamp is purely decoration, despite having other helmets having functional headlamps
>No version that includes the targeting display visor, not even the pre-war story segment
How did Betheseda screw up arguably the most iconic armor set in the entire series?

For mod makers to pick up the slack.

Would or should? No

D:

I would wear that. It's way better than Skyrim glass.

Attached: Glass_Armor_Male.png (1800x2400, 2.94M)

Glass armor has never looked good in any TES game.

I hate the helmet, but otherwise I'm fine with the plastic glass

It really isn't.

even skyrim's dull, barely-even-glass armor is infinitely better than wearing a crystallized mountain dew sports bra and shoulder pads

not even close

Skyrim's is the best of a bad lot to choose from. It is a very low bar.

Morrowind still has the best glass armor

Makes a statement and posts a pic.
Why would say something and post evidence you are wrong at the same time?

Oof, okay, hard mode on: Show me worse armor from something that's NOT a Bethesda game.

What an abomination, they should make a different material for light armour's final tier in future TES games
That isn't dragonscale... that's also shit to look at

Done.

Attached: drangleic.jpg (1994x1480, 443K)

god, what a shit game

Fucking EEnEfags think everything’s a reference

eh.

tbqh I;m a big fan of MW's. it's a fun kind of weird, at least. the helmet almost lets me look past the stupid pointy glass shards that serve literally no practical purpose.

He was obviously joking you dumb twat.

skyrim has some horrible sets. most of the helmets especially suck

the majority of non-lewd asian games are worse.

>you got 1000 polies for the entire set

Fucking hell how hard is it for bethesda to get some decent modellers(and animators, jesus christ)

Attached: 1515318438056.jpg (410x411, 10K)

It looks good on high elves only that's the race it's made for along with elven armor

Looks like a shittu Sonic OC

>Have a material that's extremely hard and durable, but borderline impossible to work with during the smithing process
>Circumvent the actual glass smithing by using a more malleable metal to work with as the base while framing it with smaller glass insets
>All the benefits of glass with significantly less difficulty in manufacture

Glass armor in Skyrim is a 200 IQ design. Only brainlets disagree because "hur, why doesn't it make my character look like a green frost atronach, dur"

Attached: FlameAtronach.png (772x1000, 1.13M)

Sure he was faggot

Attached: 518605.jpg (215x300, 22K)

Which basically leads to hard sharp shards of material sitting on a softer, more conventional frame. Just look at the breastplate. Especially the ribs. If it gets struck from the front in a way that deforms the surrounding metal enough, the glass shards will get pushed into your ribcage. What a fun thought.

You are fucking insane.

Nope. Skyrim's Glass armor is the best looking. I'm actually mad that that shitty abomination of "armor" is the best Light Armor in Morrowind. It just looks like armor with shards of Glass taped to it.

one of the reasons i couldnt play this

Except hardened glass DOESN'T shatter that's the entire fucking point of using it for armor and why it's so high tier. The glass provides stress support for the moonstone breastplate, preventing it from deforming.

This one was so fucking dumb, looks like pieces from a toilet glued together.

I have never said, that it shatters, my man. That is even the problem. Putting a miraculously hard and rigid material over a frame of comparatively malleable material just means you have noodle armour with inbuilt shrapnel. Not shattering of anything needed, since you already spickered your whole armour with glass shards like a drag queen glueing rhinestones on her cocktail dress.

How would impact to the the chest cause the insets near the ribs to move inwards? Elven armor isn't a cloth. It's still a fairly durable metal in it's own right.

glass experience requiem?

looks good on a fat man/10

It’s not just modelers they need, they also need people who can design a decent set of armor.

Then just use a well-thought out suit made of the elven armour. The insets on the ribcage run parallel to the ribs. If the chestplate gets struck (hard enough) at the seam between the metal and the glass shards, the metal will bend inwards. But the glass can not bend, because it is very rigid and inflexible. It can do one of two things. It can shatter, which is not what we want, or it can move. In this case it would rotate, following the way the surrounding metal bends inward. So now the glass shard is not paralell to your ribs, but perpendicular; pointing one of its edges inwards. And that is not a recipe for a good outcome either.

Take off the helm and everything else looks great

>makes a statement and posts a pic
You realize that this is what people do on this site right?
You need to go back.

chiten and bonemold look so good in skyrim
I don't care what province were in next, they need to be mainstay armors

Don't @ me cunts

This is what happens when you finally have a hit game (Skyrim) and you think that you are the shit now and can't do no wrong.
Fallout 4 is an abomination in so many aspects it just doesn't make any sense.

Oblivion helmets are just the worst. Half of my favorites came from that game, if helmets were a non-factor.

>these aren't even the worst armor

Attached: sFRuh4h.jpg (810x1023, 200K)

jesus christ.

Literally any armor from WoW.

dilate

You missed the point brainlet.

This armor is superior to any armor.

>morrowind so far is the only one that has any kind of actual medieval knight esque armour
I just want to rp as a honourable knight or something already.

also, morrowind's Orcish armour looks amazing. Orcs should have stayed as basically samurai.

Attached: Ancient_Steel_Armor_-_Morrowind.png (600x1000, 1.29M)

90% of the armor sets released in Destiny 2, particularly for warlocks and titans.

how does this armor make sense
a) in the world of fallout with rifles, lasers, guns explosives etc
b) at all
did the designers never stopped to ask themselves if this is any good?

bet you're the kind of guy who think cargo shorts look cool

ow the edge

The chest piece always looks like a frilly cravat which is funny for an orc to have.

morrowinds daedric armor is supreme

Imagine making a generic rip off of the Aliens armor, then creating a reboot 25 years later, deciding that you're going to 'really make the armor rad this time' and coming up with pic related.

unrightfully ignored.

there is absolutely nothing good about this armor.

Not even close to the worst armor in the game.

fine taste.

i agree, it had the best daedric too
ebony as well

seek freud

look how washed out and samey skyrim's armors look. fuck that piece of shit game

multiple helmets, they were scrapped right?

they appear in the game dude
there isn't a standard daedric helm

Not even the worst looking set in the game.

Fuck you that one is cool.

Looks fine, faggot.

>visor meant for the spartan to see thier hud and the battle field
>lol what if they gotta move their head to see the other side of their visor, put that in the design

Man, why did they get rid of Mithril? Did Bethesda just...forget?

Attached: Mithril_Cuirass.png (751x577, 384K)

they saw the tolkien fad passed and dropped it quicker than a pile of shit

Tolkien...fad? Yeah can't wait for that Shakespeare fad to be over soon too

What is this stand's name?

shakespeare fad died after lion king lol
and tolkien fad definitely died and even the hobbit movies could bring it back

nah Oblivion has Crusader armor which comes the closest to what you're looking for

Attached: PelinalCrusader.png (1027x1176, 1.26M)

That armor looks fine if it's on a male instead of a tiny scrawny female.

When compared to other armor sets in vanilla it looks like shit, but when you compare it to TBC and later it doesn't stand out at all.

nobody wore those helmets, dumb dumb

Warcraft's aesthetic took a nosedive in the BC, managed to climb back up in Wrath, and then irrevocably became hilariously bad afterward. It combines the tiny boots problem of Fallout 4 armors with the XBOX-HUEG shoulders of Warhammer 40k.

its fantasy dumb dumb

IIRC they're all in the game, each is worn by a single NPC.

>Oblivitards are this delusional

>that midriff

The comment already says what game. Oblivion, the same game as OP's armor, only this is from the Knights of the Nine expansion.

Attached: runescape-equip-character.png (736x405, 91K)

How were Runescape's graphics modeled? This entire scene looks like...
Yeesh.

somehow completely forgot about, definitely the closest out of oblivion and skyrim. the fact it's not a regular set though and has to be gotten through a quest are the only downsides.

since oblivion went so far in the traditional fantasy direction, they should have had more knights walking around.

nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41848
Closest thing to it

The entire game was made in javascript in the early 2000s by really really lame british nerds

In that case, they probably made those manually by entering the coordinates of each edge that made up the model, the same way Notch manually made the first mob models for Minecraft. It explains the weirdness in the arms, the gouraud shading, and the fact it looks like it came from the early 90s.

Attached: 321323_6604451_updates.png (700x400, 284K)

If you liked skyrim you automatically lose the credibility to shit on oblivion. Too strong of a sign you have shit normalfag taste.

This is supposed to be makeshift raider armor, specifically the ones in Fallout’s version of Bar Harbor, and reflects the fishing culture of Maine. Of course it wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing.

I liked oblivion.

Shut up, Skyrim’s glass is perfect and miles better than Oblivion’s and Morrowind.

I want Tolkien inspired elder scrolls

he tried but the result is closer to monster hunter than morrowind

oblivion looks like THAT?

the glass is supposed to be tough, and yet it looks more like decorative accents than actual armor material

This is a dope joke set though.

Skyrim also has Dawnguard armor which is my personal favorite of the Elder Scrolls armor. While it does not carry that stereotypical early-mid medieval knight image the brigandine "steel on leather" look was just as common during the time period. The helmet is a bit more fantastical but still believable and neat.

>20 buckles

I actually have my BOS play through character wearing the light combat armor in black with a BOS black outfit. It looks pretty nice.

>it's all bethesda

Attached: 1469171474359.jpg (448x337, 24K)

Bethesda wishes. With a couple dozen mods or so, maybe considering the pic is a promo image for the dlc so it's rendered to the heavens. In game is not as flattering but nevertheless one of the most aesthetic sets you can get.

Attached: 5279219253_c6db0fb48e_b.jpg (819x1024, 318K)

I love this armor, looks coolest on orc imho.

Oblivion daedric, greatest of all time and realms

And it appears each one is necessary for tightening something or other. I would imagine you want your armor to be as form-fitting as possible.

buckles are a weakpoint, if the enemy slashes the buckles then you've locked the armor loose. real armor has buckles underneath the armor. the armor protects itself.

the only one where I can't pick a clear winner is the dwemer one

Does that Skyrim have a depression filter over it or something, or is the game actually that fucking drab?

>morrowind is almost 2 decades old
>still has the best looking armors overall

Attached: ur chad.png (1152x1080, 611K)

There are a few helms, each is the tormented face of a failed Xivilai, it's soul eternally trapped in the mask; begging for a bitter mercy it will surely never receive.

>sets
I suppose if you were given a uniform to wear you wouldn't customize it at all

remove the fins on the boots and make the helmet cooler
solved, becomes good armor

Well no. If it's a uniform that implies being part of some institution with a dress code. You'd probably get a write up if you're running around improperly dressed.

Thought of this immediately

RIP MERP

He meant Peter Jackson fad. And there is no Shakespeare fad, only retarded English learning curriculums

Boy do I have a game for you. It's about closing gates.

It was a fucking java browser game created in the early 2000s. What were you expecting?

>literally wearing a piss-stained toilet
I love this armor so much for how terrible it is.

Did Nomura design this?

Literally all of those belts and buckles are perfectly functional though.

A lot of games looked like that in the late 2000s/early 2010s

Yes actually. There's a quest where you get high with a kajihit and everything actually looks colour correct when you are high.

Skyrim is just disgustingly washed-out and desaturated by default. It's why everyone uses ENBs for Skyrim even though ENBs look like shit; the default game just looks that much worse

I really hate nuXCOM late-game armor, especially compared to 2's midgame armor
>yo what would a squad of battle-hardened terrorist insurgents be wearing at the height of their power? How about a retarded Silver Surfer outfit that could make even a Tau enthusiast cringe

ludo
