these guys sound really picky - bfv is hella fun, i love the vast majority of the changes dice has made and constantly have great matches, play almost daily. that jack frags video he talks bout missing teamplay when taking out tanks and mentions the setting as a good reason why (no lock on stuff in ww2) but the teamplay comes from the players, good players with a tank will cover it's flanks so a solo assault with his 3 rockets, dynamite and at grenade can wreck a tank but he should have to fight through the infantry covering the tank - if a tank wants to be solo and just go ham then it's the driver's own fault for even doing that shit

i have a 4770k non-k and a 1070 and the game still runs like garbage for me even on medium settings. if i play in dx11 i struggle to even hit over 60-70 fps in 64 player maps and in dx12 mode i get around 100-120 on the same medium settings however even dx12 with its much better cpu utilisation can't even get my 1070 to use 100% utilisation it hovers in the 80s.

i agree. this isn't a battlefield game like we're used to. even the weapon selection is complete fucking ass with like 5 guns per class with only reticle attachments. even older battlefields like bf4 had like 15 guns per class with a fuckload of attachment options and gadgets etc. granted it's ww2 but even call of duty ww2 manages to have more weapon attachments that feel authentic.

also my 4770k is at 4.4ghz all the time due to an overlock - i don't let it boost itself and throttle and i have 32gb ram

i don't use gfe either. i play at fullscreen 1080p. i'm apparently getting the same performance as you despite playing at lower quality settings and at a much lower resolution. 99% of all other games i play on this runs fine it's only bf5 which runs like complete ass. i have 16gb ram, ssd and all that so i know it's not my system which is at fault here.

idk about that, i rather liked the story missions from bfv more than bf4 as well as the cool coop mode bfv added, it makes leveling weapons super easy just wasting hordes of npcs before jumping into an online game so i at least have my spec picked out. music was all better in bfv, had that really epic yet somber feel to it. i absolutely love the maps too, the fact that there's no season pass means i got a buncha friends to go in on it so now there's always people to squad up with an no one feels left out without the dlc and all the maps are very memorable, i can't even name all the bf4 maps there were so many and i rarely got to play them all, felt like bloat. bfv nailed that and then there's firestorm which is super fun when taking a break from conquest or just looking for a different pace

Primary weapons of the Assault are supposed to be mainly effective on medium-to-long range, not close quarters. Even BF1 managed to balance that properly.
Also Assault not only has the best weapons but also the ability to use anti-vehicle gadgets since Engineer/Anti-Tank doesn't exist, you can equip dynamite + any rocket launcher simultaneously.

support gets at mines and sticky nade, i've gotten like 300 tank kills with mines so far, either mine up resupply points or the major roads and most drivers don't check for them it seems. not as clutch as the launcher but it does work if you don't just sprint at a tank with at mines in your hand, gotta play the early game and lay them down before hand or well behind the retreat line

All are much better and games like bf2 and 1942 have even bigger maps. bf3 and 4 aren't even close to dead either and are better in all the ways that matter.

i think the maps aren't great and mostly feel like bf1 maps, I cant think of any that feel like they add anything to the series and destruction isnt as big of a deal anymore in the series.

As for the planes, DICe really has a problem balancing them, they're either too op/easy and frustrating for the gronds units or too useless and easy to destroy.

I want to like BF V, and there's a lot of features that i like, but let's be honest, the game is far from being finished, each patch note is a joke (they fail to solve an issue and creates other bugs), content is really low, map design is not greats, i like 3 or 4 maps and that's it. There's a lot of visibility problems, you can't disable that awful anti aliasing, etc. I could talk about the problems of BFV for hours. I hope they save it, i've paid for this game and i still play it, because the gunplay is still great, but you can't say that it's a masterpiece, at best it's a diamond in the rough, and that's at the very best. They need to slow down the battlefield serie and stop making one each two years

BF3 was nowhere near as "almost" close to BF2 leaving many forgotten features and gameplay basics, except for bringing back large scale maps and 64 players. I played BF3 and BF4 from release. On release BF4 was unplayable from a netcode perspective. However from a gameplay perspective and QOL perspective this game was better in every manner. Once the netcode was fixed in BF$ it was an entirely better game than BF3. Much more content and many more hours of fun for me and my friends.
