I would generally not play other games for this purpose as other games generally do not have the shit soundtracks associated with most gacha games. You are also leaping to the assumption that all gacha games are completely unworthy of playing at all based on their payment model, refusing to consider that they may have any redeeming characteristics at all, like FGO's character interactions, story, and party set ups, Honkai Impact 3rd's action gameplay, or Bang Dream's music and characters.
The primary problem with gacha is that few of them offer a complete package of good writing, good gameplay, and good aesthetics, and even if they do they then also need to clear the hurdle of localisation fuckery. But this also applies to most games in general, and playing gacha games at some times does not preclude me from playing other games at other times.
