I build in creative

Too easy and 0 sense of accomplishment, but post your builds plz

I usually build utilitarian blocks.
Always been bad at designing stuff, or at least having the desire to.

Just recently converted save to latest version. Mostly catching up on the maps for now.

Attached: 2019-07-24_23.17.45.png (1280x1024, 1.61M)

My builds are largely unpolished at the moment

Attached: Screenshot (6).png (1920x1080, 1.28M)

I like making my home themed. Like a classic farm, or an underwater house, or a spaceship in the End

i build almost nothing until i find the stronghold and then retrofit that into a big base

Other than a medium sized house I don't really build anything. I just like exploring caves and finding cool areas.

Love the grand scale of things, and yeah I havent tried all the map stuff yet either

Attached: Screenshot (10).png (1920x1080, 3.52M)

I like minecrap, but i hate playing alone tbqh.

Nothing. I don't like building, it's tedious and repetitive, the end result always looks like crap, and collecting the resources is a hassle.
I like exploring caves, but that aspect hasn't changed since release. I just play for a few hours and don't touch the game for 6 months.

Building takes alot of time and patience to make things aesthetic, maybe practice a building in creative mode before you build it or take time to visualize how you're going to decorate. I always hated gathering materials and would just build for my buddies when we used to play

Attached: Screenshot (12).png (1920x1080, 2.03M)

So what exactly am I looking at? Lots going on in this picture

did you build all this on your own and are there any villagers?
I did try my hand at some sort of civilisation-building gameplay
the general ideas:
>find village
>protect it and build it up
>increase villager count
>find more villages and do the same
>connect villages via different transport systems (bit limited, I know)
>create villages by importing villagers (not 3rd wordlers though)
>exploit economy so I dont have to spend all my life digging
but I got seriously discouraged after 2 villages got raided by zombies
it takes so long to wall off and light up a village compared to how quickly zombies can fuck your village up if you miss sleeping on time
>inb4 peaceful
feels like cheating

i like making penises lol

My survival goes well until I ragequit after dying in lava with precious items like a retard

Yep I built it, no villagers yet but I found out you can make your own so I plan of making a sort of walled off village market somewhere in the mix

Glorious , I'm gonna need some screenshots

Last screenshot, the more I fly around taking pictures the more I realize how much empty space I need to fill in and projects I need to finish

Attached: Screenshot (13).png (1920x1080, 3.02M)

My grandfather calls this game "Mindcontrol"

Thas cute

why are you playing crummy old "Mindcontrol" when you could be fetching pails of water

It's mostly just a giant 'diamond of space to do things in'
Not really much order to it right now.

I'm on large biomes and originally started in a massive ocean. So much of my time is doing mappin'.

>in my day we didn’t mine on the telly
>we did it with our hands
>YOU SEE THESE FUCKING MAN HANDS??
>YOU THINK GRANNY WOULD LET ME TOUCH HER FANNY WITH YOUR SISSY COMPUTWR HANDS?!

I use old 1800/1900s blueprints and try to make to a reasonable scale. so my map is scattered with random old looking housings on the map

this is me but with literally every single game
the biggest barrier to playing singleplayer games i have is nobody to share my experiences with

I don't mind it.
I guess I'm used to being alone. I'm completely alone irl anyway, don't even have anyone to talk to. It's just an extension of that.

I like building medieval shit a lot. But I frankly suck dick at building now because I haven’t played this game in so long. Getting better though. Current project is a big castle at the edge of a dark woods, with a farm/village in the plains just ahead. All in survival of course.

IP: minecraft.bigbuttsin4k.com

I’m working on an Etrian Odyssey style adventure map in a superflat world/creative. It’s nowhere near done, I’m working on the starting area. It’s more of a Java programming project than a Minecraft project, I’m trying to use command blocks to add a quest system.

By the way, does anyone have any resources for how to improve roof designs in Minecraft? Mine aren’t just square, but they’re still kinda plain looking. I want them to pop more.

I'm shit at building good looking and creative shit, I mostly stick to practical bases that would actually be rad if the game put more emphasis on the "survival" aspect of the game, but as it stands I just have a shit ton of bunkers through out my world that i regularly use, all interconnected via tunnels, el chapo style

That sounds interesting user. Shill it here when you're done, I'd like to play it.

>want to build big castle
>it's going to be awesome fuck yeah
>finish walls
>realize I have nothing to fill it with
>leave it empty and soulless forever
kill me

Attached: lindybeige gun.jpg (1065x859, 76K)

>spent a week building a comfy castle town on a group server
>just as soon as it's done the server is taken down to make way for some new shit
>I got the map file and now I just exist all alone in the world I set up to share with others
Feels bad man

I only build dirt shacks or the absolute minimum amount necessary

Fantasy is such a boring setting, I want sci fi

i plant trees upon trees until i have a massive vertical mesh of 100's of trees. I then create a tree house and pray no lightning hits.

make iron golems

...

houses

Attached: 2019-07-25_03.35.32.png (1920x1080, 1.15M)

Fuck iron golems. I have like 50 villagers in a tight space and they spawn iron golems to make it impossible to navigate.

Minefags can suck my dick.

fine, unzip

eww

i hate building because having to place torches fucking everywhere to eliminate f7 crosses fuck i hate the mob spawning mechanic so much

Unfortunately for you, microblock is a shitty mod

why are minecraft worlds BILLIONS of blocks wide but only a few blocks deep?

youtu.be/l5QpNAVw2vU

Probably to do with how chunks are loaded, easier to only load a hand full of chunks that are only like 64 blocks deep than a single chunk thats BILLIONS of blocks deep

what do you even do in this game?

>wander around
>build a square house
>wander around more
>dig giant hole and spend an hour digging back up
>forget where house is
>build another one

2 hours and i'm bored

doesn't have to be that deep, just deeper than a puddle

zoomer please go

sorry i ate all of the penises :(

you clearly never played the game

This isn't 2009, actually play the game before you post.

youtube.com/watch?v=XjkibXv84WU
Still the best minecraft song.

looks comfy, even with the creeper

Put a village inside it with each room being a house

why must you hurt me like this, user?

it ain't much, but it's mine

Attached: temp.jpg (1920x1043, 702K)

Been working on this base for 3 years now. I play in spurts every few months. Plan was to flatten a whole tier 2 map to build the base in, but it was so boring cutting down mountains I began adding farms and village houses.

playing minecraft wizhout shaders... so soulless

im sorry guys, i miss the meme, why is everyone playing minecraft again?

Attached: sigh.jpg (1600x1200, 163K)

That's the way it used to load.
But now chunks do load in 16x16x16 blocks and there's absolutely no reason a higher world wouldn't work.
It's probably a mod somewhere, of course.

>3 years for that
You must be special needs.

A typical reason, Pewdiepie did it.

hold on lemmie get on my pc and get a pic

Hey like I said, I only played in short spurts every few months. You know how boring cutting down mountains can get? I couldn't do it constantly.

WTF?????

Attached: f.jpg (459x443, 14K)

It's a meme to hate hunger.

you make these huge buildings but in the end you can't do much more than sleeping and storing shit inside them
sure you can do farming but again, not much else to do.
redstone machines are cool but they're almost always massive and won't ever fit inside a building.
I miss something like a raid mode where you're supposed to build a fort and defend it overnight with wave after wave of mobs

14/88

Attached: 1564089616937s.jpg (209x250, 9K)

right now I'm working on town on a towny server and I'm going to build some kind of castle structure but I may just get rid of the two side pillars and make it 2x2 pillars with a statue of me on top

Attached: minecraptown.png (1440x1674, 1.44M)

>lightning hits

I turned fire spread off in my town, it's towny son

>cheating

it's a towny server son with a towny plugin son and it's my town on a towny son

Minecraft popularity came back before Pewdie did it.

>Still bad at building after all of these years
how do you do it?

Attached: a38.jpg (1024x962, 67K)

Dug a 128x128 hole all the way down to bedrock and put a railcart going down and then up again when I was on painkillers for a week. Was fun, would do drugs and again

sure its not just autism?

I like to build inefficient farms in the middle of nowhere.

Attached: 1556255867236.jpg (1920x1056, 324K)

dirt huts

Lol expect it done in like a year. I don’t make halfassed shit, even if I’m not good at something I work until it’s done and done right.

And to elaborate on the EO style systems:
In each labyrinth dungeon, one “tile” is a 9x9 recognizable block pattern. That way, you can use grid paper to hand-draw the map. When it’s all said and done I’m putting a big top layer over the whole map using worldedit so that fuckers can’t cheat using an in-game map.

How long until mods start updating to the new version? I want comfy Immers Engineering.

Attached: 1562198830740.png (198x208, 69K)

>wanting to play on the latest version

You must waste stupid amounts of time just traveling

Most of the mods are dead in the latest versions.
Just play some good old version with mods.

u guys liek my castle?

Attached: 2019-07-15_14.10.17.png (1920x1017, 2.03M)

Other than phantoms, the latest version looks fun. It also makes villagers actually useful and making your own village is cool

yeah fuck that incel for not having freinds amirite fellow freind having individual

Reminds me of Penrose Stairs

Attached: 1200px-Impossible_staircase.svg.png (1200x913, 94K)

I was building a whole city in the creative, but the lack of tools like making lines, boxes, circles, fill, etc., made me give up the project.

Attached: Minecraft 1.12.2 11-Jan-18 18_51_25.png (854x480, 445K)

I dont get why people dont like the current updates they add new shit to build with and new ways to automate

huh? use worldedit

I wish console had hardcore

Implying he didn't just put wood slabs as flooring so mobs are unable to spawn entirely

giant square holes in the ground

My stuff is pretty simple looking, I invest more time into finding ores than I do actually building. Once I amass a satisfying amount of Coal, Iron, Diamond, etc. I either expand upon my house or move to a new location and start the process over again, then combine my hoards, and finally work on the house unless I get bored of that world before then.

you made me cum

stop... muh dick...

OwO

Attached: 2019-07-25_19.08.29.png (1920x1017, 2.21M)

Yes. Props for building diagonally.

Anyone else feel that survival just feels really barebones and boringly easy? You could just create a new world, bury yourself under dirt, and be completely safe from danger. I think they should give mobs the ability to destroy blocks at a slow-ish pace to make people actually build structures that can be defended instead of just having buildings that look nice but ultimately serve no purpose.

I like to build stuff that's practical and looks natural. Making my way to build an auto wheat/bonemeal farm right now.

Attached: 2019-07-26_02.16.02.png (1360x768, 1.54M)

>give mobs the ability to destroy blocks

Attached: into the trash.jpg (315x256, 11K)

I recently finished my first mob grinder and i feel like I've done everything i want to so far, but i don't want to stop playing.

>start up minecraft for the 56th time
>immediately get to work finding grass, coal and shelter
>after about an hour I'm at the point where mobs aren't a threat and I have enough food to sustain myself
>stop playing because I've done everything the game requires me to do and the rest is pointless
>just like real life

Attached: images.jpg (225x225, 10K)

Well I was thinking more on giving each block a certain amount of health (so dirt could have very little health while stone would be stronger and so on). Also have creepers do a specific amount of damage when they explode so that only weaker blocks can be damaged in one hit while stronger blocks can withstand the impact, albeit be strongly damaged.

I haven't play this game in years, last time I checked it was on Alpha. Did they add friendly NPCs, village etc?

Retard

come up with some kind of challenge

I hate that you can just build a bed in the first few minutes, and sleep shelterless out in the open during sunset before the monsters can even come out.
Yes

I collect all the animals, that way I have a reason to travel

>Yes
I guess I will reinstall it

I thought that if you slept out in the open or in the dark, you would be woken up by mobs around your bed. Or did they remove that?

Attached: 2019-07-25_19.00.01.png (1920x1017, 2.4M)

If you want more difficulty, play hardcore and download Epic Siege Mod and Blood Moon.
Use the config options to make the Siege mod more tolerable.

Chandeliers would both help with lighting the middle and add something to the bare ceiling.
Good post user

creeper? aw m-

>start playing again for first time in years
>got a bunch of mods installed
>doing well, got some cool machines
>decide I wanna try Thaumcraft for something different
>starts off making a library and some magic eye glass thing, cool
>gotta point the eye glass thingo at stuff in the game to extract a sample of mana from it or whatever to collect different elements
>cool I guess, feels like pokemon but without the good parts of pokemon
>got a bunch of mana and elements in some crafting table and no idea what to do with it
>the guides online just assume that you know what you're doing
>the more i look into it the more it's like most minecraft mods where shit's incredibly grindy and autistic for no real reason other than to timegate you
>close the game and stop playing it

just play that tower defence minecraft clone

Pixelmon > literally every other mod

this is why i just like playing on vanilla.

vanilla's had no new content or anything really added since the "wolves" fiasco in beta 1.4 though.

What Thaumcraft version? In Thaumcraft 6, scanning is less tiresome and if you make a sugar cane farm, getting the cool unlocks are easy.
