Would you recommend I play TEW2 if I enjoyed the first one?
I'm not interested in horror. I just want that RE4 feel

Yeah, 2 is a huge step up from the first.
No, 2 is a huge step down from the first.
It's good, but not as good as the first one.
Low IQ post.
>RE4 feel
Stealth gameplay totally kills this imo. The shooting range is nice, though.
>Stealth gameplay totally kills this imo
Aren't most of these sections optional?
Jesus no, it's fucking terrible. It takes everything that was unique and good about the first game and jettisons it in favor of shoehorning in all of gamings worst modern tropes.
The first one was by no means a 10/10 but it was a hell of a ride and an uncompromising vision. The new one is just a generic semi open world stealth game with a painfully derivative plot.
Better than the first one imo. The open world was actually fun to explore and scrounge for supplies. Monsters were cool and varied. Bosses were fun. Only downside is that the story was generic dogshit, but I don't really care about the story too much. Also stealth is garbage unless you invest heavily in it.
Dunno about the second game, but stealth is mandatory for like the opening two levels after you get the revolver. Ammo and matches are super limited, so there's no way to kill everything in open combat.
After that you have multiple guns to work with and ammo to go with them so you can start to fight back more aggressively, but you'll probably still need to stealth where you can to conserve ammo.
I'm a little sad they removed the burning system in 2. I kinda liked that enemies would get back up unless you burned or brained them.
>The first one was by no means a 10/10
With DLCs, it's an easy 8/10.
>With DLCs, it's an easy 8/10.
Was the DLC good?
Take the first game, dumb down the combat, dramatically reduce the enemy variety, increase the amount of foraging and crafting, give it an open world lite structure with shite Fallout NPC dialogue scenes, throw in an emotional cinematic inept attempt at game awards bait story and bam, you've got TEW2
I still liked it though
Not him but yes
Hey, at least you're honest.
I tried going back to TEW2 after playing REmake 2 and I couldn't stomach it any longer. Movement, gameplay, horror, nearly everything TEW2 does, RE2 does better.
If you've played REmake 2 then I recommend TEW2 only if you like the psychological horror angle the first game was going for since it has some neat visuals and tricks in store. Generally it's a lot smoother to play than the first game but the highs aren't as high and the lows aren't as low. Though gameplay wise RE2 is just superior in nearly every way imaginable.
I thought 2 was great compared to the original, it has the same survival horror elements with less of the annoying game design quirks.
Tell me that's in game and not an edit.
It's an edit
If you enjoyed the first one then no, it's a huge let down compared to the challenging stuff that made 1 great.
It appears I'm in the minority, but I found TEW2 to be a major improvement over the first game, excluding some of the level design
>smoother movement and take downs
>aiming isn't as wonky
>weapons feel a lot more satisfying to use
>well done crafting system
The first game was a lot more trial & error in comparison and I'm glad they got rid of some of the bullet-sponge enemies and gimmicky boss fights, a lot less one-hit kills as well.
Hated the first one 2nd one is alright
Dammit, alright.
I love it, and it's definitely better than the first on most aspects.
It doesn't have a RE feel though. But only the first third of TEW1 levels had a RE4 feel iirc. Then it became more like RE1 and then like TLoU.
