for some weird reason i cant play the max payne 2 that i pirated,anyone got a good link bros?

I prefer 2 but 1 is still great. I was just so drawn in on my first playthrough that I played it start to finish in one go. It was satisfying all the way through. No other game has done that for me.

How's the framerate on PS2? I tried looking on Youtube, but couldn't find footage of the actual PS2 version.

Avoid all PS2 ports of Max Payne at all cost. I legit hated MP1 the first time around because I started with the PS2 version where the crosshair and movement are mapped to the same fucking button presses for some reason,
load times are absolute garbage, no quick save (xbox version had this), and graphics are a bit poor on the PS2.

Get yourself the PC version, or at least the Xbox version. Avoid the PS2 version though. One of the worst ports ever made.

2 leaves a better first impression, but it gets worse the more you replay it. Once you realise how OP the shotgun is in 2, it ruins the entire game.

I should've said adaptive difficulty. The game improves the reaction times and accuracy of your enemies the better you do. When you do really well it turns their shit all the way up and you get rekt for just peeking.

Max Payne 2 is when companies want to create a franchise from a successful release, then they duck and tape a half-assed story to create something.
As for the gamplay and the graphics, it's an improvement. Max doesn't do anything much differently besides some cool looking animations (like double shotgun reloading), basically Remedy playing safe with the game.

But Max had a much stronger purpose in the first story and it really sounded like a troubled guy instead of a try-hard drunk.

I always let myself die so I can replay sections and pull off cool moves so I think I never actually triggered this shit
