Why aren't you playing a cute JRPG right now?
Why aren't you playing a cute JRPG right now?
Because I prefer story+gameplay over ''cute''
Because jRPG are babby gaems.
I play real men's games like cRPGs and Immersive Sims. Also Beat 'Em Ups, especially the ones with the cute girls
There are no jrpgs with good stories so best you're gonna get is cute+gameplay
I'd prefer it if every female party member in the jRPG didn't look like they were got damn 12.
Recommend me one then, on PC please
>jrpg
>gameplay
But that's the peak age of every women, it only goes downhill from there.
play the Oninaki demo
i have bravely second on the 3ds but... the sinking city...
also i tried octopath and i only liked 2/8s of it at the beginning
Are there any good JRPGs on xbox 360/xbox one?
but i am
Wish Fatlus would release this crap for PC
JRPGs are a terrible genre
I tried playing this one, lost my save twice then gave up.
For about a month it was completely fucking broken, it should be fixed now.
Help me pick one of the following or recommend me something else for PS2.
Valkyrie Profile 2
Xenosaga
Shadow Hearts
Persona 4
Wild Arms
Suikoden
Ar Tonelico
Already played the first 3 games (X1, X2 and SH1) but that was a long time ago so I'd to play them again to fully remember the plot and play the sequels.
>play the Oninaki demo
Is it good? It's fucking $50 on release
I just woke up and there is AP to burn in FGO
too busy playing zeruda no densetu
>kanji in a kid's game
What are some JRPGs with really cute girls? Usually there's only like 1 girl I like in the whole party which is not enough motivation...
>Valkyrie Profile 2
Good game all around, but you need to have played the first to understand most of what's going on.
>Xenosaga
Unless you like Takahashi at its worst, avoid it like the rest of the trilogy, only 3 is bearable, literal moviegames with XS2 being the worst of the bunch.
>Shadow Hearts
Nice setting but boring gameplay like the rest of the series, somewhat interesting cast though, ties to Koudelka on PS1.
SH2 is considered the better games by most people while 3 gets a lot of flak for plot and mood reasons, so keep that in mind.
>Persona 4
I don't like Persona, or most of SMT for that matter.
>Wild Arms
WA3 is okay, WA4 is kind of a mixed bag, WA5 has the best gameplay of the bunch and an actually pretty intriguing game system with the hex panel system, but it's still a WA game at the end of the day.
>Suikoden
Never liked Suikoden that much, 3 is fine, I guess?
>Ar Tonelico
Don't really like it, never did, can't give an impartial opinion.
But I do. Hilda is best girl.
I'm not willing to play all that slow start for the third time
Unlike America, Japanese education ensures that its students are actually able to read competently. There is a prescribed list of Kanji one is expected to know each year of school, but most kids will know far more than what is required because it just happens when you live in Japan.
Yesss i waited for this thread
boys i beat earthbound and chrono trigger and i'd like to play some more games from that era, cuz playing them with emulation speed up rocks
reccomend me something boys
>western games
>story
>gameplay
lol more like
>propaganda+microtransactions
Pokemon doesn't use kanji, only kana
Persona 4 is probably your best bet.
P4 is the best game in the list, but I'd suggest to play everything except VP2 and Suikoden 3.
Pls respond...
I grew out of them. Not because of the themes or characters or writing or whatever, but I used to like JRPGs more when I was a teenager and didn't care as much about wasting 40+ hours on games with mostly mediocre gameplay systems. Earlier this year I went through my backlog, removed like 90% of the JRPGs and it stopped looking like a colossal chore.
The only ones I play now are the occasional dungeon crawler and SRPG.
Done with Tales from the Borderlands and getting comfy with Dragon Quest Builders 1.
Neptunia series, Atelier, Tales, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, there's quite a lot.
Trying lulua right now. Can't really get into it because their eyes look so creepy and look plastered into the face. None of the previous atelier look that bad when it comes to character models
But I am OP. I just started Final Fantasy X for the first time. Maybe once I finish that I'll finally commit to playing Trails or something.
You didn't mention any platform so I'll just make a random list.
Almost every game released by Gust (Atelier series, Ar Tonelico, Blue Reflection)
Almost every game released by IF/CH (Neptunia Series, Fairy Fencer, Mary Skelter, etc.)
Disgaea series from NIS and some of their other games like Labyrinth of Refrain.
The Legend of Heroes Series
Etrian Oddysey
Valkyria Chronicles
Riviera The Promised Land
Yggdra Union
Fire Emblem
Xenoblade 2
Shining Resonance Refrain
Odin Sphere
The quality and subgenre of all these games varies greatly so it's up to you to pick what you like.
This one. If I'm not wrong, the gameplay is similar to Yggdra Unison. Still on stage 4-1, where there is alot of enemies on the free battle, making AP grinding easy.
DT2 has great gameplay for its genre, that said I find the art and music very unappealing so I can't be bothered to play it.
Thank you! I'm currently going through some Fire Emblems and older Final Fantasies but I'll start up a list.
Air Tonelico looks real good.
Because I've got a non-JRPG game to finish.
I'm playing Reccetear, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'm sure there's something cute, and funny, in either.
too busy killing ayy lmaos in EDF5
Make sure to get the retranslation patch.
Isn't it a bit early for these threads? We have to stick to the night or we get shitposted by normalfags.
It's 3:45pm in the UK and I am bored.
I want to have sex with Mir
Because I got to the third area of Dark Cloud and need some gemstones so I can efficiently build up weapons, but fishing is fucking annoying and I have shit luck trying to find them in the back floors.
Game got tedious quick. Might drop it soon.
I am playing a cute building sim
I don't know what to play.
Looking for an action jrpg with little to no waifu shit.
Tell me which cute JRPG I should play
Who doesn't?
The story setting is better than most JRPGs, actually interesting and quite dark. Gameplay wise it's a mixed bag, as an ARPG it's a bit too slow and delayed but it has an interesting risk/reward combat system with lots of options. I won't buy it full price but i'm definitely picking it up at a later point.
because it's quakecon this week
Of course you want to.
