I haven't played much yet and haven't even beaten the story yet but when I do play I have a grand old time. I've been trying to mostly play co-op, I invited some old friends over who don't play games much and we played through most of the game in friendly, I've since started another file on Mighty and cleared a few chapters there.
I hear that the defense stats don't work and I've sort of been allowing that to affect my party choices a bit, is that confirmed? I haven't done any testing.

I actually use Hulk in my party, I just prefer to favour characters with high vitality over characters with high defensive stats but it's not the only factor I use of course.

DD has a team damage buff special, but with Danny, Ghost Rider, and Hulk you hardly need it. Might as well have Spider-Man to bind up all the fuckers throwing axes and grenades at you.

I haven't seen any changes in taking damage so maybe the defense stats are broken?

Defense isn't useless, but Vitality is way more important for survivability.
