1. you have to watch it in french. It will grow on you, and the dub is shit.
2. first season is surprisingly solid. Second season is rough but you can attach to the characters a lot more. then theres the movies which are REALLY good actually. third season is... something

The first season is pretty good, there's a three-episode arc about a soccer game that kinda sucks though. English dub is hot trash, you're better off with the sub. If you're watching it on Netflix, you can swap to a different language if it bothers you that much.

Watch it in french with fansubs. Official subs localize a bunch of shit needlessly, and the blu-ray is mistimed (slowed down from 25 fps to 24fps to fit blu-ray spec when they could have used 50 fps instead). English dub is kinda crap due to poor direction.

S1 is great once the plot picks up. S2 is also pretty great for the most part. OVAs are absurd but pretty entertaining nonetheless with great animation. S3 is a huge bag of disappointment.

Go S1 -> Nox special -> S2 -> Ogrest special -> Dofus -> OVAs -> S3.

Dofus is the sister series to Wakfu. Shorter, lighter tone, episodic, and occasionally shows some fantastic character writing.

Season 1 was amazing and there is not a single negative thing I could say about it.

Season 2 was pretty good but the ending was a bit all over the place and Adamai almost ruined the season for me because of how annoying he was. They should have kept AZ insted, also his design is just bad, even worse is the rock form of his.

Season 3 is the worst one overall, some neat animation and moments but story was weak and ended up a giant cliff hanger.

Whoever thought up of the reasoning behind Nox's backstory and goal was a fucking genius. Besides the obvious insanity, Nox's aim to gain back his family was an admirable one.
And if he had more information, he would have pulled it off. In fact, its a bit of a plothole that he didnt go after the dofus eggs. He knew that dragons exist, its not that big of a stretch for him to know the Dofus of each dragon and the fact that they revive in them, meaning that the dofus would allow access to more power. They did that shit with Yugo in that movie.
Here's how Id imagine a plan would go.
>Harvest some races/large power sources (easy enough)
>Acquire Eliatrope dofuses (hard, but made easier with proper information)
>>Better if he can "convince" Yugo by saying he can reverse the destruction of their home planet and preemptively stop Qilby from destroying other planets
>fight Ogrest and acquire the primordial dofuse s (really hard, but having access to the eliatrope dofus plus superior time magics might pull it off)
>Find the Mechasm and get more Eliacubes, as necessary
>Create a portal to Inglorium
>Fight the Gods and obtain their Wakfu (if he reaches this point it would be easy, given that Ogrest was able to kick their ass with just the primordial dofus)
>Find the Font/Source of All Wakfu that is found at Incarnam
>With now limitless wakfu at your disposal, reverse time however many years you want
