I played my PS4 copy of UDG straight from the disc without any patches or updates and it had subtitles, so what you are saying seems a bit weird. Maybe you're just confused because it only has subtitles if you change the audio to jap, it doesn't if you're playing with the default settings

It's the slowest paced and worst shooter you'll ever have the misfortune of playing. I really don't feel like the story makes up for it either despite it being pretty good still.

So do I and I still beat it. If you're playing it on PC it was designed for vita controls so beating it with a mouse is a snap.
