Going from pho to aka is a bad decision if you're only trying to win
if you think you'll like playing aka then go for it. Can't really comment on how well he teaches "fundies" since all he does is dashblock

I'd say go for it just to try another perspective of playing the game.

I feel it's helped me out quite abit in at least matchup experience if not helped my execution get better by learning all sorts of different routes that are possible and experimenting with seeing if I can do some neat stuff like the subs with my main.

Yuzu doesn't have bad matchups. According to Kure, Yuzu's worst matchup is a Yuzu mirror.

Yuzu 4B is good, but it definitely doesn't work at full screen

Yuzu is better than Seth on paper, but it's not as skewed of a match up as Yuzu vs Akatsuki or Hyde

To my experiences, a good Yuzuriha can spot dodge orb and simply teleport to completely throw off its trajectory, leaving seth to deal with enormous normals that even he'll need to respect

It doesn't stop them. In fact, you take less damage if you just eat the EX Kuuga in the air if the Linne times the combo starter right.
I think people still do it though since it works for most projectiles, including normal kuugas.

It certainly doesn't help him but if you can reliably chase down a runaway Yuzu that can be a pretty useful skill

It feels like it is since no normal person would do this. If he even attempted at converting off of all the pokes I was doing when blindly charging in it wouldn't be so bad but he didn't even attempt that.

It's a viable tactic that is clearly working on you. Instead of blaming Icey why not work on a game plan to prevent him from doing that.

Just think of it as the Icey matchup instead of the Yuzu matchup

this is just false, byaks neutral is way weaker than carmines. carmine can actually control a lot of space and lock you down safely in pressure without needing to knock you down.

i will give you that byak is much easier to use by virtue by not killing himself while playing his game though

slow at 12f, forward momentum means its very likely to have some fucky shit happen on deep jump ins, no head invul

not to say its trash, its good at catching start of the round jump ins and assaults, and jump outs in pressure, but what i crave is covering my dome with some quick invul stuff that gets combos

Ah, I guess I should explain what a rekka is.

So it's basically a follow up attack where you use the same attack button while holding forward..

For example: 236A > 6A > 6A for the A rekka, 236 B > 6B > 6B for the B rekka.

You can also mix the 6B into the 236A starter if you want. If you do 6C I believe it also comes out as 6B. Cheers and see ya next time!

I had one when I was learning UNI early on, then I switched to a Hitbox and I can no longer use a stick.

It's not that big of an upgrade. I still drop combos just as much when I played pad, though it has helped with crouch blocking, DPs, and 22 motions.

Then again, I'm one of those insane people that use the DS4 analog stick

If it works, it works, right? Though I feel like doing DP motions on a stick at this point would be more uncomfortable than pad, but maybe that's just because I have to live and breathe DPs.
