I like creepypastas where everything is contained within the game itself. It doesn't acknowledge the player, it doesn't attack the player psychologically. It's just a disturbing experience that the player stumbles upon and maybe has influence upon. Every time I think of creepypastas I think of the no-sleep podcast and specifically that european female guest narrator. She sounded french but I was never 100% sure, but regardless her accent made me diamonds. Literally never been so attracted to someone's voice in my life, before or since.
I stopped listening to the podcast after it started the model of being sub-based for the full thing, but I remember her only being in the earlier seasons anyway. From what I remember, she narrated some pretty good ones too: The one about the bug house the guy and his friend have to stay in to renovate it after the family member who owned it commits suicide, the one about the guys in the office who mess with the air-con system after hours because they discover it induces hallucinations, and the one about the person who keeps getting pestered by a strange guy on the bus after work to visit a specific bar/pub.

A few weeks later, when most people were starting to forget about it, some website or band or somesuch was advertised in such a roundabout, word-of-mouth sorta way that it didn't sound suspicious at all. When you went to the website, this picture was all that popped up, getting a good scare out of a lot of people.

I've only seen two skeletons don't count as screamers, they're qt. One's a face with mouths instead of eyes and one's similar to the smiling pupper. I think there's no sound, but I'm not sure.

I was never really a visitor of old /x/, but the contrast between what I see posted/mentioned about it and what there is nowadays seems very stark. Cryptid discussions/stories and short down-to-earth accounts (even if completely fake are at least humble enough to try) are crack to me, nowadays everything seems to be literal conspiracy bullshit and New Age/religious cosmology.

It's a little better than your usual babby sonic pastas because the hack is subtle other than the text messages. It feels off while you're playing it, with some misplaced music, blank backgrounds and the game locking up on a black screen when you are forced to jump into a pit in the last stage - it never throws edgy gore at you other than the botched attempt to include OP's pic with the game (idiot author used notepad to edit the image file and corrupted it in process).
