I was thinking more of something where your soul or something like that gets transfered into an in world avatar and you're sent there to fix the world or something. NPCs will question stuff in how it is in your world and you'll have that little meta interactions.

I go for subs whenever applicable, but anime has steeped way too deep in your brain if you think it's better in this game. JP voices are so tropey and boring, and say what you will about Koji's memery but he inserted some real personality into the characters.
