>Is this series worth it?
I've only played 1 but its one of my favorite games ever, pure stealth masterpiece.
>Or it's just a cringy stealth game where you savescum every guard?
Nope, and the gameplay is surprisingly too fast for this to even be viable anyway.

It's okay. Overrated to hell though.

>dude just blink lmao
ugh

It's super fun.
Couldn't give less of a shit about the plot though.

It's underrated.

It's literally BioShock Infinite but with stealth.

Only ever played the first one as well. Definitely a decent stealth title though I remember getting like a dozen abilities and only ever using one.

My favorite series of the 2010. Every game is excellent.
>Or it's just a cringy stealth game where you savescum every guard?
I mean, you can do that too, if you want.

For some reason the first one’s controls felt so much more crisp than the second. Second gives you a lot more aggressive non lethal options though, but personally I liked the atmosphere of Dunwall way better than Karnaca.
DLC for the first one is arguably better than the main story.

>cringy
what

yeah it's very good, 1 has top tier atmosphere and 2 has some amazing levels
gameplay is good in both

I liked it a lot, although I'm not super into stealth games. The only criticism I've seen of the game on Yea Forums is that the enemy AI isn't God-tier (it's decent enough) and that blink trivializes the game. I can agree with the first point if you're a super purist, but I think the second point is silly. It makes the game incredibly fun imo

The second game even lets you play without super powers and it's designed for it. It's very fun.

>Overrated
you dont know what that word means

The second game kinda break the AI stupidity by giving them a pretty strong vertical sight, they can spot you from really high points fairly easily.

The levels and AI are designed to accomodate a no-powers playthrough though.

Main campaign is fun. Can't be arsed to deal with the second DLC campaign though, beat the first and have no interest in the second despite owning it.

I felt the same until I got a new GPU. 2 has pretty bad frametimes on older generation GPUs no matter the TFlops since the switch to ID's engine, but it feels fine now.

very low res textures, bare bones stealth mechanics, doesn't have a proper way to convey vital information (until you get cheat mode as a perk), the best tools are for assassination style yet you get punished with a bad ending is you use them, etc....

>the best tools are for assassination style yet you get punished with a bad ending is you use them
Maybe you might want to make your own opinion rather than copypasting whatever bullshit you see on the internet.
Killing your targets doesn't prevent you from getting a low chaos ending, and as long as you don't go rampaging on civilians you won't get high chaos ending.

The game have some nice little details, for instance the game have wanted posters of Corvo for assassinating the empress and escaping prison, if you get spotted that wanted poster changes to fit whatever else you did, however if you never get spotted, another wanted poster shows up about a mysterious killer instead.

the lethal tools are for when youve played through already and you ignore the story and just try to play quickly or do cool shit

>a cringy stealth game where you savescum every guard
It's not really a stealth game at all since you can just rip and tear through everything if you want to.
Based on the sentence that I quoted however you seem like an idiot child so instead of playing dishonored you should get off my board first and foremost.

>the best tools are for assassination style yet you get punished with a bad ending is you use them
Lying shithead.

If you liked D2 then you'll like DOTO
Unless you're an easily triggered /pol/tard.

DOTO is way too short to be considered an actual game, it should have been a DLC.

>Game has fun, deadly powers fit for great combat
>It punishes you for making use of them
The entire franchise in a nutshell.

the non sale price seems very high too. i was about to ask if it was an expansion or a quick 2-3 hr dlc.

Its nice. I beat it in 8-10 hours. It's basically just more of Dishonored 2.

Yes very funny meme that you posted there again.
Remind me what the punishment is again by the way.

Just checked my playtime. I beat it in 12 hours.

But I also sneak and look at every corner I can.

I'm sure you can just blind rush it in less.

fucking love this vid

What should I do with a drunken sailor, Yea Forums?

A bad ending which is basically
>Your friends are dead.
>Your family's dead.
>Your fucking pets are being skinned alive.
>Your mom's a fucking whore.
>You suck at life.
>The whole world hates you.
>You're going to hell.
>Live with it.

>Game over.

Outsider had way too high of a pricetag for what it delivered. If it were the same price as Daud's I'd say it was an okay piece of DLC, but for double the price but 2/3rds the content puts it into the bad territory for me. Not to mention how poorly the outsider was handled.

>you get punished with a bad ending
I never ever understood this meme. How exactly are you punished? In what ways does different ending qualifies as a punishment?

i would not pay full price for that, but for 8 dollars i think thats fair. ill probably buy it before the sale ends thanks.

Oh so it'd be better if you got a happy ending after going through the game viciously murdering every single person you come across?
Does the concept of multiple endings really bother you this much to consider its addition a punishment? High chaos is no punishment, just another way to play, levels change, story changes, all because of the way you play.
Reactive game design that should be praised but here you are instead, complaining about it.
Videogame audiences are dumb enough for this opinion to be a common one in Dishonored threads and it's actually kind of sad.

I just don't like getting bad endings...

Well good for you it's really fucking hard to accidentally get the "bad ending". Why are you here perpetuating retarded notions?

It's just a video gamer calma down

Rude...

1>1's DLC>DotO>shit>2

You're just a videogamer

Literally one of the main plot point of the game is that the whole region is filled with rats, of course if you are feeding them you end up making the whole place riddled with diseases.
