But there were parts where I was moving around constantly and 20 minutes later finding out I missed presenting 1 clue out of 20 I had to a person just to progress. Dont get me started on turning the fucking vase as that took 70 attempts as well, but that might be because I was on pc.

Newfag here, havent played any Ace Attorney game yet but i recently bought marvel vs capcom 3 on my PS4 and Phoenix Wright is very fun to use, hes quickly become my favourite in the game to use. So im now insterested in starting this series, is the remastered trilogy a good starting point or should i play the nintendo DS originals instead?

The only difference between the remastered trilogy and the DS one is that the art in the remastered trilogy sucks. I'd honestly just emulate the DS ones if I were you, but that's your choice. Also, the Miles Edgeworth games are very good, especially the second one. But you should only play those once you've finished the first trilogy.

Play the DS originals if available, simply because I personally think the art there looks better than the updated visuals. But that's just the nostalgiafag in me. There's nothing too wrong with the remasters as they're basically the same game with, technically, even better graphics, not to mention they're openly available on Switch and PS4.

It doesnt look that bad, but when you're playing it on tv, the bad details stick out sometimes. What i would have liked from the new trilogy port is an option for original sprites, and an option for orchestra soundtrack. I think that definitely would have been worth the price.
