They made the hud look like utter dogshit

Because it was soulless and completely missed the aesthetic decisions that the original team made.

examples?

youtube.com/watch?v=vGPEipZOBOU
Frankly it's just un fucking believable how bad they fucked up. Everybody should take a page out of 343i's notes on Halo 2 Anniversary cuz that is I'd wager to say the best remaster of a game ever.

Its the same game with no new content. Whats there to discuss?

Where did the bloom go?

In the fucking trash where bloom belongs right next to CA.

Bloom and fog = gone
all semblance of using colour and contrast as a storytelling piece = gone
uniqueness in set design to make the world feel big = gone

Aside from Wander's fat ugly face, everything in the Remake looks good
Honestly as much as I like SotC it's just not a very interesting game to talk about, especially with no new colossi

It came out more than a year ago

Attached: ferns.jpg (1822x504, 116K)

Attached: Argu.jpg (3792x2432, 1.02M)

Because it's a movie

I can post more if anyone wants.

Attached: Sdap3lq.jpg (1574x1092, 362K)

SotC is something that could only work as a game.

because like the first game, it's a fun 8 hour romp that leaves you nothing to go back to and nothing to talk about.

Yea Forums is autistic about it. It's a good remake. They fucked up Wander's face and some of the areas look a little more bland without bloom and fog, but for the most part it's better than the original.

so the game lacks some filters or what?

it made us realize how shit the game actually was in the first place

Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it looks like shit like the colossus in .

its just un believable. of course this shit is cherry picked but you can find maybe 1-2 shots where the remastered actually aesthetically looks better, every aspect of the games aesthetics was ruined.

It reminded me of why it's one of my all time favourites

Souless

>~7h long game with no new content
What the fuck is there to talk about?

I wish they used the fucking beta Colossi already, you give the game a high profile remaster and there should be at least some restored cut content, even as bonus challenges outside of the main story or something, i want to fight the giant monkey and the spider.

Well you wernt kidding. Remake looks like shit.

Those two seem liked nightmare fuel

Those are the end credits, they removed the comfy filters there.

Attached: ok.jpg (1024x661, 132K)

>he actually likes the shitty bloom
nani?

It's not cherry picked, I did comparisons for every boss in the game and most of them look worse than they did on PS2.

Attached: L92yGkJ.png (1592x516, 887K)

It SOUNDS like shit too.

Sound mixing in general is just off, like the music and voices are too quiet so there's less impact and the entire game seems to be missing the echo of the original which was also present in Ueda's other games. The remake just sounds sterile.

Jesus christ we get it it's a fucking mistake and the creative directors all suck ass.

>Spider's weak spots were on its legs, and after Wander had hit all six of them, it would have "destroyed its posture" and caused it to fall. The player would then run up to where Spider fell down and be able to jump into its open mouth and stab its major sigil(s). This probably had to be repeated at least once.
Boy i sure do want to jump into the mouth of this thing!

Ueda's use of bloom is part of the atmosphere in his games, without it you're missing out. Ico's remaster suffers from this lack of bloom too.

Like take these shafts of light as another example. They dance in PS2 ver, another place you see them is at that big waterfall canyon. Animated beams of light, really magical.

In the remake you just have basic plain hand placed volumetric lights, it looks really generic.

waiting for the PS5 version

you guys are fucking delusional

well then start cherry picking just the parts where the ps4 version looks better so soiboys can go back and say they have an "exclusive" to play

Nyart but clearly not because there's idiots itt that are trying to defend it or say it's ok.

nothin personal bluepoint

Attached: volumetric fog lol.jpg (2465x1081, 404K)

It is okay. I’ve played it on every platform. Yeah, not everything is perfect, but it was fun to experience it again. I still have the PS2 version if I ever wanna go back.

Most annoying colossus to fight

I feel that although that is true, this is not a simple case of soulless remake. I agree that a lot got lost, but I feel there were also something new. The sheer beauty of the graphics adds it whole own element and makes it something new in stead. Simply riding along watching the stone mountains and the detail, finding a spot to look out over the horizon and ocean. Walking by foot in the dense forest and inspecting every delicious ray of sunshine. Now there actually was something to do all over the map and playing with filters I have taken so many screenshots. The trend of including a photomode is an often overlooked and phenomenal thing in recent times.

That's gonna be a based and redpilled from me.

You are just a dumb consolefag, the game doesn't even look that good and the animations Wander displays are so awful. How do you manage to make worse animations than a PS2 game?

You can treat it as a photomode simulator using shitty filters but you won't be producing anything special that you couldn't do in -insert any AAA game here-. Since it's a barren landscape it doesn't even look as good as corridor games.

this is unforgivable

Because the only thing it fixed was the framerate.

They butchered the art style and spat in the face of the dev by trying to tie in the other games when he has stated many, many times that the games are in NO way related and never will be.

I just wish they added some of the scrapped colossi and didn't say anything about it so that people discovered them on release. Imagine how cool that would've been

Attached: Spider at bridge_1.jpg (640x480, 50K)

the original had better colors but the HUGE inflating stamina circle is dogshit, and the weapon icon is insultingly bad HUD design.
>Ueda had apparently wanted Shadow of the Colossus to not feature any kind of HUD display at all, like Another World, only his higher-ups literally told him that having no HUD would result in the game being “looked-down upon” as “unsophisticated” by critics and players. What kind of fucked-up world do we live in, where (#1) people who have worked at a company for 30 years, being promoted only because they’re not doing anything worthy of being promoted (and laws of societal niceness dictate that we not tell a man implicitly that he’s “not making anything better”) are trusted over people with genuine creativity (#2) someone with a university degree can possibly think that a little icon showing a sword is absolutely necessary in a videogame where the main character stands in the center of the screen and one can clearly see, at all times, that he is holding a sword? It’s like face portraits by dialogue boxes in RPGs: these days, when the characters are so big and expressive, having a face portrait by the dialogue box is freaky and depressing.
being able to customize the HUD, turn off the hints, start on hard, etc, and all at 60fps makes the remake the superior game.

why does this manchild have to throw his autistic tantrum in every sotc thread, christ

you already have complete autists in this thread shitposting about the game with 0 changes, imagine if they had added anything.

No facial animations outside of the cut scenes even though this was never a problem in the original and the PS3 collection.

me on the right

shows how lazy they were

Attached: no self shadowing.png (1904x464, 459K)

Why didn't they added cut colosses in the remake? In the original game they cut them because of time restriction, so why the fuck not to take opportunity and include all those cool unused colosses like money in the fucking remake?

it's not buggier you just have amassed a bunch of clips of bugs because literally every player can save a video clip and upload it to youtube. prove me wrong. or feel free to ignore this fact and post the same shit for 100 more threads you fucking cancer

there's Praey for the Gods and Titan Souls. haven't played either, doubt they're great, but go try 'em.

>TheChadStride.webm

Are you the same guys that said the Spyro Remake was fine??

Shouldnt you be playing spyro?? Didnt you see the awesome new textures? Textures and lighting are literally the easiest to do (compared to coding, modeling, animating, ect) and usually are the final thing added after the models and levels are made.

What im trying to say is they didnt care and wanted to save money. Youre defending people who dont care. Thats fine but dont get mad at others for giving a shit.

Attached: 1560699912144.jpg (434x532, 19K)

Attached: immersion.webm (574x300, 2.91M)

the video proves your two clips are cherrypicked, yeah.

>prove me wrong
burden of proof is on the one making the claim, he provided proof for his claims, now you're claiming they're cherry picked and not representative which you've failed to prove, it's on you to prove him wrong but supporting your points, it's not his job to prove himself wrong, retard.

The original game is tightly paced around 16 fights. They weren't added in because they couldn't make them work, make them fun, or tie them well to the games flow. Why add them when they were mistakes? I think the remake was a real mess but screwing up more things by injecting in user's fantasies about how a game should be rather than appreciating what a celebrated, timeless game it is gets dangerously close to Tom Hulett territory.

If anything they should have done a significant in-game museum sort of like how Insomniac used to do for the Ratchet games. I'd rather see all the work done in the past preserved in a glorious tribute, paying respects to the creators, the creators vision and the work the fans put in to uncover the details in it.

Fuck retards who want muh cut colossi.

I dont think you know what cherry picked means.

Are these the low quality bosses and theres actually higher def ones that are unlockable that have better animations and textures??? If not then its not cherry picking, hes just showing what the bosses loook like.

Was it updated or something??

Oh? How?

Attached: balance.webm (1302x352, 2.95M)

give me a timecode where it specifically points out that those webms are cherry picked and the video itself isn't guilty of cherrypicking an opposite case with definitive evidence.

be objective if you can, I know that's hard for you kind. from a debate point of view he's pretty soundly destroying you right now but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt if you want to argue in good faith.

They werent all excluded because they "werent fun" or whatever

They were excluded because they were literally already past the limit for what they could do with a 2003 CD-ROM

>right
>soaring on the back of a bird, high over the water
>left
>standing on a black carpet in the fucking void

yikes

>hey weren't added in because they couldn't make them work, make them fun,

It was another pointless remake that was worse than the original.

If you want to play SotC again the PS3 version was infinitely superior.

SotC is a very forward thinking game in terms of streaming data and PS2 memory management., it would have been no problem.

weird flex but sure, way to go buddy.

find me the correct one

They could have just made the cut colossi optional

Thanks, keep in mind that no cut colossi would be a good addition to the main game.

pmd it to you

Nice opinion.

I think they would be good added back in. Never understood why customers demand less for more....

He wasn't claiming it was cherrypicked that's your baggage, he merely claimed it's more buggy and then start providing ample examples of bugs to prove his point. I as an observer think he as adequately done so. You claimed these are all cherrypicked despite him providing numerous examples to the contrary. You haven't proved this, and that burden is on you to prove this before you can move forward.

If you're seriously giving up now this is definitely a big L for you side.

The original is better

youtube.com/watch?v=QVknagdVex0

Imagine wanting excess for the sake of it, ruining the pacing, composition and point of the game.

wanders face is a good one
just generally changing colors, changing the material of things, changing effects

Like in the original there is no sun or moon and the sky looks ethereal
but in the remake there is a soon and moon

You're probably not going to get through to him bro. His eyes bleed whenever he sees me posting about the game.

Because it's nothing to write home about, at all. It's a good way to introduce a new generation to a wonderful game, but for anybody tech savvy they should just emulate the PAL PS2 version.

>wanting the content made is wanting excess

So would you hate all versions that had 12 bosses if Ueda originally only planned for 10?? I find it really weird when people are arguing for less content when its never been used before. Imagine saying you dont want the sequel to your favorite game because it would feel like "excess".

Why not share it and let the people who want it, have it?

Attached: 1557380272984.gif (220x212, 2.57M)

no facial animations in the remake?
disgrace

it wasnt a storage space issue
it was a development time issue and also the designs weren't working

overrated series hipster garbage series

Strange reaction image for such a post

Attached: what do you mean excess this is a clear improvement.jpg (786x355, 62K)

Why are you gay?

Attached: why.jpg (472x478, 22K)

No, it's clear they had storage space issues. They couldn't fit the game on a CD, so they had to make it a DVD, something the PS2 was built to support mind you. So many capacity issues. And it didn't even take up the whole DVD! But it was still too much. Adding even one more colossi would have put the game well beyond 10GB, making it too big for a dual layer DVD.

it wouldn't be excess, or for the sake of it
The cut colossi look really cool

think of it this way: if I wanted to prove that you are a less compassionate person than Goebbels and all I did was post pictures of you ignoring homeless people and jerking off to furry porn, that doesn't prove anything about the initial claim of who is less compassionate. do you understand so far? do I need to slow down?

the running stuff is overall worse too, it's fucked

Attached: EzFXYEU.png (467x339, 281K)

Goes against the intended 16 that work tremendously in the final game, would be a completely different experience with more. Since they were never completed I'd rather see them as an exhibit in an in-game document of sorts.

Sometimes you can have both quality and quantity

It was probably that too.
They probably could have fit the rest of the bosses in but they didnt have time to see what they could compress or occlude or get away with.

All of the concepts, locations and even some of the models were all done. IIRC one or two of them are even still on disc but with no coding or animations. I know the locations still are. So yeah it was probably both. They ran out of time to make more room.

both the remake and the original were MASSIVELY overrated games and basically kickstarted the shitty indie trend of "muh mystic ancient ruins with glowing rocks and monsters"

This isn't one of those times. If you want more shit to do go play a Bethesda game so you can nod off and drone on endlessly in a generic fantasy world. Or play an MMO.

> IIRC one or two of them are even still on disc but with no coding or animations
no they are not

> I know the locations still are
1 unused location is in the game

It definitely wasn't a space issue

That's already a very poor analogy.

Here's a better one, he's trying to prove Goebbels isn't compassionate and just start posting pictures from the holocaust and quotes from Goebbels about the Jews and then you claimed those are all cherry picked. When pressed to prove those examples were cherry picked you declined to do so. That's where we are right now.

Yeah i agree, the textures and this "remake" is awful. Imagine if fucking episode 6 had a scene with original casting and scripting that was "cut because the reel was full" and had luke and han fight it out one more time against the emperor who surprise survived or something?

Its the original script and would be a hell of a lot better than fucking texture and lighting changes like a star-wars remake

Attached: 1555457487508.jpg (960x960, 43K)

>1 unused location is in the game
There's quite a few unfinished details left in the game or versions of the game such as demos. It's probably the most fascinating example of cut content in existence. HL2 fags eat your heart out.

Pretty much all there is to discuss had been discussed years ago since there's nothing new

what the fuck? isn't that literally just underneath wildspire wastes?

youtube.com/watch?v=5Do_0aWpYeo

This video shows a list of all the cut bosses from Beta screenshots and includes gameplay from cut boss locations in the preview version of the game.

Its quite amazing they finished all this work for these bosses but still had no time to finish developing the bosses. Then went on to strip everything about them from the game including models and locations almost like theyre trying to save space

Fumito Ueda, the creator of Shadow of the Colossus, originally had 48 colossi in mind when planning the game. Realizing that putting in that many colossi was not possible, he cut the number down to 24 - half the original number.

it was a space issue

There's only 1 proper one "the damn" which has models and textures and a formed area etc

every other place is just random nothing geometry with a repeating texture, obviously never meant to be an area or play space of any kind

I think there is one other place that kinda looks like it was meant to be a place you would go

>obviously never meant to be an area or play space of any kind
they were all assets made that were not finished, much like the dam. Work on them probably ended by the time the game cut down on the number of colossi.

>no they are not
>video shows cut bosses with working animations/scripts

oof

He has said many times in interviews the designs were working well for gameplay and they ran out of time

The game is not close to filling a single layer dvd
The entirety of a colossi (its model, textures, animations, scripts, etc) is well under 24mb as that is the PS2's ram, and the colossi has to be loaded in at the same time as the surrounding area, the playable character, the horse and various other stuff.

I dont think you know much about game dev, and you are just wrong on this one

>almost like theyre trying to save space
that data would be very small. It wasn't a space issue, it was a time and focus issue.

those videos arent from any retail release, demo, or leaked beta you tard
they are actually from around the time of release, and released by the studio on dvd video that came with a special edition

Makes me feel sick when you got something artsy shit like this and then some faggots from another continent try to one-up it

Because of this autistic as fuck shitposter

no they are literally nothing
just flat planes with bits that jump at 90 degree angles

This shit triggered me the most. Credits were fucking awful in remake, pages and pages of fucking Snoy staff.

>What is approx 700MB vs. approx 4.3GB

He might be autisc, but I wish there were more of him. Most remakes do suck for one reason or another, but sheep make up for most of the fanbase. Look at Pokémon, the fanbase used to be shat on for being complacent and now it's being shat on for "waking up". We gamers are screwed either way.

Looks like a pretty carefully considered landscape.

I'm not autistic I'm informative :)

* designs weren't working

One thing that we can all agree on is that western artists need to go

>wasting money paying expensive employees to design, model, code, and animate 4 additional colossi that you wont use for vague reasons

I dont think you know much about game development and you've already been proven wrong. If it could have been put in it would have. The game uncompressed is already ~4gb so i have no idea what youre typing about.

Attached: 21312333213123455.png (500x466, 361K)

Very, keep it up. Your critique will go on well beyond the relevance of the bluepointmake.

>we could’ve have 48 colossi
It’s not fucking fair bros

>ran out of time
IIRC many of the colossi were cut for redundancy. He opted for quality over quantity.

Not seeing anyone complaining about Dormin's Sword or whatever it's called, retard

The right looks better, draw distance or not, but do you have any screenshots of other areas like where you fight that one flying monster?

Did anyone ever figure out what the fuck the ding-a-lings and gold was for?

They ran out of memory, as in the game was fucking up while playing it.

Attached: 1525471056629.jpg (486x708, 58K)

Do you have a source for that claim?

Thats also why you dont want to necessarily fill a disc.

I replayed this last week and I thought to myself "This game is beautiful, why the fuck did Yea Forums shit on it so hard?". Well this thread reminded me, just a bunch of autistic nitpicking losers reeeing about the artist's vision while simultaneously pirating games cause to them, people who support companies (the artists) are cuckolds.

SotC has very sophisticated memory management, the game is possibly the most optimized for the PS2 game in existence, memory was no longer considered an issue. Time was, planning made it so they were no longer necessary and would have added nothing to the game, only detracted from it.

was Terry Davis their fucking head programmer??

No, they had competent Japanese developers and not a faggot who masturbates on camera, then dies.

Not that guy but I'm going to step in here and set on shit straight, if you have a compressed archive of a .iso that disc could have the same data repeated over and over to create redundancy on the disc which would help when data off the disc, common things like ground textures you'll find just about everywhere which is important in an open world game like this especially when you didn't have a harddrive to install all this shit to and you had to read it off the disc without the aid of a loading screen. Reading off a disc is fairly slow compared to a harddrive, which means that redundancy was necessary because if you're loading something towards the middle of the disc and that texture file you need to load was only located at the outer edge of the disc you'd have to move that laser all the way over there and then all the way back, or you could create another copy of that data and put it towards the middle and again towards the center of the disc.

Then when you compress the game the compression algorithm identifies this and instead of just compressing it as is with all that redundancy it leaves itself a little note like this block of data here also needs to be recopied here, here, here and here when extracting. So you could have 700mb .rar which you then extract out is 4.3GB.

Attached: CDROM_RD.gif (340x310, 5K)

Things from games get scrapped all the time because developers dont thinks its good enough, so that's not an argument. Entire games have been scraped and restarted like resident evil and half life 2.
Ueda himself said why they weren't in the game. Adding another colossi would be very possible space wise

The sotc beta that is 99.9% the same as the final game only takes up 2.8gb. Retails game often have padded data sizes to make them more annoying to pirate

youtube.com/watch?v=T44LB4bn570

The dam mentioned earlier.

are you a CIA nigger?

The game makes heavy use of data redundancy and stores certain data on the shortest sectors of the disc. It's absurd how optimized SotC is, it had to be, it was pushing techniques that wouldn't be popular until the following generation of consoles in a system from 1999.

Yeah thats why 48 colossi were scrapped. The game is 4.21gb IIRC when I had it emulated. I have no idea where you got 2.8gb. If it was possible we would have ~24 colossi but it was a data storage issue

>I posted it earlier.
Where? Also remember just providing a link to a 3,000+ word interview and saying it's in there somewhere go find it lol without a direct quote doesn't count.

They got scrapped for time, udea himself said that.

I have the beta, i was big into the sotc secret and research group

it seems padding is also added to move data to the outer ring of the disk making load times faster
insomniac did it for Restiance fall of man, the devs also talked about doing it for ratchet and clank

dope, whats his name?

When was the last time Yea Forums talked about the game at all? I think there was a thread before yesterday where OP asked why do people call it game of the century. Which I don't think they do.

feels like it's been a while

okay this is one where the remake actually looks fine, and even looks better. Haven't been able to say that about the previous caps

>hello my baby, hello my honey

the ps4 couldn't even handle the left's transparency

What really surprises me about some of these comparisons is how some of them my instincts upon opening is "this side must be the ps4 version because it's got better graphics" but then I look closer and it's the ps2 version, and it just turns out that they were way better at conveying the whole scene coherently while the remake is a muddled mess of detail.

also 48? I know that might have been his original intension at the start of development
but only like an extra 8 or something were worked on a lot before being scrapped

Probably not, VU0 and VU1 were godly.

yep i know what you mean

the remaster objectively looks much better in pretty much every instance, but there are some parts where the original is just better (like the lake colossus)

Am I supposed to pretend like most of these side-by-sides don't look better in the remake?

Apart from the visual signature and composition of basically every scene in the game, the biggest slap in the face to me is the toning down of wander's corruption.

Attached: comp.jpg (2301x1031, 750K)

prove it

Attached: wander look back.webm (1604x314, 2.43M)

One of the most ambitious games of all time reduced to whatever the remake was. SotC did so much to elevate animation in video games, it's so sad to see it treated with this level of disregard.

google "shadow of the colossus ps2 gameplay" and then google "shadow of the colossus ps4 gameplay" and then spend like 2 minutes watching each video

little details like the vid you posted are unfortunate but you definitely spend very little time looking at wander's face

I was more pointing out the obvious difference of storage capacity. That is (was?) common knowledge.

They talked about it being shit for months before it came out. Then I bought it and played it and had fun just like I did with the previous two versions. Yea Forums is garbage.

I have it's soulless

Attached: 1513015525125.jpg (1000x517, 89K)

I completely forgot that a lot of sounds were so different, missing, or just downright "generic sounding."
Plus a lot of roars were removed.

That's a poor reason to remove parts from a game that came out 13 years prior. They could do it then, so why not now? The obvious answer is that it's a cash grab while the original was trying to actual create a good product.

This.

What's the point of a remake if you're going to add cut content?
Fuck realistic graphics.

if you're NOT going to add*

Fuck.

Attached: muh graphics.jpg (900x322, 69K)

remakes remake, not make

Because there wasn't a remake.

Is the game at least worth one playthrough?

When will people realize SotC is a middle of the road game and that it's just propped up by artfags? There's barely any gameplay. It's just a couple of bosses that are glorified puzzles and not a thing else.
>Damn, so big....... so deep..........
>I was the monster the whole time..........

Yes.

Yeah, play the PS2 US version.

the point is you weren't the monster

You're a dumbass if you think 'you were the monster the whole time!' is the point of the game.

I'd give that award to RE2 remake, but yeah you're pretty much on point.

That ethereal dreamlike lighting getting removed is a shame, it added so much to the experience. Lighting in modern games has become so lazy, just let the engine handle it and call it a day. Remake (not just sotc) devs really need to look hard at screenshots of the original and really LOOK at it and understand it. Sadly, I think they just see "bad" graphics and brush it aside as inferior and think anything the unreal engine can do is automatically a upgrade.

i mean the remake

of course
and play the ps2 version

...

you are to brainlet to see how good it is

What's good about it? I play games for gameplay, not pretend art shit.

no the PS2 version from 2005

sotc has very good gameplay, you are to brainlet to appreciate it

>I play games for gameplay,
No you don't

>Game time padded with horse segments
>Find giant thing
>Frame rate drops and controls are shit
>Climb on thing and stab shiny spot
Yeah, great. It's so deep, so it must be good. Kotaku and Reddit say it's a top 10 game so I must believe it.

It's fun with a totally unique 'combat' system, and good exploration. It's not long, so you have little reason not to play it and see why so many people like it.

What exploration?

Why are you gay?

Quit responding to the token contrarian.

Hell, even the more dedicated contrarians have a tough time defending this remake.

A brawl thread died for this.

You're the token artfaggot who only likes this "game" because other people think it's deep. If this shit came out in 2019 it would get panned across the board for having almost no content.

Attached: Wander's grief.jpg (788x600, 143K)

Fumito Ueda is not on Sony, and he is not dead. He is alive and working, and this remake was made by people not involved with the first game. giving nothing to the original creators. It is nothing but a travesty born by corporate suits to get easy money.

Attached: 138193365040.jpg (205x216, 17K)

muh "content"
you really are a brainlet, i bet you think quests, crafting and npcs would have made this a better game

Right doesn't necessarily scream "my gf was executed and now I'm going to sell my soul to the devil to bring her back from the dead" does it

Samefaggot.

Cause it literary the soul vs soulless meme come to life.

Do you think Ueda/Gen Design will ever make another game?
Or it will just be radio silence forever.
I mean this nigga took 10 years to make the last guardian. And this time he has no company/boss/deadlines to answer to.

Shut up you empty fucking husk. You know nothing about art.

but you are wrong
and all boards need ids to stop copers like you

Yeah, the right looks more like Smash Player at Tournament on day 2.

Let no one ever say again that directors are "idea guys", what the fuck is this shit, literary all soul gone.

Serious cope, it was amazing. Really well done, I loved the remake. Can't wait to play it on 4k 60fps on the PS5.

Those remakes and remasters lack artistic sense. In the ps2 your eyes don't wander on the screen, they knew what they wanted to portray, and what they wanted the viewer to put their focus. The PS4 remake lack artistic vision, it's all just a screen crancked up with stuff, with no perspective, that gives good wallpapers but doesn't really work as a visual medium. A hyper realistic painting is still not good if it conveys no message.

Attached: 541468173.jpg (556x720, 129K)

>This game's so deep.......
>Who cares if it has no content, it's deep.

I am not seeing the problem here. It's atmospheric, same foggy skies. Everything looks a lot more detailed, you're just crazy man

Are you stupid? It looks the same, except with infinitely more details and better graphics. In those pics, the atmosphere is the fucking same. Just lol

>mah content
>mah gameplay time
Just fuck you dude, im being serious. Go fuck yourself.

it has good gameplay and everything else and you are gay

>P-PLEASE
>IT'S DEEP. IT DOESN'T NEED GAMEPLAY OR CONTENT.
>CAN'T YOU SEE? HE KILLED THOSE GIANTS FOR HIS GF. IT'S FUCKING ART.

Ueda posted this on twitter and the gen design website
It sort of looks like wander grown up holding a grey haired mono
But it called also be something completely different, his horns sort of look like antlers and the clothes look different

Attached: 1518064871666.jpg (590x512, 159K)

Why the fuck did they change colossi eye?

The PS2 one just has worse textures and far less details, only the bridge scene looks different.

I don’t think he ever said that they were cut out due to storage limitations IIRC, in the old artbook i’m pretty sure the given reasons vary but it’s usually that the fights for each one just weren’t working out; be it due to technical issues, some just were not very fun to fight or were just too similar to another colossus to be worth putting in.
Of course, the real reason they were cut was probably due to budget/time constraints, choosing to cut out eight colossi - the meat and potatoes of SotC - while having nothing to replace them would be a pretty drastic decision otherwise.

so it can look like cool naruto eyes
i hate these fags that do remakes and think they are better than the original creator and so change things

they rotate now too xD

Which is the PS2 version?

You can't see because you are a brainlet, completely illiterate on art.

Attached: 1564016557338.jpg (3792x2432, 1.24M)

Blind plebs blown the FUCK out!

You think it's an art decision on the right and not a result of the graphical limitations of the PS2 era? Jesus lol

Based.

The remake is 100% better in every way. No reason to play the old version anymore.

Attached: 1537250452044.jpg (960x544, 61K)

I always post this one trying to explain how much they fucked up the finale.
>final battle is in a bad thunderstorm
>after you defeat the boss the skies clear and you get a glimpse of that majestic bloom for the last time
>the remake just has this fucking plain looking scene without bloom
>it's still fucking cloudy
they're literally fucking hacks.

It objectively was.

Attached: contrast.jpg (2192x491, 163K)

>70 posters
Lmao its just one autist samefagging in the entire thread

yeah, you

you are gay

Seething

dilate, tranny

have gay sex

>he's not the 71st poster
retard

>he says as the poster count remains at 70

they could've made it like the original but with a "pulsating" effect

So they removed some gay music, so fucking what, not like anyone cares. The core songs and theme are there, that's all that matters.

They picked something made by an artist, and shoved in the hands of "tech guys", people obsessed with realism more than beauty and meaning. I doubt they were even able to understand the visual message in some scenes, they clearly didn't, given the final result.

Attached: 1492953637207.jpg (428x359, 43K)

>it's soulful because it has garbage graphics with zero texture or definition
>it's soulful because there's a metric shitton of bloom

where is this located on the map?

the core songs are worse

What do you mean? The main theme, the songs that play during the Colossus battles, are all great.

worse than ps2 version

god im starting to regret my purchase. i have a ps3 copy but i still bought the remake for the controller and framerate. still think the game looks good, but these comparisons, man. im gonna play the ps3 one tomorrow to see if i get a better experience

I played the PS2 one ages ago, they sounded the same to me lol, especially the opening theme, I'm certain it's the same
did they remake the Colossus battle songs too? Why would they waste money on that when the old songs exist

If you think shoddy blurry textures caused directly by PS2 graphical limitations = soulful artistic decision, then lol at you
just play the remaster, it's great, preserves the moody grim gray atmosphere of the original.

They redid everything and it all sounds off. I don't know why either.

>the moody grim gray atmosphere of the original.
the original didn't have this, retard

good point. these are just screenshots after all. they arent a real representation of the actual game. how they play and look in motion is what matters. im still gonna play it but ill remember that fact

theres literally an image in this thread that shows the original is more colorful

Uh... what's the problem here, exactly?

They are artistic decisions user, you can know because they have objective. Calling the original developers dumb won't make your remake better.

In this stage, for example, the way the light is only reflecting on the higher parts of the buildings, and the reason to why the floor have no grass, why most of the detail is on upper levels is the same: They want you to look up, to where the colossu can be defeated, to the higher levels you need to go to reach his head. This is obviously on purpose, it is meaningful imagery, something that is not presented on the remake. They were so obsessed with texture detail, that they gave no fucks to visual message. This cold be forgiven in any game, but not on Shadow of the Colossus: Visual messaging is as much an important part of this game as any other element.

Once again, your plebeian lack of knowledge on art is showing.

Attached: 1564028071737.jpg (3794x820, 474K)

>remake game with same shitty textures to preserve the aesthetic of dark almost pitch black colossi
>everyone decries them for being lazy with the remake and not bothering to update the graphics
there's no winning lol

The artist worked within his medium (PS2) to produce a unique visual style that many people love. How much is art direction and limitations of the PS2 is irrelevant. If a starving artist paints a masterpiece with only the meager paints and tools he can afford that doesn't invalidate what was created.

It's very easy to interpret things from a simplistic perspective of "OLD GOOD NEW BAD"

Because it doesn't offer anything but pretty graphics for zoom zoom to look at, which look kind of shitty anyways.
I mean even pretty conservative remakes like OoT3D and Crash N. Sane Trilogy offer SOMETHING new to the gameplay.
I typically like Bluepoint's remastering work, but they should stick to that.

Good point but it's also likely they didn't have the tech to make decent grass in the shadows so they left it barren. I see green patches there that should have been grass if the engine allowed it

I guess something like that can be easily lost to the layman, which is why it's extremely easy for people to be wowed at first sight by something just on the basis of it ''having details'',
but it's no lie that art and asset production for games in recent years has been dramatically systemized, especially from western developers. It's a deep rabbit hole of sameyness and it's being
actively promoted throughout the industry, and taught to thousands naive randos who think having an Artstation portfolio and using buzzwords to explain their generic creations makes you into a quality artist.

And yes, ''just fucking rocks'' are also a fraction of that problem. These types of typical modern games mostly use very similar visual solutions, techniques, generic ''tried'' design and rely solely on
following a few tutorials to get the job done, they can operate only at the most basic techie level and lack an eye and understanding for visual consistency,
deliberate aesthetic choices, composition, animation, tone etc.

This SotC remake is a perfect case study for all that, especially when comparing it to the original ( or TLG for that matter).
People easily jump on the ''it's just the hardware'' excuse for things that are conscious deliberate changes done all across the board, and deliberate changes can be objectively observed and compared.
Do you think people would remember the original SotC nearly as much if it didn't stand out so much visually in the first place?
If it looked like a generic PS2 game, people simply wouldn't know any better, but we all know it didn't look like that, did it now?
It deserved it's status as a unique title and vision, and to simply brush all the effort put into it as ''technical limitation'' 10 years later just shows how ill-informed and easily swayed the gaming community is, so do not be surprised why games are not taken seriously as an art form. This remake will age extremely poorly with its visual aesthetic.

If you took their PS3 remaster, fixed its handful of issues, and gave it a bump up to 60fps nobody would be complaining.

SOTC had actual grass, used some weird technique too.

>I see green patches there that should have been grass if the engine allowed it
Yes, but if there were to be grass there, it wouldn't be extra bright to the point of stealing the visual focus of the upper levels. The people on charge of the remake didn't think on this stuff.

This game is the equivalent of the "mario unreal engine demos" to Fumito Ueda games.

>ton of bloom
>blurry textures due to old tech
>hoho it's art
only thing unique about this game was the desolate environment, the giant colossi being the only enemies and having to defeat them by figuring out their weakness.

>Look at how the light shines in this old version! It's clearly better than the light in the new version! The new light doesn't emphasize the right qualities of the wall!

RETARD ALERT! RETARD ALERT!
SHIT TIER GAME COMING THROUGH
OVER-RATED TRASH HIPSTER TIER GAME

It was shit then and it's shit now. Great game, with one major flaw - a broken camera. Fuck this game.

Attached: raw.png (492x342, 121K)

It's the Psycho remake of videogames.

>responds to a serious post by pretending to be retarded
user, keep doing that and I will believe you.

Is this just one example or are there other parts where the visual design that was meant to help gameplay suffers? This is interesting

There's nothing wrong with chromatic aberration or bloom when it's not cranked to retarded levels

It's not the original therefore it's bad, same as all remakes and remasters.

kek

Attached: Unreal Mario.jpg (1239x339, 193K)

I don't know man, while the remake looks pretty it just doesn't feel right to me. Its hard to put into words.

>the remake actually looks fine, and even looks better.
The bridge starts crumbling before the colossus even hits it and the colossus' club doesn't even come anywhere close to it.

No you don't get it, the "people" who made the abomination of a 2018 remake need to be murdered and dissolved in acid for their sins and their deaths broadcast to the world as a warning to everyone who would dare defile classics.

>halo
shut the fuck up

Not enough bloom, that's it
they did get sloppy at parts, there's some valid points ITT.

Why can't you peopel simply accept the indisputable fact that remakes and remasters do nothing but completely destroy and rape the original devs' grand visions and hard work struggling with inferior tech that forced them to make creative magical worlds and characters because modern devs are cold mechanical assholes who only care about shekels and have no artistic sense or care?

Good videogame remakes usually have the goal of looking "like how you remember it looking". Perfect examples of that are OoT3D (barring the overly bright Ganon fight) and stuff like Wild Guns Reloaded and Ninja Warriors Once Again. Even RE2, despite being an entirely different game at its core, still captures the feeling of how the Raccoon Police Department felt back when I first played it.
That doesn't really feel like it was the goal for SotC.

Is that breath of the wild on the left? How the fuck does it look so good?

There are no valid points, the remakes are a disgrace to video gaming and anyone defending them should be executed along with Ito.

No, it's the next zelda game on the ps5

This. SOTC 2018 might as well be a different game because you look at it and there's not a single sense of the original anywhere.

It's a mixture of bad sound/music direction, bad animations, and sterile graphics.

why does no one ever talk about the last guardian when it's easily the game of the generation?

Nomad Colossus' videos are great, I'll never not be mad how they got in touch with the devs and the devs refused to answer anything and just said "hacking games is bad".

Everything about it is shit. The music is awful, the controls are worse, the physics are shit, the AI is buggy, hit detection is nonexistent, everything is garbage.

>Perfect examples of that are OoT3D
shit taste detected

because it's not

"Remasters" or calling them what they really are, ports, aren't inherently a bad thing. Think of it like a new Blu-ray transfer for a film, taking the original and presenting it a higher quality resolution and in the case of videogames framerate.
Of course sometimes you get the 2010 Predator Blu-ray, or maybe it's not as egregious and there's just some minor issues standing in the way of it being the definitive release. Not all restorations can be Criterion-tier of course because those pesky "time" and "money" things tend to get in the way, and the same holds even more true for videogames.
Ironically Bluepoint is one of the better remastering studios, their releases have a handful of hiccups but the pros tend to heavily outweigh the cons. I guess that skill doesn't necessarily transfer over to full on remakes.

>it was a space issue
Then why do the devs say that various other factors like the bosses being too powerful, beign unable to get a mechanic working right, requiring too large of an arena, and other things were the reasons they were cut?

People bitch about remasters because they don't actually want to replay these games. They want to relive their childhood when they played it 10-20 years ago. Any difference in the appearance ruins the nostalgia factor. It's fucking pathetic but it's a common theme on this board.

People wanted Trico to do exactly what they wanted and were mad when he didn't.

It was fine. Highlight of it for me was how good Malus looked.

There's absolutely no point to remakes and remasters. "Let the younger people experience it!" is horseshit, they can play the original.

The only problems with OoT3D's art direction are the final battle being way too bright and some censorship in the well and Shadow Temple. It otherwise stays incredibly faithful to Nakano's illustrations and the concept art.

Room temp IQ take

>Ironically Bluepoint is one of the better remastering studios
They're just as shitty as the rest of them. If you can't even port a fucking game properly what the fuck are you getting paid for?

Attached: bluepoint.png (687x189, 151K)

Some people have never tried to get a cat to do something. Yeah trying to get Trico to do stuff was a bit annoying, but you can't say they didn't accomplish their goal of making Trico feel like a real animal.

The art you're talking about was made after the 3D art. So the remake isn't faithful at all to OOT and it looks pretty damn shitty with all those bright colors. The cutscenes are all fucked up too.

Limitations often force an artistic direction. Silent Hill wouldn't have had all of that fog if they could render further.

MGSHD is one of their worst ports, most likely down to time constraints because Konami, and even then it only has a handful of graphical issues that ultimately don't impact most of the game. Off the top of my head the missing cockroaches in that one MGS2 cutscene, an out of place reference to MGS4 in a new texture, the razor in 2 not quite working right and this are really the only egregious things in it; ultimately minor shit compared to vastly improved framerate and menu load times in 3 and generally improved 2D assets across both games. And compare that to their work on Uncharted or God of War, which are virtually perfect.
I get that you have a hatefolder for Bluepoint all ready to go for SotC threads but chill out, I'm not going to defend the SotC remake.

>I'm not going to defend the SotC remake
Good.

omg imagine if the real remaster was as artistic and creative as this guys. it's the unknown, you have no idea what's in that cave!

Name some 10/10 remakes
Modern Warfare 1 was perfectly done

Campaign wise hell yeah, but the multiplayer was destroyed with guns locked behind supply drops.

ok, so its nostalgiafaggots whining over fog and ambient lighting again, got it. phew, thats a relief, i thought there was genuine criticism here

Just telling it like it is, the PS3 remasters for Ico and SOTC weren't good either. I can't remember what else they've done but they obviously don't deserve any kind of praise if they can't even port games right.

Crash Team Racing

The Silver Case and The 25th Ward.
The former's a Japan-only PS1 game, and the first game from Suda51's Grasshopper Manufacture, that got ported to PS4 and PC a few years back. The remake has retains most of the original assets, allows you to switch between the original and new assets where there are changes (except for one chapter where the artist just wasn't happy with the original art), and except for some of the in-universe "anime" art the new assets are extremely faithful to the original. It also got two new chapters to tie it in better with its two sequels, 25th Ward and Flower, Sun, and Rain.
The 25th Ward was a Japan-only phone game that got shut down in 2011 and just got remade for PS4 and PC last year. Unlike The Silver Case which was more of an enhanced port, it's a complete from the ground up remake with brand new assets, a new soundtrack from Akira Yamaoka and includes three new chapters which tie it back into Suda's beginnings with Twilight Syndrome as well as the best final chapter in any videogame ever, which also ties it into Travis Strikes Again.
While I'm at it, the Flower, Sun, and Rain remake for DS is... fine. It obviously doesn't look as good as the original PS2 version and the optional new content boils down to some extra puzzles for bonus costumes, but the low poly look translates well enough to DS and more importantly, it includes a run button and is actually translated.

God of War, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and even the "demasters" of PSABR and Titanfall are pretty much perfect.
MGS and Ico/SotC have some notable issues, but even then for most people the pros far outweigh the cons.
As far as remastering goes, they deserve plenty of praise for their work even if I think their SotC remake looks like shit.

>keep the mechanics 99% the same, but lean into the drift mechanics that make the original so good
>make the AI actually competent
>include stuff from the later, not as good Crash racers and put them into the new actually good one
>loads of just straight up new content
How did Beenox get it so right?

autistic people who pick appart remakes and explain why blades of grass looked better in the originals are the best posters on this website

yes, they are the best to laugh at

y-you too

actually the plebs who are too ignorant to understand art are far better to laugh at because they waste their money on crap and come crying afterwards.

All I can say about the remake was that it was huge fucking missed potential for Bluepoint to collab with the original designer to fulfill the original vision with all that unused land mass/collosi

The original designer had all those colossi removed because he couldn't figure out how to not make them overpowered, how to make certain mechanics work, how to have the right-sized arenas. I doubt he'd be keen on trying to make it work now.

i wish people talked about the last guardian like at all

i played the game a few years after release with low expectations and was absolutely blown away by it, i can't fathom the mentality of somoene who gives a game this wholesome a 7/10 because of camera issues, it's like they're a different species

I tried playing it but it just made me angry. Bad controls, dumb Trico, story was boring, graphics were bad, the narration just killed the atmosphere, etc
didn't get very far. got buyer's remorse

I'll probably nab it for PS5.

Basically
>unga bunga too PS2 for me

Do you even feel things ?
It's tragic ass story.

Played it a week ago, it sure was pretty good. I also felt dumb for not realising a lot of stuff. I didn't know you can give Trico different commands and I always did just default one with direction. Didn't know you can actually fight guards as a boy which is pretty cool. Didn't realise you can not only remove spears from Trico but also clean the blood and straighten feathers if you pat him more. On the other hand I didn't have much problems anyway except camera, it really was annoying sometimes and the weird reset system was truly infuriating. Still a great game overall, totally on the same level as other Ueda's games.

there's a higher than 50% chance nomad colossus posts in here

he's a shill

I went straight to the bottom of this thread, but last time we had a SotC thread there was this retarded autist posting unironically about soul. Is he still here?

Of course he is, he likely started the thread.

everyone who played both enjoys the remake as much if not more than the original. just another sony seethe thread

>talking about SOTC and thinking it doesn't have soul
What the fuck is wrong with you?

I didn't.

How's the PS3 remaster? I heard the fixed framerate actually caused some gameplay issues.

emulate ps2 it if you can

didnt play it? i can tell

This is a remaster, not a remake. It's literally the same game. Same exact engine.

Why lie?

He is delusional jim

Could you destroy the bitrate a bit more to misrepresent the 2018 version even more?

You are aware that they are running the original game's game logic right?

Attached: 1560462463748.jpg (1920x1080, 261K)

imagine being this much of a shill.

are you at least getting paid?

Attached: 1542341870562.png (1920x1080, 1.62M)

the gold coins should have been a secret colossi for sure, the sword was pointless

i think people would have defended the remake far more, it's hard to say the original is better if the ps4 version had more fights

Not me, there's a known autist who posts webms complaining about soul
I'm an IcoChad anyway

Ico > TLG > Colossi

a few were cut due to the time constraints, they would have gone for 20 if they had more time

the devil & the roc were almost finished, the devils area is still somewhat in the game (the dam) & the roc was shown off a few months before release

youtu.be/GoTzk_Bk8R8

>the gold coins should have been a secret colossi for sure, the sword was pointless
>They should just design and implement a brand new colossi that even Fumito Ueda couldn't get to work properly
This is beyond retarded.

Attached: 1536375193932.png (1920x1080, 2.17M)

the second dog fight was pretty lame, i would have opted for any of the cut ones over it, makes me think it was very much a time issue

>This is beyond retarded.
So is anyone who spent money on the remake.

The remake has more value than the old version.
Deal with it autismtard

Attached: 1536783803529.png (1920x1080, 3.24M)

1080p/60fps*

PS4 games won't get patches for PS5 considering how unused Pro is

Remake can't even run at 60fps on Pro.

the bright colors are there to make the game playable on a 240p miniscule screen you have to squint your eyes to see
I'm sure they can be fixed with an emulator filter or something, but at the time they were a necessity

wanders face looks terrible here, maybe bluepoint shouldn't have remade this at all

You can't discuss the game on the board because there are 3 autists who constantly cherrypick and nitpick and claim that you should play the original at 10fps instead. I've played both versions of the game and even if the remake drops the ball in a few places, it's largely the definitive experience.

not an argument

No it's my opinion, I'm not putting forth an argument and drawing up my own comparisons of everything the remake did right vs the things it failed on. There's no point and I refuse to waste my time with you autist-kun

It's both.

>The remake looks b-b-bad...
No it doesn't.

you made a statement

not an argument

>not an argument
Not an argument.

Face it, boomer. Your time is over.

Attached: Chadrollo.jpg (640x360, 25K)

Its eas not needed

Why did they have to give him that downy face? I'd buy the remaster this instant if someone had a mod to fix his damn face.

Looks bad

So?

I preferred the remake to the original desu, hopefully they also remaster Ico.
The photorealism does wonders for the world. I don't quite like Wander's face as much, but everything else has been improved.
If you're feeling autistic about artstyle, just slap the high contrast filter over it. The game has that facility built in.
There's like two autistic shitposters on Yea Forums who complain about the remake in every single thread. It's genuinely pitiful.

Attached: 765.gif (171x199, 40K)

Are you retarded? The Webm's been cut in a way where it doesn't show the Colossus hitting the bridge. In actual gameplay it hit's the bridge and the knife rebounds away, either you're an amnesiac or never played the game, but you're definitely a brainlet regardless.

He hits the side and it crumbles the bridge.

We have a Baldur's Gate threads on the front page right now. How is that even an argument?

Incorrect.
youtu.be/T1kNt2yP1pk?t=443

He doesn't always do the same thing you retard. Play game or look at the webm, he's hitting the side. In the webm they aren't even the same bridge.

wat

soul

soulless

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? HOW DOES A PS2 GAME LOOK BETTER THAN A PS4 GAME?

Attached: puking babby.gif (288x216, 268K)

The webm is completely useless because of the edit point.
Argus hitting the side doesn't cause the bridge to collapse, the only way to advance the fight is to make him hit the bridge.
They aren't the same bridge, but that's irrelevant since the behaviour is exactly the same.
Eat shit, brainlet.

Old version looks shit in comparison tbqhwy

Defend Silent Hill 2's remaster.

are you the same people who argue that the old wipeouts look better than wipeout hd?

>Argus hitting the side doesn't cause the bridge to collapse
Yes it does, are you blind?

Post a video, friend.

Has literally never happened in any of my playthroughs, even in the original.
Weird.

probably because the remaster is so buggy

Fucking retard, use your eyes next time.

What part of "even in the original" do you not understand?

what part of "probably because the remaster is so buggy" do you not understand?

Seems fine? i guess the fur on the monsters looks a little too clean and makes them seem slightly less intimidating/old.

Obviously the original is just as buggy, by your logic.

eurogamer.net/articles/2018-02-04-the-question-of-fidelity-and-shadow-of-the-colossus

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Shadow of the Colossus. The art is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of art history most of the nuances will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Wander’s nihilistic horse, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Freidrich's Ruckenfigur, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these images, to realise that they’re not just previous-gen technical limitations- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Shadow of the Colossus truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Ueda’s existential fogbound land, which itself is a cryptic reference to the protoimage of the third person action game. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ueda’s genius artistic vision unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Colossus weakpoint tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

you're not making any sense.

>this thing has never happened to me in the original or remaster
>the remaster is buggy
>that doesn't explain why it doesn't happen in the original
>the remaster is buggy

You're just proof that these anti-remake autists are legitimately brain damaged.

by your logic you're not making sense

it didnt change the game, there is nothing new in it to discuss.

>doesn't happen in original
>happens in remaster
>thus, remaster is buggy
are you brain damaged?

please tell me right ISN'T the remake

Is it meant to happen or not?

I used to frequent a gamespot thread all about exploring as much of the game world as possible using glitches. If there was a glitch I would've seen it. That's not one of them.

Man some people really are just too fucking stupid to live.

HURR are you sure it wasn't down to PS2 limitations that it looked the way it did? DURR

The use of blown-out whites? The tons of bloom? The DoF to accentuate certain points in scenes? Tons of other effects?

Ah, yes, of course, whenever you made a PS2 game, all those effects just magically happen. It's not artistic vision, it's the limitations of the system dude. In fact, you had to put work in so those effects aren't in your game. Remember how every game looked like SotC because of that?

Fucking idiots.

Attached: 1389485096056.jpg (457x381, 30K)

>thread all about exploring as much of the game world as possible using glitches
Why would a glitch with no use in exploration be posted in that thread?

I'm sure there'd be some "horse bugged out again, how does this happen" posts.

>You are aware that they are running the original game's game logic right?
No it's not.

Maybe Nitro Fueled doesn't count because it's arguably closer to a remake but that is easily the best remake/remaster to ever be made.
It stays so close to the original while adding so much extra content.

To add, a lot of the glitches utilized fucking with the horse to get a huge jump. There'd definitely be some failed attempts due to the horse clipping through the ground for no reason. The fact it was never mentioned makes me skeptical that it happened.

I heard that a lot when the remake came out, that they're using the original code.
It's literally impossible due to the platform differences but even if they mean the "translated" original code I doubt it. Why would they? And why would they say that anyway? Maybe they knew that the remake would be controversial and made that up as ammunition against people who think the remake is trash. It's only in their interest.

If it was a common bug, sure.
That being said, I'm not seeing those posts these days either. Obviously it's rare/self-resolving.

I do see a people finding that in the remake Agro just dies on the bridge to Malus, which is strange.
However, I don't see people finding Agro glitching into colossus fights, which happened in the original.

youtube.com/watch?v=MB1zLrGYN0M

youtube.com/watch?v=GQTjPzHlIow

why is snoy so fucking gay

I like both games as much as the next guy but jesus christ this is one of the most autistic threads I've ever seen

Soulless remake and I'm not saying this lightly

youtube.com/watch?v=zaLAx91dqo0
youtube.com/watch?v=LqX_ZGw52Do
youtube.com/watch?v=TwvlBtPmxys

I don't know what you're trying to prove. For every PS4 glitch I can show you a similar PS2 glitch.

>However, I don't see people finding Agro glitching into colossus fights
so I showed you, and now you're in damage control for some reason. struck a nerve?

You didn't show me Agro being glitched into a fight though? You showed Agro glitching during a fight she already appears in.
