How does it compare to system shock 2?

It's a piece of shit. Not meming.

its fantastic, underrated

Go on...

It's good but not without it's flaws.

video games are fucking gay

Extremely gereric, boring and bland. Not fun at all. I’ve never played it though, so I might be wrong.

It's great, althought fuck the speed run shit that it forces on you at the end

It's okay. Felt like the ability stealing should be more like aria of sorrow and less like a generic skill tree. Fun to play through once but doesn't bring too much aside from quality of life improvements. It doesn't compare favorably to ss2 but it's still a good game if on sale.

Good thing I'm gay

You are wrong

>typical Yea Forums poster

more broken steam garbage, 6 bucks and it dont even launch

fantastic game. Highly recommend.

rush the Organ Harvesting perk FIRST FOR FUCKS SAKE

and the Bullet Time skill is broken, awesome, and broken

It's pretty good, a shame it stole the namesake of the original Prey though.

It's based more off of the superior System Shock 1, and is decent enough, but will not match either SS in terms of quality

It's a very good immersive action rpg. One of the rare underrated games that Yea Forums just shits all over. If you liked System Shock, Bioshock, etc. then grab it.

>System Shock, Bioshock
why include bioshock like its the same kind of game at all

I dunno, man. I never had the perk and I still had enough materials to fill out the entire Human tree. I just whacked everything I saw with the wrench.

It's good but has weird issues that seem like oversights on the devs part. The viewmodels for the guns are super zoomed in no matter what your fov is, the crosshair is slightly below the middle of the screen, there is very bad motion blur, and the game overall just looks sort of blurry. Most of this can be fixed by screwing around with the config files, but the gun viewmodels will always be wonky. It's like 6 bucks on steam rn and that seems like a fair price to me.

not enough weapons, and annoying enemies with lockon/aoe which makes dodging almost impossible
literally 40 hour shooter with a shit ton of combat and you only have a pistol and shotgun
could you imagine if you had a rocket launcher/a better lighting gun/smg with gernade launcher

It's only a shame because niggers like you keep brining it up. The original prey was a dumb and forgettable fps-with-a-twist that make up 80% of the 360's library.

I found it annoying the enemies kept respawning every time you leave and come back to an area I really hated that so much it made me dislike the game which was very good overall

Some parts of it got pretty annoying. It has the
>Everything keeps going wrong
syndrome and it's a pain.

I really enjoyed it. It's like a streamlined system shock 2. Remember how is SS2 there were all these numbers and skills and archaic gameplay elements some of which were largely pointless? yeah most of thats gone, so maybe some 1990s/2000s charm of old game design is lost but I still absolutely enjoyed my time with Prey. For the $6 on sale this is so very easy to recommend. I'd probably recommend it at the normal $30 to be honest.

For best experience remove quest markers the moment they pop up. Makes for a much more immersive time and you learn the map layouts pretty well so you know where to go when told to go to "Talos I Lobby" or whatever. Feels more like exploration, not being told to go here do this.

they literally have signs everywhere but the game can still feel like Banjo and Kazooie 2 if they tell you to go back to some place you haven't been to in awhile

Mooncrash is great.

Get on your knees and start sucking then, fag.

Most people don't give it a chance and quit during the on-rails helicopter flight where the pilot tells you how breathtaking the 3D company logos look like out the window which you're forced to stare at for minutes, but other than that it gets good once you get past that.
