No discord, this is all hush hush still. The IP is owned by Daybreak and I'm an insider. A 3rd party studio is acquiring the rights to EQOA to bring it back to life with a port into a modern engine.

Same world, very similar gameplay, being in a new engine likely means its not gonna be 100% the same but they will try to stay close to the original

Back in high school when I was playing EQ, I had an idiot friend who was playing EQOA instead. Nowadays he's in jail on some major drug charges. I always figured this was a continuation of his bad life choices that began with playing EQOA instead of EQ.
