Why was it so underrated?
It’s rare these days for a Triple-A game to offer such a fully fledged experience.
I legitimate love this game, and I’m not easily impressed these days.
God-tier visuals
because it's fucking shit, you faggot. tomb raider stopped being good many, many years ago
You apparently haven’t played the new trilogy, retard. They’re some of the best games of the decade
>huge RPG towns
>tons of NPCs who mostly talk bollocks, but you still have to talk to them in case you get that one who tells you where something good is
>Jonah, all the fucking time
Nobody wants that shit in Tomb Raider. It was passable in '13/Rise, it's overbearing in Shadow
It’s not perfect by any means but as I said in the OP, we are rarely getting games with this much content anymore from AAA studios
Dude you have to be delusional or something. Sure the games look really good but that's it. I've beaten all the new Tomb Raider games on the hardest difficulty and I've never died once from combat. The gameplay is not fun or challenging in any way. Also the story is bad but I'll give that a pass because video game stories in general aren't that good.
I genuinely felt that way about Rise but Shadow left behind a bad taste. Are the DLCs good? I haven't wanted to replay it but I was a fool who preordered the deluxe version.
Because 70% of the game is filled with puzzles.
>>good story
The narrative was downright atrocious and Lara was incredibly unlikeable.
>>fun gameplay
It played like a bad Uncharted and that's saying something.
>>loads of content
Most of which was bad. Like holy shit the "tombs" and """""""puzzles""""""" were downright jokes
>Why was it so underrated?
More like overrated.
>You apparently haven’t played the new trilogy, retard. They’re some of the best games of the decade
>forced diversity
>waycism
>feminism
>big tit Lara sexist!
>gameplay for pic related
I appreciate that the developers went the extra mile despite this style of game is becoming a rarity, and I do think Shadow is a good game and worth buying/playing, but there's elements which actively, unnecessarily sabotage it.
Really enjoyed '13 and Rise though. No complaints about those.
I’m a /pol/ poster. There is no forced diversity in this game. The games actually handles the female protag really well.
>loads of content
Rise had more and longer and with bigger maps
>god-tier visuals
Rise had better graphics, god knows why
>good story
seriously?
we wont have more TB games anyway
>It played like a bad Uncharted
Nah
If anything the modern TR games are Uncharted done right
No jiggle, no buy.
>foreigner
>goes to some uncharted place
>place has natives who are peaceful people but hostile torwards foreigner
>peaceful people hate foreigner because mistaken for bad guy
>there's another force oppressing the native people, they are bad people
>"oh no"
>the foreigner is the chosen one to save the people from the evil bad men
This trope is so fucking overused in videogames and movies.
The Matrix, The Last Samurai, Stars Wars (I havent watched it but I thing the story follows that) are examples in movies on the top of my head.
All three nu-tomb raiders, Horizon Zero Dawn, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, etc did this.
Its so fucking boring.
>The games actually handles the female protag really well.
Biggest joke I've read all day. This only got worse and worse the further along the trilogy you got.
Not a single one of these games were well-written and Lara was always a downright dogshit written character.
I feel you there man. I would have loved it if Aloy grew up raised by the Nora and not some "atheist" outsider.
None of those a true.
Is inferior to Rise in every way.
She went full psycho in sotr.
Dont worry
Nu hollywood-disney dont use that trope anymore, they are all nigger/some minority hero now
I actually couldn't stop laughing when she tells whichever asshole
YOU
ARE
FUCKING
DEAD
Is the DLC any good?
