I played the Switch demo, and the game felt a lot better than I thought it would. I was always planning on purchasing it, but I'm feeling more confident now.
On an unrelated note, it also seems that each character will have three palettes, from what I've seen at least. Their standard, an alternate colour (most of which are based upon the "Dark" Life Fibre clones from the OVA), and an ArcSys reference palette. Not only do they look good, but it's also nice to see that tradition of their's continue even here.

Close range (changes depending on direction), long range (can be charged), & guard break are the main attacks. Theres also dash attacks, super moves, and character gimmicks. You can engage a RPS with meter to gain a star (up to 3) which gives stat bonuses. 3 stars and full meters can give you a finishing move.

What is wrong with the camera? Everyone is complaining about it but I see nothing wrong. I can always see everything and tell what I'm doing. It's doesn't have any disorienting angles, it has a very wide FOV, and it really doesn't move around too much outside of combos even then if the angle changes drastically it'll give you time to readjust. I really don't see anything wrong with it or how it affects the controls.

Yes, I was worried by the small roster and it being a 3d arena fighter but the demo was a lot of fun and has way more depth than kusoge like Hero Aca or CC2 Naruto

In terms if the neutral different characters use very different approaches, but in general people will approach with a ground or air homing dash. These can be beaten clean by an anti-air (up or down and close range attack) which leads to full combos. They can also be cancelled into dodges, so you can try to bait an anti-air and cancel early to punish it.
Projectiles vs homing dash priority is unique to the specific move, some projectiles beat homing and some get destroyed.

In addition to starting a square combo three different ways (AA, wide attack, regular attack), you can end it 3 different ways. In general holding right/left for the ender gives more meter, holding up/down launches for an air follow up, and neutral is a quick burst of damage.
Most big combos will involve comboing into a super that guarantees a wall splat and using that as a loop.

Some characters like Ganagoori 100% need that first valor. Some like Ryuko don't need it but get much stronger with it, and some barely see its effects like Satsuki.

Aplus said that Bamco only wanted a LWA game that had stuff fans wanted and didn't care about the quality, and how they had more say in development than Trigger because they owned the game rights. Compare that to KLK where ASW had the GG devs come in and do some consulting on how to make the game look and feel right and how they had constant meetings with Trigger (mainly Sushio) on getting everything feeling as authentic as possible.

Another thing was how the first pitch ASW did for the game was done almost immediately after the show ended but didn't impress Trigger at all, so the concept was put on ice till now.

To answer your question, alt costumes have not been confirmed as of yet, only other palettes.

Just played the demo and I like it. I suck at it because the last time I played an arena fighter was some Naruto Shippuden game for the 360 (Ninja storm 3?) and before that, MK Deadly Alliance in 2002.

But I like how smooth it looks. The cutscenes are kind of laughably cheesy and I hope they won't be so bad in the main game. There's an audio problem on the PS4 and I won't shit on the combat just because I'm bad at it. It seems fun.

But what I REALLY fucking love so far is the soundtrack. Am I alone in that? Also, hearing the japanese VAs makes me realize how much I liked the dub voices. It's been forever since I listened to the jap vas.

I'd say it's pretty great desu. My favourite so far is Satsuki's Theme, as well as its Lv. 3 Bloody Valour version. More and more of it is getting uploaded, someone just put up Inumuta's Theme minutes ago lol.

The story mode seems to utilize tracks from the anime's OST, and even the title screen plays Eir Aoi's 'sirius', just like the anime's first OP. Since the game is giving us a different story they can really expand on some club leaders that were OHKO'D by Ryuuko in the anime, though I don't see some random gardening one-star becoming a playable character

I hate how characters walk into battle already transformed. The henshin was a big appeal of the show. Ryuuko should have a special intro against nui where she transform by pulling the glove pin via pure rage, just like the show.
