Sylux isn't as important to smash as Porky is. Porky was a boss in Brawl and had a trophy in Brawl and 4(at least I think he had a throphy in 4) I'm not saying Sylux isn't in, what I'm saying is that the circumstances surrounding Porky make him very much likely. But then again anything can happen.

At this point, they’re saving him for either a boss or a fighter. Considering how many Porky-related spirits are missing I’m leaning more towards fighter, but at the same time the idea of Nintendo picking the antagonist from a long concluded series for its fighter’s pass is strange to me. I guess we’ll just see what happens.

Past successes of Mother 1/2 on E-shop, Switch generally being advertised as amenable to indie and low-fidelity styles of games. Undertale doing about as well as expected (comparing them is a meme yes but corporate could see them as having a similar audience).

But sometimes you have to accept that life is not about always getting what you want.
I hope I am wrong but right now I feel for sure that Porky is neither of the last 2 characters, and I accept it, and I'm ok with it, and at this point I just hope they are interesting characters.

Porky can't compare to Sylux, Sylux is not a major villain who has effect the lore as a whole...YET. Porky was a subspace boss, the only subspace boss not a spirit, once Prime 4 finally comes out, maybe Sylux finally can make it in. But as of rn, being Year of the pig, the 30th anniversary, missing spirit? I feel like it's lining up.
