I am from Mozambique, I used to be a private in the military but the pay was too low.

I heard from a former official that private security was paying big money to men in the Angola region. I have woman and child and I decided private forces would be good money.

I joined the CFA in the region and I was given job, I had to guard outpost in the middle of nowhere, only few passing trucks. Seemed easy.

Job was routine with no much going on, which I like, no shoots, no much pressure, out of the most dangerous zones. We just needed to look ready on inspection. Nice job.

I made friends with man from south Africa, also former army. Things had been quit for some time, when one night, during routine guard, he tells me of man called Big Boss.

Bad man, mercenary, many tales of him, both good and bad. Terrifying he tell me and he says he was spotted in region. He responsible for blowing up a full tank of petrol in the region only a week ago. Soldier ghost story, I didn't believe him but as soon he stops talking friend goes down on ground! Just goes down. I could not believe it.

I looked around, thinking he is dead, but before I can check I heard FREEZE and I feel my rifle being taken from me and cold steel pushing on back of my head. I go on ground and tell him about metal in container, I thought I was going to die. I lay down and I watch as he shoots two other men, then goes to tall outposts and grabs a man by his leg and throws him to the ground.

I watch as he places explosives everywhere, I thought he was going to kill us all but then he drags men out of distance and places them inside building. I was a little further away, I thought of running but he sees me, and this is the first glance I get of him. It was him, Big Boss, one eyed demon.

He sets mine on floor and tells me not move, that if I move he will know it. I was scared of life!

He pulls balloon, yes balloon! He places balloon on the container and container just lifts up, up into the sky. Container was two ton heavy at least! and Balloon lifted it as nothing, he then starts placing balloons everywhere and mortars, guns and even people start lifting up into the night sky.

Man must be magician, I could not believe what I was seeing.

He then pulled detonator and I braced myself, everything lit up in flames! Tent, outpost, light, generator, EVERYTHING. I was almost left deft but luckily nothing burned me, nor shrapnel hit me, I was mostly okay except for ring in ears.

He approaches me one time, and told me to stay put until morning, and that if I move he would know, he was watching always watching.

Then I hear horse come and he then rode it into the night.

Just as I was about to move, mine exploded! but no mine, BALLOON!

Balloon with shape of him, watching me, I simply stood there until sunrise when fellow mercenaries woke up and asked what happened, my friend popped balloon, and he would not believe what I told him.

Big boss has been there that night!
Maybe we summoned him with his name.

So Portable ops is not canon and therefore Snake went from a U.S operative to mercenary in a week for no good reason but MGSV is not even about Big Boss and yet Big Boss simply makes a nation in Zanzibar for no explained reason and it is not even connected to the events of ground zeroes.

Oh and he is also friends with Zero until that point.

This would've been a far more interesting layout for Mother Base to be explored on foot/via vehicle in MGSV than what we got.

Also, there's a group of guys huddled next to the window of one of the abandoned hospital wards up on med deck prime. Sounds like they've having a group hallucination about butterflies.
