What are some good single player card games? Finished Slay the Spire recently and had a blast - anything else decent in this vein?

Hearthstone is mainly multiplayer but it does have some really solid single player.

Used to play Hearthstone but got sick of the grind. Just let me buy some cards and play with them fuck your dust and random drops and booster packs.

I don't mind random drops in game as progression if it's at a reasonable rate - but let's be honest it's never at a reasonable rate if there's the option to pay

Pirates Outlaws on ios and android is actually good, its more casual and short as shit, but with the recently added arena and the long fucking grind to unlock captains and campaigns you got tons of play time, as long as you dont buy gold and just unlock everything at the start. The game is 2-3 dollars and one of the captains costs a few dollars as hes a "supporter" captain, but the rest of the game can be farmed out for free.

Its a trash model to be honest, but once you learn the game you get 100-150 gold per run so its not too bad.

Video games is the only form of entertainment I like, movies and books is boring as shit.
Only reason I watch movies or tv shows is when I watch them with friends

they have a line-up of Single Player Adventures now that use their own cards that you pick from buckets kinda StS style, that you don't need a collection for. The best one is the most recent Dalaran Heist, you need gold/cash to get more than the first wing. The other 3 or so Adventures are completely free.
Nothing incredible but they will kill an hour or two.

Maybe I'll check it out so, if I'm gonna have to spend money on the wings because I'm not arsed grinding for dust I'd want more than an hour or to play time though

the first free wing for the paid thing is 8 matches or so iirc, with 2 playable classes. Random picks and some stupidly crazy 'treasure' cards you can get for a run so you might replay it once or twice. After that it's 700g, or about a week and a half of daily quest completing, if you wanted another wing with more classes.

Gems of War. You play a match 3 puzzle to get mana for your card abilities. Made by the people that did Puzzle Quest if you ever played that back in the day. Its free on all platforms and a refreshing twist on your standard card game, at least imo.

I know that 'deck-building game' is a fairly wide genre and there are a lot of entries. But I don't know many of them.

Nowhere Prophet looks pretty good from what I've seen, but it's new so the dev is still working out bugs and balance

Keep gloomhaven on your radar. Not really single player, not fully a card game, but it's still fantastic.

Monster Monpiece is rather fun, but it's fairly simplistic.
