Game had a good uptick in players with recent update but was then killed by that youtuber introducing a broken as fuck spawn system that further alienated new players
It was nice to see the game back to it's former glory for a couple weeks. Way to fucking murder what was essentially a fucking relaunch. Fucking retard. I can never forgive Wrel for that one. I can forgive all the dumb decisions that lead up to the relaunch as there were obviously good decisions made too, but pushing that broken spawn system has to be the most ill advised thing he could have fucking done.

XI was best pretty much any time before WotG started coming out, though during WotG it was still good up until level cap went up.
Main thing with WotG is it just felt like extra copy-paste zones with a couple of hipster NMs (bosses) no-one felt the need to camp, the zones were fuckass annoying to navigate and huge.
There was campaign for like 2k exp/hour while looking for party but there was no rewards or reason to do it for ages.

I hate to make the muh immersion argument but for fucks sake planetside 2 was supposed to make you feel like you're a part of something bigger and to fight for your cause.
