Unironically bought it for the gameplay and it's quite worth. Game looks great too. Probably one of the best looking fighting games and designs for me. SC and Tekken just don't do it for me.

The problem is consumers are retarded, when a product reduces it's quality/quantity to increase sales, and the consumers split into accepting and not accepting the changes, the price just increases along with the amount of consumers being reduced, instead of returning the quality/quantity to the product. The producer lowers it's production values, cuts employed workers and makes the remaining workers work more to compensate for the cuts, and it all becomes a downward spiral where the most bland and flavorless products remain with an addicted audience of mongoloids where once a solid and quality product was able to sustain itself by being a solid purchase for it's customers instead of the worst possible thing that's still able to make a profit.

sounds like a copout reason when no matter the platform, everything is still 1's and 0's in the end and can be pirated, especially when disc format is the standard until someone builds a rom dumper for carts and someone writes an emulator for it, which we still did back in the old days

digital distribution by itself has little relevance on the part of effort by the devs, and in fact it might make it easier for them given that they don't have to run through printing the game out and all the hoops involved for that
digital distribution is just a venue that gives easier access to pirates when decrypting and dumping roms/isos is a little complicated for the average bear
