fallout 4 from the looks of it. unless the pic is unrelated.

a terrible mistake

What's so bad about it? If it's story, I could care less. I bought this game to explore and kill stuff. Does it at least do that well?

kinda
the map and quests are a letdown compared to fallout 3. but the shooting is improved I guess.
make sure you get some companions, they're one of the better parts of the game

I believe the map in 4 is more boring and lifeless than the previous two games. Feels smaller too, but this is probably because most of the map is empty nothingness and ocean with too many distinguishing yet unremarkable landmarks.

A game so so mediocre you'll barely remember it after playing.
That's after 200+ hours of playtime.

regrets

I mean if the shooting is better, that's a big plus for me. My gripe with NV and 3 was the terrible gunplay. Also, companions? How do they add to the game? I usually use them for extra firepower.

Ah, that sucks. Well I hope the "killing stuff" aspect holds up then.

I mean if you played it for 200+ hours, you must have at least liked something about it, right?

They're like New Vegas companions but not as good. Nick is the only good one.

Second best modern 3D fallout game

Fallout3 2.

the bestest girl ever

Pros
>Superior gunplay to F3/New Vegas
>Robust crafting system
>1-2 decent DLC's
>Best iteration of Power Armor
>Build your own settlements and use them to generate wealth and food
>Decent companion characters

Cons
>Power armor breaks the game, and you get it 10 minutes into the story
>Only two major settlements, rest of the map is filled with random encounters
>If you don't enjoy salvaging for scrap to build shit you'll get bored fast
>Settlements are basically inept at defending themselves so you will be constantly called on to babysit them

Having likes and dislikes was enough for me to change my play style and change my companions every so often. It's only a little thing but I liked it a lot, and gave me a reason to roleplay. They'll pay attention to actions you do like taking chems or picking locks and their disposition toward you changes accordingly.

Then you'll like FO4 especially with mods. Have fun building settlements and messing with weapons/gameplay mods.

>Robust crafting system
Pretty much every upgrade is a straight stat boost and anything that isn't a boring rifle barely has any upgrades.

It's the kind of game you like playing at first, but then get so bored you never want to play again

Yeah, typical Bethesda amusement park. Its a very pretty world to explore and some of the guns are satisfying to shoot with. If you can make peace with the limited rpg elements and accept the speech as being linear you can have some fun with it.

Garbage that's unfixable due to bethesda using a proprietary engine framework for most of the important gameplay assets.
Fuck havok.

I've figured out how to hook and obtain access to the central havok type registry and the engine itself after much faffing about miusunderstanding how C++ maps to assembly and how vtables work.
I shall do nothing with this information out of spite, bethesda games don't deserve to be fixed.
