Was he the main character? I played it for a bit but got bored. Certainly looked great, though. There was an obvious lack of graphical power to be able to show a huge city, but it still did the setting justice, unlike a certain upcoming open world trash game.

RDR2

its a visually enjoyable walking simulator, and yes Rutger voices the main character.

Kino moments are the highest point of story telling ,design, filming and directing.
Already half of gaming barely care about these things. And now with high budget studio focusing on easy formula and journalist bait stories such moment are lost in time like tears in rain

Not video games. .

He's done video games

Here is your video games , piece of meat.

Soulless post.

SOMEONE STREAM BLADE RUNNER

Does this have any ties with the movie? Is it the same story? Or a seperate story?

i have never seen blade runner

Separate but has some ties with original.

Huge F

You really should watch it, it can be a bit slow but it's one of the most visually beautiful movies ever made.

The ending is also unironically pure soul.

I didn't know Rutger died, so ignore the gif still Bryan dying feels the same.

it's similar to the movie but it tries to be more like the book by phillip k dick

Killer 7.

No, it can't be! It's all a misunderstanding!

Attached: killer7 garcian roof.png (640x480, 195K)

Xehanort is dead again damn

It's scifi opera babble, none of it actually means anything, it's meant to evoke a feeling of wonder and curiousity about thing the audience knows nothing about, the only line with real weight is how the memories of these fantastical things will be washed away when he dies, like tears in rain. The monologue itself isn't as special as its DELIVERY

...

>literally watched blade runner for the first time ever a week ago
>watched blade runner 2049 for the first time last night
I feel weirdly guilty

>One of the most iconic movie roles ever
>Rutger himself literally came up with the "tears in rain" line, wasn't even part of the script
>Completely unpretentious and acted in everything from B-flicks to video games just because he loved acting.

fuck

I've watched that Tears in Rain scene so many goddamn times. What is it that makes it so fucking perfect?

What has Yea Forums been playing during the year of no gaems?

My man I have literally seen beams.

>What is it that makes it so fucking perfect?

It's what said
He's describing completely made up sci-fi shit that we can't technically relate to at all, but he does it so convincingly and painfully that we can't help feel bad for him.

We will never understand completely what he's talking about, and that's the point. Like tears in rain.

Technically, sure, but on a basic level definitely. He may not be human, but he functions enough like one to empathise with. What we're seeing is a man who knows death is knocking, and he's flooded with memories. Memories that may not mean anything to anybody else, but make up who he is. He's saying his last words, he knows it, you know it. That's what gives it weight. To give it the extra oomph, this killing machine that was a horror movie monster not 2 minutes ago saves Deckard. So you understand him better: he wasn't trying to kill Deckard, he was trying to instil fear. The same fear he's feeling. Ultimately he's demonstrating who he perceives himself to be in action and in dialogue: misunderstood, hated, feared, afraid.
