The entire concept of this game is shit. A story-driven mmo? How the fuck can you expect to retain a player base when your game is a one-and-done experience? Imagine a version of FFXIV that had all its resources focused on gameplay. You'd have PvP servers, more raids, more interesting overworld design instead of the no-effort theme park style, horizontal gear and skill progression, and more. FFXIV could be great, but the developers are content with putting in the bare minimum effort outside of graphics and music - which is typical for Square Enix.

Anything is a primal if it's summoned. Louisoix began summoning primals of the Twelve at Carteneau, but they were never fully manifested. So they may or may not be real, but they're not primals yet.

The reason WoL lost the first fight is because they got stunned and then Thancred intervened, and since the mission was to escape with Ryne we didn't want to push it.
Also if you notice your damage output against him you would have easily beat him if you didn't get blinded by his lightning attack.

I'm going to overmeld my crafting gear, obviously CP is a priority, but should I focus on craftmanship or control next? Last expansion, there were arguments for either since high craftsmanship reduced the amount of synthesis steps needed to finish the item and was reliable, whereas control let you push quality higher from lower amounts most of the time.

What "utility"? Litany and Brotherhood offer roughly the same rDPS, DNC, NIN, and AST have trash DPS that their rDPS barely makes up for. Not to mention NIN is now challenging to the point of being unfun to play according to it's playerbase which I'm not surprised since the job was the easiest melee DPS in SB.

Our group has always checked for things like uptime, how you died if you did, what rotation you're using. If you're playing well but your gear is shitty we can fix that. If some fag has a 96 on new content but the second we bring his retarded ass he drops to a 60 because his parse was padded and he got babysat by 7 people then he probably won't be staying.
Rdps is a great addition but it typically doesn't change all that much except for making our NIN feel better. BLM is still top, etc.

All star points are out of 120 per fight and are based on your highest DPS on a fight as a percentage of the #1 parse. Most people look at best historic, but median is probably a lot more important because it shows consistency.

In titania normal sure. But titania ex is far more likely to simply wipe the party via mechanics rather than failed DPS checks or enrage. I've personally never seen a titty ex party do mechanics correctly and still die due to low dps

The ones I usually play with are about average-competent. I've genuinely never seen one that wasn't a red mage for casters so I have no other comparison, but they were average-good tanks and average-decent melee/ranged DPS otherwise

Put me in savage, and im struggle to get to 80 percentile. (averaging at 70-75%)
you will always have a higher percentile on non savage fights, due to bad players lowering the average.

Don't believe this for a second. In alphascape normal I had to play perfectly at near max ilvl to get my high oranges. Everyone says crap like this but none of it is true.

It is when a DNC manages to out DPS you as a BLM. They got a 99 on their parse and did 400 more DPS than me.

ARR itself sucks and the story even pokes fun at ARR and how tedious it is much later, mainly through DRK's job-quests and some spots of Stormblood and Shadowbringers.

Technically i was playing DRK, so i had the advantage of only haveing a 123 combo, and spaming oGCDs as soon as possible (not hard)
also wasnt MTing.
so there was no penalty for not knowing how to mitigate dmg, nor a penalty to not keeping my resources at certain thresholds for certain things.
