Well enjoy it, because after this you'll never see another the Surge game again. This is a classic story. A new IP comes out, the first game does slightly, slightly goo, good enough to raise money for the sequel, then the sequel comes out, sells less than the first game, and you never hear of it again. Textbook.

Looked like it's only improvements on the first one, but I still don't really like the setting that much. There isn't any atmosphere to be had and some of the designs are just kinda weird / ugly

That is so boring I can't understand how someone can want more of that. The ideal would be From combining AC and Dark Souls and just making an Armored Souls game but that is never going to happen. The Surge has to fill that void and the fuck if they aren't trying.
