Entire campaign is a tutorial

yeah b-but it's still f-fun, desu. i just wish town building was more important, and i wish villagers had needs you had to satisfy (lol). . as it is you can build the shantiest shanty town and it'll still work as well as an immaculate village

becuase end game is a city builder that you get to play as you want.

my 2nd island was a shanty shithole though, won't lie

What sucks is that even though the entire game is a tutorial, the villagers only ever tell you about a handful of rooms and you have to guess the rest.

yeah i did the bare minimum and then went back and ransacked the place for materials. i feel guilty

yeah, and there are too many possible combinations to just do it by trial and error. i mean, the difference between 3 or 4 pots, or a bag on the wall. i don't understand what their intention was

>check out the spa requirements
>10 hot water tiles
>no less
>10
>and fucking petals floating on top
Seriously, that's some bullshit.

hey while we're here, does anybody know if you can bring materials and stuff to other peoples' worlds?

But user, you can't take materials between islands. What did you do with them?

once you finish an island it lets you take stuff between them. at least, it lets me ferry stuff between farrowfield, khrumbul-dun and the isle of awakening

That's wrong. You can't bring anything to a story island but you can bring back everything to the Isle of Awakening.

how do you make a hot water tile?

Just tell me straight up, when do I get to craft windows?

You need to find a hot spring in one of the random mini islands.

Base level 3 on Furrowfield I think.

>complete desert island
>start having ideas how to build main island
>managed to build 2 houses before dragged off to Skelkatraz
I just wanna build freely a bit

what is skelkatraz? it had me building a pyramid and oasis after the desert level. also you can just chill and build as much as you want, don't let the game pressure you into rushing through story mode desu

Next bit of story that comes after the pyramid building. I thought i'd finish off the pyramid by doing the quests thinking it was just same tutorial stuff as before

Not feeling second island at all, to be desu.
>absolutely tiny base size, even by DQB standards
>overworld is small and uninteresting
>you're just running down a mine to blow shit up or laying down tracks, repeatedly
>a fucking curfew bell that interrupts w/e you were doing and comes with a cutscene, every day
>can't set up any sort of defenses, monster just fucking walk in

Still love the game, but I just want to find my ore or whatever and leave.

the base size doubles later in the story, des. i agree though, that island was a slog because i just wanted to get back to the island with my shiny new materials. there is some good stuff to find in the mines though, like a dragon that drops scales for a suit of armor, and an ogre that drops a pretty good club for malroff

>tiny base
yeah this got me tripped up too

what's even worse is the chain blocks it gives you to build with get all fucked up if you start putting things between them, so you have to build the whole outside shape first then add windows/doors/etc so you don't break the art
