The anime tropes in Dragon Quest less obvious and Final Fantasy barely even feels like typical anime due to its inspirations coming from a more classical Japanese artist.

Often, when people say "weeb" they don't mean it literally. They know what a weeaboo is, and aren't saying that you are LITERALLY so obsessed with Japanese culture that you glorify every bit of it while shunning your own. They're saying your behavior sufficiently resembles that of a weeb that it will be funny to call you one.
