You can be the thorn in the enemies side, flank them. Use cover and concealment and meme on them. Every map allows for it, save for hue city. Even then, there are still some memey spots on hue.

it's unnesasary, they phased it out from ads for good reason, it's unintuitive for the player

wanting to ads faster will just make faster players better, it makes the skill ceiling, and things that a skilled player can accomplish higher, it also speeds up the game

What the fuck are you talking about? Who phased it out? The Red Orchestra series has always had free aim, it's one of the staple features of the games. What games prior to Red Orchestra: Ostfront had the same free aim system? You had to get used to it back then just like you do now. Just because you don't like a mechanic doesn't mean it's an obsolete relic.

rising storm 2 vietnam is essentially a red orchestra game, my point is, the same devs that made that free aim system, have now changed that free aim system, it's no longer active when you ads

this is based on the fact that many players have no desire to play with a system so jarring to what they already have learned in any other shooter

If you do that you throw all realism out the window you turn it into just another brainlet run n gun shooter when the entire point of games like these are to think strategically and make proper use of smoke gernades, fire suppression and positioning. The semi-realistic movement and gun handling enforce this. Everything has some weight to it, which is what it'd be like IRL too.
If I wanted to run and gun like a headless chicken I'd go play CoD or BF.
So again if you don't like this type of game go play Titanfall 2 or something, I heard its on sale.

Sure but why dumb the whole thing down by making everything faster. The slower movements force player to think about their next move which makes for more elaborate gameplay and forces better teamwork. If you reload you're going to need a teammate to cover your ass since it takes up quite some time to do. If you could reload in 0.1 of a second reloading would be a non-issue and also take away a lot of the tension of the fear of getting shot because you're reloading.

Sometimes i get the "no ammo" effect but i still fire my gun, resulting in a CLICK and a second later the huey i fired my "empty" RPG exploding.

I never the same rotation on a regular basis. Campaign mode helps with that by forcing players to vote for a specific collection if maps that often times do not contain an option to choose the original 5 maps that everyone has played to death.

That's good, I haven't played since long before they added the campaign mode. It was a lot of the same maps over and over because there was only a handful and nobody played the smaller maps.

That's kinda the appeal though, I've found. It's not the type of game for most people - it's too challenging and people get pissy after being killed 'too many times'.

Honestly, if you want to have the closest possible war experience - this is the game for you. Simulates a very genuine feeling of absolute terror and fear in the battlefield.

Squad developers decided that having one-hit kills everywhere kinda sucked and instead replaced that track/wheel/engine/turret/critical ammo damage, it's actually a really fun system.

A single light anti-tank has no chance against a main battle tank, but you can ruin his day anyway. Get his engine or tracks, then call in other assets to finish them off
