The Fenrir bike has MSQ speed boost in zones where you don't have it yet. Nice for when new areas come out but if you're already done with ShB it doesn't do much for you besides being another mount.

Think of it this way, you could pretty easily get a 100 percentile healing parse by just spamming whatever you biggest healing spell is over and over, managing MP, using Mind pots, etc., but that doesn't help your party. The healer's job is to keep everyone alive, not to spam heals when everyone's HP is already full.

Not to mention your first experience with the Blessed is attending a funeral for a child.

I think Minfilla is the biggest problem with ARR and its patches. She's just so... nothing. It's not even that she's bland, you can have a bland by the numbers character be engaging. She's just nothing. She has little personality, she doesn't even seem engaged in the plot or anything that's happening. Even when the fucking Sultana is dead she seems like she's going through the motions. There were side NPCs in ARR with more depth than her, and the questline suffers because of it.

It's dark aspected, but the 13th's real issue is the fact that the only "living" creatures left on it are voidsent who soak up every scrap of loose aether to themselves and never die to return it to the lifesteam. The 13th's lifestream is utterly devoid of aether, the cycle of life and death can't continue because of it, since anything that dies just has its aether devoured.

They could have some physical attacks just as the other healers have magical attacks.
A close ranged healer could be an interesting concept.

Alisaie feels.more fitting in that situation. Not only is she the last Scion to drop, but right before she does you both have a huge emotional moment where she pours her heart out to you. Plus experiencing the horror of the Sin Eaters first hand sets the mood for meeting Vauthry, and reuniting with Alphy after so long feels better as a secondary encounter.

I don't get why people keep saying this, it'd never work. If you can only heal at close range you have to keep dashing to every single party member to heal them, some with distances between them greater than the GCD cooldown. It's dumb and would never work.

Here's what the mods look like, even the Eden boots give the block foot, I'm not even a footfag and I like these.

It honestly worked both ways, I went to Kholusia first to see Alphinaud and doing it before Amh Areng was a great "World's fucked chief" demonstration, by leading with the general shittiness of Eulmore before demonstrating the true horror of Sin Eaters with Tesleen. Plus if you do it that way Tesleen being turned takes place right before Holminster Switch, really sets the mood.

What's the least autistic, and hopefully least suicidal way to start learning crafting? I need to start clearing out my retainers.

The only way I picture a hammer healer working is basically Cleric, which could be like a white mage with the dps gimmicks of a red mage (build up to a melee combo with spells, dash in and bash, flip out).
I think the next healer will be Chemist or some variant of it though.

Start crafting the highest level item you can. If you don't want to be autistic or suicidal then don't go for HQ, but be sure you know you'll likely be making twice as much shit that way to make up for the exp loss.

It could still be primarily a healer.
Just give them some strikes as a hammer for damage, maybe some AoE on par with WHM.
It's not like healers using hammers is a strange concept, paladins in other MMOs have always had the option of being healsluts instead of tanks.

Ishgard is the WoL's home and that's something they've done pretty well.

getting a powerful attack for healing was honestly a fantastic idea, if anything, a lot of the more dps focused healers are usually better about not letting me die these days

Makes sense, was the one place to shelter and support us at our lowest, and full of people that REALLY like us beyond our use in battle.
