This is a game that has a lower level of quality and polish than a student game dev project and it's being sold (at $60!!!) as the modern sequel to a game that managed to somehow have higher quality 20 years ago than today. All of this was created by quite literally the richest franchise in world history, and they are completely capable of making a product with 10x higher quality, but they are cutting corners and content because they know they can and still get away with it, because millions of retards will buy it because "Pokemon" is in the title.

The big thing is that they appeal to literal children, which tend to not have standards and will probably buy merch. All they care about is selling more shitty toys or shirts to kids, all the games are good for to them is to advertise new pokemon toys (even though they sell very well, i'm sure the merch brings in the money). The only hope is that gamefreak somehow damages the brand to the point the merch sells less, which is virtually impossible it seems, but if they somehow do that, then TPC/Nintendo would probably step in to buy out whatever stake they have in the franchise since its that profitable and have another company do it, or introduce a higher quality control for what GF shits out.

Everyone knows the games will sell well, the important thing is whether or not the games sell less than expected. For example if the games only sell 10 million when GF/Nintendo were expecting 15 million, that's enough of a loss for Nintendo to hopefully put GF's nuts to the fire and patch the game to have a Nat dex.

Yeah, sold really bad for Pokemon in Japan as well. Everyone expect Sword/Shield to sell like hotcakes but as long as they lose a good chunk of otherwise guaranteed sales that's more than enough to send a message. Remember to get the game used or just get Digimon Cyber Sleuths on switch instead.
