Omega is the best and Feisar gang
Can someone tell me why wipeout fans don't seem to like fusion?
I've been kind of interested in playing it.
Also auricom best team
Bump
Why does no one ever wanna talk about wipeout?
>Yea Forums
>skill based games
Lmao
it's ballisticNG
It's bretty gud but not as good as wipeout
Been meaning to play redout though, that one looks like its more than a simple wipeout clone
You only like Feisar because theyre the most popular.
Their ships are the worst and they are known in universe to be the shitty team that never wins
Jesus christ are all Auricom niggers this autistic
Would you care to elaborate?
>You don't actually like thing
This is something Yea Forums loves to do for some reason and I don't know why
This is the only PSX Wipeout that supported analog control iirc.
Just by virtue of that it wins. Nothing against D-pads in general, in fact I prefer them for this genre, but the Playstation D-pad is shit.
Why the OST is so kino?
>Which is the best wipeout game and why is it wipeout 3?
I'd say 2097 is the better game, but that's just personal preference. While 3's art direction, OST and gameplay are top notch, I prefer the darker ambiance and industrial feeling of 2097.
>Also which is the best team?
In 3 it's definitely Icaras, top speed airbraking is satisfying. In 2097 it's Quirex or go home.
It's dogshit. The vehicles are incredibly unresponsive and floaty.
>Nothing against D-pads in general, in fact I prefer them for this genre
You prefer d-pads for racing games? That's one of the absolute worst genres to use a d-pad for.
wipeout 64 by far.
2048 is the best one, and i always go icarus
i play ctr nitro fueled on a d pad. stick always felt like shit for me with racing games
One of the better psvr games is Wipeout.
Shit taste m8. 2048 had the same issues as Fusion, amongst other things like the whack soundtrack. It wasn't a bad game but saying it's the best just outs you as a plebian.
Depends on the game, PS1 Wipeout only has analog controls when using the negcon so it's better to use dpad
it has the entirety of HD in it, which would be the best otherwise. still play pulse the most though becuase i only own a pc and a psp these days :(
For me it's because it's a game with shitty simplistic handling and mind numbingly boring tracks, it feels like a Wipeout knockoff made by another team rather than an actual Wipeout game
They need to focus more on the pilots and world
building in the next games. We need someone like Airal again. It would give the games more main stream appeal. We also need more than >5 tracks for a new game. On a latest forbes article a dev commented why old tracks from other wipeout games were not ported twitter.com
You posted it, particularly the NTSC and NTSC-J versions. 2097 is fucking amazing too though, hard to pick just one. I love Assegai, that ship handles so well
Manor Top is the best track in the series.
>mfw wipeout 3 music won't play when I'm emulating it
How are you this retarded?
Just use mednafen
>It's bretty gud but not as good as wipeout
It's literally wipeout3 but better
youtu.be
Best song coming through
i was late in the game - never grew up with PS1, only played some games in friend's house.
My absolute top is Pulse at 60fps (briefly tried the first one on emulator - not as gripping and controls feel sluggish af)
The only psp wipeout I played was pure and while I like it, it felt a bit too slow.
How does pulse play?
HD/Qirex
My favorite mode is Zone
fast, fluid (also better soundtrack).
It's an improvement over Pure in every way.
Imagine BallisticNG with WipeOut3-tier music
On a side note, how's Wipeout compare to F-Zero? I've only really played WipeOut much and missed out on F-Zero mostly because F-Zero GX emulates like shit.
The music is garbage and the ships are all lazy ripoffs, but otherwise it's ok, not worth 15 dollars desu
You don't need to imagine it, you can put in your own custom music.
Oh shit son you right. Thanks for the suggestion
Because Wipeout 3 is babby's first pleb opinion like parroting that Type 4 is the best Ridge Racer
You should throw your game away if you play this series with analog
They really aren't, there's no ships like Caliburn in Wipeouts for instance. But wut, the Wipeout games which have a tiny fraction of BNG's content/features are worth their price but BNG, a game that has most classic Wipeout content, its own content, user made content and modern features like online play isn't? I can't imagine what kind of nonsensical thought process you went through to come to that conclusion.
I haven't played any F-Zero games besides the original (which is pretty basic) but apparently GX is pretty much the hardest and fastest racing game ever made. I remember a while back trying to make threads for Wipeout Omega and getting bombarded with shitposting from F-Zero fans saying Wipeout was F-Zero for casuals.
Didn't read lol
>8 dollars
>allows custom music
>workshop and manual fownload mod support
>custom ships
>custom tracks
>120fps
Jesus dude what more do you need?
F-Zero GX story mode is pretty hard but if you've ever played sims or even arcade games for good times it will be nothing special. The high level play gets pretty crazy but it's also a glitchy mess that's hard to appreciate
Without and f zero aren't that simaler
F zero feels much more arcadey, not only in control but also tone and characters, the narrators feel straight out of an arcade cabinet like the way they say "You got boost power!" I really really like it.
Also, like the other user said gx is pretty tough, every player should learn how to quick turn to actually do well early on
This
Man that game had such cool art.
So I just found out the PS1 had system link. Has anyone ever used it?
No love for HD Fury? What about that custom soundtrack
2097 and AG Systems nigguh
Does 2097 have those Red Bull adverts everywhere
That was fucking stupid, how did they ever get away with it
It did have those billboards. It's the reason why Red Bull became so big, the game was kind of a leverage into american markets for Red Bull, prior to that it was pretty much unknown.
HD fury and 2048 shouldnt count since both of them are in the PS4 game
