Hey, Makoto, remember that time I tried to frame you for murder and almost killed you? Man...

Who cares, Makoto is an immortal being controlled by a literal alien from a higher dimension anyways.
she gives makoto special benefits to pay up for that time
She was trying to push Monokuma into a corner. Nobody expected him to say "lol time's up xD."
It was her fault! It's all because she was late for the trial in the first place!!
>tfw no cute detective gf who bosses you around all day but then gives you a gloveless handjob as a reward for your hard work
FUCK OFF MONOKUMA YOU NEVER SAID WE HAD TO BE ON TIME
Do you think Komaru, Kyoko, and Makoto would all be down to have fun together?
At least she was less malicious than this bitch.
cute!
where do the cute detective girls hang out?
One dimension down.
WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ME OUT? IS IT BECAUSE I'M UGLY? DEKOMARU IS UGLY TOO YOU KNOW!
Byakuya can keep her.
Baby, I want you for myself.
so what was she planning to do if makoto was actually killed
She wasn't planning on letting Makoto get killed.
Same shit she did with him I guess. though Junko would probably win by the end since he was the ultimate hope that connected the team or whatever
Any word if were even getting another Danganronpa?
Just let it end already
you want ANOTHER ONE?
God-tier taste.
Based
whoa that's good image
The art assets from the game depict buildings as flat sprites from that distance so we never got to see such renditions of distant archetecture. Very nice.
Also I fucking love Toko so god damn much.
Toko is pure, lovely wife material. I wanna give her a bath and smooch the nape of her neck, whispering sweetly in her ear while I cradle her in my arms, squeezing her tight.
Such a lovely woman, and she doesn't even know it.

Kirigiri loves someone else
>imagine getting cucked by a character from another franchise
Magnificent.
The only problem is I fear that growing attached to her would fulfill her needs, satisfying her ego--it's the cruel reality she lives that propels her to write, and it's through the tragedy of her life that she's become so talented. Surely I want her to realize my love, but at what cost would it be to her? Robbing her of her future as the world's premiere literary romantic novel writer? If I quell the undying embers of her anguish and fulfill her (as both of us undoubtedly want) then would she be able to channel her newfound romantic attachment into making her next novel? Everything she writes is wish-fulfillment for herself, if I make all of her dreams come true then she'll have to reach even further, or worse still she won't have any dreams left for her to imagine, for her to put to words and share with the world. I want her to shine brighter than the most brilliant star, but I want to be with her. I only fear that doing one would operate counter to the other.
I also wonder if I would be enough to satisfy her alter ego (let alone her regular personage considering her considerable attachment to another character). I don't want any of her to vanish, she's perfect as she is...but would being with her make her change for the worse?
what is this
The only canon Danganronpa ship
based
Is that Dante?
Creative endeavors are a great method of coping with stress and trauma however if her talent was writing it wasn't born out of her despair and anguish it was born from her massive well of creativity.
So it was all a TV show?

i want her to kiss me
S-stop!
excuse me, what the fuck is this?
>Hey Makoko, remember the time I redeemed myself by choosing to die for you but I was actually only pretending to be dead because I somehow found and identified the antidote for the special poison threatening all of our lives and didn't tell anyone else? That was wild, anyway let's get back to re-establishing the institution that's directly responsible for ruining our lives, killing our friends and ending the world as a result of the social hierarchy it promoted and enabled
Her true talent is SHSL Plot Armor
The true lesson of DR1 isn't about hope or despair, but instead that wimmins is poison.
The man himself
>let's get back to re-establishing the institution that's directly responsible for ruining our lives, killing our friends and ending the world as a result of the social hierarchy it promoted and enabled
Why did they do that again? You could say that maybe they're going to just run it like a regular school and not do all the talent stuff, but then what's the point of reopening that particular school?
fuck off, based Shuichi ended Danganronpa
t. Cuckhara
Probably Kyoko idea in order to keep his father legacy
And she put Makoto as headmaster so in case of a Junko Enoshima 2, he will die instead her
No, the games Danganronpa, Super Danganronpa 2, Ultra Despair Girls, and the anime adaptation Danganronpa 3, are fiction, and by extension, every character featured there is fictional (that means, your waifu is fiction, but you knew that)
On the other hand, Danganronpa V3, or 53, was a "real fiction" TV show, based on the original series featuring real people, but who at the same time, are also fiction in our reality
i want her to give me a hug too
>shuichi opens a portal to hell in chapter 2
She really didn't expect monokuma to end the trial, she thought she could back the mastermind into a corner by exposing them for breaking their rules, but was caught off guard.

Kyoko was Worst Girl.
nah it's just another day in his cucked life
Close, there's still Celeste.
Someone post that absolutely terrifying picture of ibuki standing in the hallway
Junko is still the best girl.
Fuck, silver-haired girls are so best.
Celeste at least has a good aesthetic even if she is a horrible liar.
And she wants to get fucked a whole lot. I can work with that.
those idiots are spoiling their own fucking game
Chiaki is literally Best Girl.
The only complaint people have about her is that she's too best and their pathetic waifus can't compete.
Can't be another day if they're dead
>Hey Makoto, do you wanna see my big bacon?
v3's story was set in a world where the danganronpa franchise became so popular that real life killing games were held.
Dr1 and 2 and their collective storyline is not meta fiction within themselves.
I LOVE TENKO
That's lavender, dumbass.
Why the fuck did they do this
Ah Kyoko. You were so boring up till the near end that I actually forgot you exist.
Chiaki is a good girl with big badonks but I'd rank her #4 wife material in DR2
based i love tenko too!
Chiaki was fucking dumb, I just can't a character called the 'ultimate gamer' seriously
jesus i remenber this creep me out
To spook the shit out of you
It's even worse because that's the last time you see her before she dies
>it's very crispy as well, just like my hands
>thinking Zeussu is actually dead
It's kinda fucked up that she basically dies as a completely different person from her regular self, too.
>high school with a 20 year-old headmaster
This already seems like a bad idea right out of the gate
She ain't dead tho.
DR3 isn't canon
Kirigiri is best girl in Danganronpa
Sonia is close second
Kaede, Chiaki, and Asahina are also neat
Thank you for coming to my tier list
Akane is worst character in series
Kaede definitely is though
oh yeaht he shitty anime
You are such a basic bitch.
>Akane is worst character in series
Peko exists.
Maki sucks
of course they'll keep it as a school for ultimates because of MUH HOPE
The OG headmaster in dr1 was only fucking 36! No wonder the whole place fell down
You know what?
This one bothers me less than the others. That said, its still cursed
Maki paired with Kaito fucking sucks and is the worst.
Maki and Shuichi paired together makes a surprising amount of sense.
What's wrong with Peko?
Everything in DR2 was experienced as reality.
Implying it didn't really matter because that reality was a virtual world is exactly like saying the entire series didn't matter because it was fiction.
To be fair, it was also left ambiguous whether or not the survivors could get their friends back to lifea nd with Hajime becoming a super genius, it makes sense
Ibuki's death was pretty twisted in every possible way. Bad part was the chapter being retarded. "Despair Disease" and Mikan shift in behavior to an even more unlikable bitch was enough for me to roll my eyes.
Peko doesn't waste the entire game having multiple plotlines and entire other characters set up for her to grow and failing to follow through on every single opportunity.
I understand but I was saying, if you like the character, she doesn't actually die.
I always felt the whole thing of directly fucking with Mikan's brain so that she'd murder somebody to be a pretty forced motive.
It is not cursed, it is blessed
>entire other characters set up for her to grow
I knew Akane had Nekomaru for that, but did she have anybody else?
What's your problem with Peko, retard
That entire chapter made me feel very uneasy too bad the trial was kind of a letdown
>Like gloved handjobs but wouldn't be able to tell Kirigiri this without her taking it personally
especially since you could just say that Mikan broke and wanted to kill. She's already fucking insane, you wouldn't even of needed a motive.
Mikan is the best girl of dr2 though
Wasn't he the ultimate headmaster anyway?
The current one isn't only in his 20, but he's also a manlet and his talent is the fucking luck
>Muh Basic
Imagine basing your opinions around being unique instead of what you truly know are the best
Peko is at least not a cancer on the class trials. the only time I can think Akane was useful in a class trial was accidental
Why was the trial a letdown?
out of anyones view because they are doing their job
It's amazing how each subsequent entry in Danganronpa made the story more fucking retarded. You had 1 not explaining how a teenager ended the world, then you had 3 saying that she wasn't even lying, then you had whatever the fuck UDG was, then dr3. Like what the fuck
>hurr lets kill another cute girl
>leaves all boring dudes alive
I don't get it, but then again, I played Danganronpa shitface drunk, so I was barely able to get through the game without vomiting.
>entire other characters
>one person
>implying cute girls dying horribly doesn't make them more endearing
It is literally forced, Monokuma forces motives in DR2 because unlike DR1 the purpose of the killing game isn't to prove a point to the audience, it's just to cull the number of students while operating within the hard limits of the "game."
He also has almost total knowledge of the whole cast, so even motives that aren't obviously forced are still specifically targeted.
I think in terms of non-protagonist survivors, female ones out weight male ones by quite a bit
The murder itself doesn't make sense. For it to work you would to have the notoriously clumsy Mikan kill Hiyoko, tie her up, conceal the crime scene, fudge the door, then run back to meet with Fuyuhiko all before Hajime arrives with the others which only took him a matter of moments.
And having the despair disease completely change Mikan's character into another one ridds the case of needed an interesting motive, which is a huge part of each trial.
It’s about Kyoko’s burned hands.
Real talk anons, when the fuck is the next Danganronpa game? Its to big for Chunsoft to give up on and I do not give a shit that Kodaka left. Maybe Dangan can pull a persona and become better under a new direction (but still with the basic premise)
Hell maybe it can even be a reboot and get an actual story instead of how one teenager ended the world with negativity.
That's the thing, Nekomaru had such a strong prescience that he was like multiple people.
Also, he deserved the survivor spot way more than Akane, but then so did most characters.
Her hands have burneds
It was forced. The entire concept of Despair Disease was retarded and would've worked better if they had a better motivator to perfectly show the view of "Everyone is an animal waiting to come out." and unleashing it properly in a way that doesn't feel forced and out of place. Not a Hiyoko fag, but she got the Ishimaru treatment and was thrown under the bus after being near the point of fulling evolving as a character, which adds onto the problem of the chapter already.
See what I'm getting at? I would honestly say DR2 is solid all around if Chapter 3 didn't exist. Hell, DR1's variant was horrible but it makes Celestia's motivation to do what she did more noble than "hehe I was just a crazy bitch exposed using nip writing!"
DR has rough writing overall but this is one of the highlights of the game. It's funny how people take Kyoko's actions so personally.
It's very obvious that this scene was is meant to put her character in internal conflict. She lived a life of cut-throat objectivity and closed off emotionally because she only saw the worst in people. Makoto started to win her over by being a friendly dope, behavior that she considers dangerous, but the results of his kindness start to soften her. And right as her guard is dropped she has to choose either defeating the villain or saving her dopey friend. I thought her line, something like "I don't expect you to forgive me" was well done and understated. They didn't have a massive out of character breakdown.
For Makoto, his character revolves around a simple faith in humanity. Having the character you are coached to trust the most betray you (in a narratively justified manner) is good drama.
Kyoko's capacity to make difficult sacrifices for greater good, even one that clearly offends part of the audience, is based. She's almost the hero for a lot of the story, and heroes that can't act logically are annoying as fuck. She isn't the one to let a villain escape a million times. All this about her is blazingly obvious. Her costume design is hiding a body mutilated by her work. And to the extent that she's unpleasantly cold, she realizes it's a character flaw by the example of Makoto and seems moved to grow beyond that.
A lot could have been done better in DR, but with Kyoko is one of the reasons DR is worth playing.
i would love kyoko despite her physical flaws
Death March Club is literally Danganronpa Kidz, so 2020.
How about the full thing?
It will probably take at least another year for Spike to acquire both the people and the balls to make another after the creator left. But I imagine such a profitable series won't stay dead for long.
What is the TFR lore for this
I didn't read DR0 or DR Kirigiri, they mentioned exactly why her hands ended like this?
God imagine the texture of Kiyoko's burnt hands as she sensually caressing your body
It is in V3
More noble? it's was the least noble motive in any of the games. She wanted to kill because she didn't care about any of her fellow students and she wanted quick cash.
Though that motive is great in creating more distrust and intrigue within the game and generally serves the plot fantastically, still not noble
What confused me about Mikan was that right before case 2, while you're chilling in the diner waiting for the girls to go to the beach, Mikan snaps at one point and says some pretty insane shit (I don't really remember), but it's just one line and nobody even acknowledged it during or after that part.
>when the fuck is the next Danganronpa game?
Never.
>Its to big for Chunsoft to give up on
They did. Someone on the team said that they rather make a new Zanki Zero than DR.
>Maybe Dangan can pull a persona and become better under a new direction
You can’t really do much with the concept though without it becoming stale. Kodaka was lucky that he made a good reason for repeating plotlines.
Tomodachi Offseason. Dante became Kirigiri's husband. Also the guy on the right is "Chat's self-insert" that OP made by taking random numbers from the chat
>Kidz
which takes a lot of the fun out of it imo but I will be giving it a shot
The recent off-season took place on the Cope Island, on Tomodachi Life engine, cause XCOM an hero’d itself. At one of the streams Richtofen, Dante and the avatar of Chat scored very high on the love scale with Kirigiri, while OP scored a whopping 4%. Hence, this.
>a new Zanki Zero
they wanr even a BIGGER bomb?
That doesn’t sound nice but if I got to put my peeeeenus weenis in her vagoo hole I’ll take a rough hand job
Good post
That's a great post I'm saving it
Nobody knows because they stopped translating DR:K past vol 2
>playing a story-heavy VN/mystery game shit face drunk
are you by any chance a retard?
it was all fiction
what the fuck is tfr
V3 isn't even set in the same universe as DR3
The whole case is a shitshow. Mikan is suspicious from the start and there's so much pointing to her it quickly becomes obvious (the crime scene is hot specifically so she can't determine time of death, Nagito questions her about the rope for no apparent reason (so obviously there's something more to it), one victim was under her care and the other is one she would have a personal vendetta against (even though that doesn't play into the case)) up to when Chiaki discovers the dark room in the hospital which decisively narrows down the list of suspects to just Hajime or Mikan. The crime scene being tampered with requires Mikan to have ran back and forth across the island, setting it all of it up, meeting with Fuyuhiko at the bridge and running over to meet Hajime at the motel in the span of less than 10 minutes, something so implausible that she herself points it out 20 minutes into the Trial (a "joke" implicating herself which is already obviously out of character but nobody reacts to). Hiyoko's murder gets so little thought or attention that they never even establish a murder weapon. Mikan herself just becomes a plot device to hint at what's really going on here, which is sort of an improvement, but to top it all off she has probably the most disappointing execution in the series.
I still can't believe DR2 had the balls to kill off FIVE girls in a row
Well no shit, every protagonist is a male.
Including them it's a 50/50 split.
based
>Someone on the team said
The developers aren't in full control on what they make. Eventually Spike's higher-ups and shareholders will get new people with new ideas about how to make a new DR game
DR1 would have been better if Kyoko was the protagonist because Makoto stops being interesting after Chapter 1.
Nurse waifu
I want to lay naked on the floor of her house, I know that eventually she'll slip and fall right on me, her heavy thighs weighing me down, but she'll do whatever I say. That's when her thighs squeeze the poop out of me, she wants me to be clean so she eats it all up, then let's me play human bowling with her
no one wants to play as a fucking girl, makoto is fine
90% of people who like Mukuro only like her because they are contrarian spergs.
Makoto's the player character, but Kyoko's the main character.
Still better than whatever the fuck Mikan was on. If I were, say, proposed with the chance similar to hers, I would 100% kill for the money. Its definitely relatable because its a fucking killing game, the reason why people kill is for a motivation, whenever "noble" or not. I find it noble in a sense because at fucking least she had a objective and sought through with it no matter what.
Compare that to Mikan, who didn't have any of that in mind. It got a already meh character and threw her entire personality in the trash, not that she was some sort of martyr of writing to begin with. She was effectively a mindless bitch inside a husk who did what she did because "haha, Despair Disease!"
tl;dr Chapter 3 sucks and Mikan by extension sucks. Only legit reason to even like her is because she's a crazy bitch.
Mikan was already unstable, the Despair Disease just reverted her to who she became after Junko took advantage of that instability to break her.
As generally kind and cooperative as the DR2 cast is, almost all of them have obvious personal flaws and insecurities that in hindsight you can see how Junko could have broken them. Or maybe she just locked them all in a basement and made them watch BRAINWASHING ANIME
naw it's just her design, she's cute and short hair and freckles are hot. I'm not gonna pretend she's a good character or anything
She basically is anyways.
Sure, but she didn't revert until chapter 3. Except for that one line in chapter 2 that everyone forgets. I'll try to look for it.
It’s been 3 years and I don’t think you can new one after V3 makes a joke about how excited people are to see teenagers kill each other. The most we might get is DR2 anime but it’s unlikely
REALISTICALLY what are the chances that Kirigiri is a pure virgin?
Having the Player character always have a plan and be the ones finding information would ruin the pacing and drama of DR1
I think she's a lot cuter than Junko at least. She's kind of like DR1 Toko if she was a quiet girl archetype instead of a maniac.
in danganronpa 2 they specifically state that they were all brainwashed, I think watching an anime is dumb but what else can you do
>Genocider will never do weird tongue things to you
I know that's why I said that the motive was better in my post that you didn't fully read.
Also Mikan is a good character only because she's cute.
I disagree. The first stretch of the game her motives are kept opaque and the mystery about her is part of the fun. Also Makoto's simplicity only works as a self insert for the player. Also the game is built on numerous rug pulls, starting with your assistant trying to murder you, then you becoming the assistant.
thanks user
>pretending Mukuro is good after DR3
None. She probably took dick to solve cases.
Plus, her dad's friend Kizakura probably fucked her too.
It's been three years? fuck. But still I stand by my previous statement
Chihiro getting killed in chapter 2 probably spared him a much worse death
100% pre DR1, 50/50 after working with Makoto on cases.
she's just like 16, and not a very social person. I'd say 100%
I know what you're talking about, when Ibuki and Mikan run into Hajime and Soda Mikan says something like "I've got you" or "You can't run from me" with a crazy-voice line "YOU'RE DONE FOR!" that she doesn't use again until her BTB.
It's just the mask slipping, you could call it foreshadowing I guess but she was already established as manic and weird and potentially dangerous, like how she talks about needles in the pharmacy or if you clear her FTEs you even get her empty eyes sprite and she implicitly threatens you.
How I acknowledged it fully well. While the chapter also sucked I can at least get behind Celestia's drive. Still think its noble in a "I can respect that given the cirumstance." way,
it is not where am I makoto.
it is when am I
Brainwashing doesn't mean hypnosis, it can also mean that the cast's faults were gradually manipulated into becoming brainwashed
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks.
Yeah I here ya. Shame Celeste's motive had to be at the end of the worst case of the game. BUt whatever
Personally I didn't like the motive for it since it was the least personal motivation for killing in the entire series since if literally any of the characters had been made to remember they were remnants of despair, they'd have killed as many as they could for Junko's plan.
I get that its to hint for the underlying reveal of the game, but every other murder in the series is personally motivated which was always one of the more interesting parts of trials for me.
Mikan is an exaggerated form of crazy that I saw in my ex. She's one of the few DR2 characters that feel like an exaggeration of something real instead of just being wildly strange.
I still don't even get how it works, I had just assumed that junko was so charismatic that they followered her. not actual brainwashing, like nagito basically says he followed junko voluntarily in UDG
A reboot would be pretty cool and pretty much necessary at this point unless they do something like a large time skip.
I didn't say she was good, I said she was cute.
Brainwashed doesn't only literally mean mind-controlled. In Ultra Despair Girls you have the Warriors of Hope being figuratively brainwashed by Junko (and Monaca). They're given false hope, made dependent on her, indoctrinated into glorifying her and dehumanizing their enemies. Questioning authority and deviating from their ideals is met with severe psychological trauma to recondition them and keep them in line. That's "brainwashing," social control and indoctrination, desensitizing to violence and horror, classic cult stuff.
Then there's the Monokuma kids, who just have mind-control helmets on. That's also "brainwashing," but not at all the same thing and really not an acceptable way to develop your established characters when you've demonstrated you as a writer are capable of so much better.
Stuff like this is why Kodaka is a hack.
today I will remind them
You could even just remake DR1 with extra content, maybe like a mode where you as the player become the blackened.
Maybe you could have alternate scenarios where who gets killed can change, the unimportant ones anyway.
It wouldn't be to hard to re write some parts of the game to have Leon survive instead of Yasuhiro, or Have Toko fall in love with Makoto instead of Byakuya if the player does her FTE's.
>you as a player become the blackened
This could've been cool in a spinoff or something. In DR2, Nagito talks about how some mystery novels, if written well, can pull off the protagonist being the killer all along without the reader knowing it until the end.
>tfw Hajime was a killer all along
nope, in the anime junko just framed him lel. fuck DR3
I'm adding on to my own idea.
How about you could have a chance that in a game Sayaka could succeed in her attemped murder, and maybe Celeste could only kill Hifumi if you hang out with Taka or somthin
Charisma is exactly the justification they give in DR2. Ultimate Despair were framed as the elite members of Junko's cult of personality. Not just the biggest goons she arbitrarily fed to her hypno-screen.
Danganronpa 0 (which predates DR2) has a scene where some Reserve Course students are being "brainwashed" more in the DR3 sense, forced to sit and watch footage of the Student Council Killing Game (which was incredibly graphic, more than is portrayed in DR3 or just "Izuru killed them all") after being told how Hope's Peak took the money they paid and used it to create Izuru, the monster (allegedly) responsible for the massacre. They're desensitized to violence and horror, indoctrinated by Junko, and given a common enemy. It's more than just making them meat puppets but it's "plausible" enough that the people forced to experience this could be pushed to riot and rampage against Hope's Peak.
It's hard to imagine that Danganronpa's sales won't force their hand eventually. They're not going to make Zanki Zeroes forever.
I still don't get the the appeal of Kirigiri to her fans. I mean Maki I can get but Kyoko's pretty much a shitty person that uses anyone and everyone to further her agenda of pursuing the truth or whatever she calls it. Like, where's the dere part of her act. She's all bitchy all the time. I mean I guess if your fetish is getting a handjob from a bacon then I can understand.
ok who is drawing this
fanmade crossovers seem very autistic
Smart girl = best girl. Always and forever.
>Dante
>Having Sex
He's just there for free pizza and sundaes
but Kirigiri's canonically not even the smartest girl in the series. She's best at detecting sure but not smart. If I recall Izuru is the smartest followed by Junko.
Why are you guys shilling this game so much lately? It's mediocre.
Not even a Kyokofag, but you're wrong.
Smart as in able to piece shit together. Being the non-retard in a room full of retards got her a lot of points.
She's not doing everything in order to pursue the truth, she does it so that the cast has a chance of not dying horribly. And even then it's not like she does anything particularly wrong in order to achieve that
Just make spin-offs. The series is done and compiling more shit onto of the established lore is dumb. I rather have a Danganronpa 2D fighter or Kart Racer then another complicated nip plot. All I want from the series is 1-V3 on Switch. Some games are better left with just 3 games. (Mother is good example)
>Smartest girl in the series is Izuru
>shilling
yeah everyone discussing a series that hasn't had a release in two years must be shills
>She's one of the few DR2 characters that feel like an exaggeration of something real
They're all that. You just haven't known enough crazy people.
Best girl.
Well he is the Ultimate Princess
I played it with friends and the story didn't hook me, so I resorted to alcohol and it instantly became better not knowing what the hell was going on.
Consider the following
>If it was all fake, why didnt pre memory altering Shuichi, a self proclaimed huge fan, recognize Rantaro (The past WINNER of Danganronpa 52) in the pre demo/tutorial trial thing before their memories were added?
> Tsumugi says she is copying someone and calls herself the cosplay cat criminal. This is never explained.
>The audition tapes floor is identical to the stage in Tsumugis talent lab
>pre-fake memory clearly introduces himself as Shuichu Saihara yet in his audition tape his name is blocked out. There is no reason for this if his name was never changed.
>it shows the pre fake Kaede being kidnapped, this directly contradicts Tsumugis account.
All these things dont mean much on their own but together is big evidence that at the very least, Tsumugi is not telling the truth about something.
to be fair, Togami and Naegi are not part of the retard squad
>she does it so that the cast has a chance of not dying horribly
but this is wrong, she KNEW that Naegi wasn't the blacked but she lets the trial reached that conclusion so that she can keep pursuing her objective. She's just lucky that at that trial Junko cheated and puts all the blame on Naegi because by the rules the everyone else should die as well.
Izuru is Ultimate Everything. He's at the same time a man and a girl.
>"Hey Aoi would you like more donuts? I made sure to get all of your favorites." "Say how about we go out for Ramen tonight, I let you order the large bowl!"
If we're going by actually demonstrated intelligence instead of just "lol Ultimate Analyst" the smartest would be Nagito and Monaca
The implications of Izuru being the ultimate everything is actually pretty funny
Wheres the art of Ultimate Pop Sensation Izuru?
they could have easily just erased their memories of rantaro before wiping everything else if they're as advanced as we think, rantaro himself also had no idea where he was or what was going on
I haven't played UDG so I don't know about Monaca but Nagito is less smart and more 'anything I plan will work because lucc'
Togami being a prick was annoying, but he grew on me by the end. I also don't have anything against Naegi.
What the fuck could Kyoko of done when Makoto was found guilty. she sure as hell never expected that what could she do, confess to what she didn't commit? It's not like she deliberately chose to abandon Makoto.
>rantaro himself also had no idea where he was or what was going on
Doesnt that go against his reward of memory for winning the past game?
and like i said, even if we are generous and assume that is that way all the other evidence proves that tsumugi was lying about something
Also, Kyoko didn't expect Junko to just say "lol time's up." That trial was supposed to back the mastermind into a corner and prove it wasn't any of the students still alive.
>Hey, Kyoko, remember how you and Byakuya kept treating me like I was mentally disabled half the time? Despite me constantly introducing info neither of you knew because I was a nosy and *talked* to everyone instead of moodily lurking around?
shut the fuck up and explain some vague concept to the others naegi
he didn't know anything until he got his handbook or whatever it was called in V3, where he got the video he recorded and the map of the school
A big problem was Togami, had he stood quiet, Kyoko could've confessed after they all voted Makoto, forcing a sitatuation were Junko has to let the trial continue or kill everyone but Kyoko.
DR1 in two posts.
It's almost like Kodaka purposefully wrote the game to constantly contradict itself
But copycat crimes include copying crimes found in fiction.
Thats true, but still doesnt explain everything else
thefinalrumble on twitch. Vidya wrestling, new season starts on Friday.
>Togami being a prick was annoying, but he grew on me by the end
he's the embodiment of 'they hate him for telling the truth' nad that's why he is based
>What the fuck could Kyoko of done when Makoto was found guilty.
Protest the result? In any case the argument here is not about how Kirigiri is smart but just me not understanding how can people like a girl that has already been proven to put your life below her pursue of truth (though I do love her instant noodle hat sprite). Naegi is a pushover even when it comes to his life, he literally only lives because of his protagonist luck.
I don't know why you are all still talking about this series. It all never happened. it was a fake tv show.
>It was all a dream:The game
>he still doesn't understand V3
this is why I keep coming to these threads, there are always this kind of post
>Hey Kyoko, Hey Naegi. Remember that time I had way more more than you two, so much in fact that even if you put all the money you two will ever earn into a pile, it still wouldn't equate to half of one of my credit cards? I remember that time because that time is today and tommorow and the rest of our lives
>He still keeps defending Kodaka
Absolutely brainlet
It's only meta-fiction in v3. DR1, 2, UDG and 3 all were real within their own story.
why are you fattening up Aoi? Don't you know how scared she is of being fat?
->
>to be fair, Togami and Naegi are not part of the retard squad
Isn't it funny how a group comprised solely of "Ultimates" is so dumb? This is the best the country can produce? Maybe there is no hope for the future.
Togami is basically just dub Seto Kaiba in that he's a humongous asshole who you enjoy for being an asshole.
Kinda fucked up he gets away with messing with Chihiro's corpse for funsies, though.
Nagito is at least one step ahead of everyone else during DR2, he's even able to catch Monokuma off-guard at least once (and this is "Junko AI with everyone's personal data in her brain" Monokuma). It's not just his planning, he solves every investigation first and is constantly leading everyone else into his deductions. And his big scheme still "works" without any element of luck (which draws suspicion that something fucked up is going on in the Trial), the luck element is just hoping that the result goes the way that he wanted it to. The plan itself still resulted in an unsolvable crime - in fact they're only able to come to a conclusion and thwart his plan on the basis of Nagito being lucky and getting the outcome he'd hoped for.
>This is the best the country can produce
They never said they were the best at everything, only the best at their specific talent. The "Best a country can produce" would probably be a more well rounded build instead of putting all their points into one skill
Being the "Ultimate (Insert Talent Here)" doesn't mean being smart. It just mean being good at that talent. Presumably you could have a talent like the Ultimate Narcoleptic or something.
Exactly the point. Once she's fat she'll think that being with me would be the only way she could be loved and so I could ensure that she would stay with me forever
EXPLANATIONMIND
By your logic we can't talk about Super Mario Bros 2 because "HAHA IT NEVER HAPPENED DREAAAAAM!".
Go back to playing something boring like Steins;Gate tranny. This Visual Novel is for real men.
>Isn't it funny how a group comprised solely of "Ultimates" is so dumb? This is the best the country can produce?
your premise is already wrong. Being an Ultimate does not mean best at everything but best at that specific thing they do. If a swimmer is as dumb as a brick in solving a math problem then the country won't have her compete in a math problem The country needs her for her swimming skill and vice versa.
They only solved the chapter 5 trial because Chiaki did her thing.
>Once she's fat she'll think that being with me would be the only way she could be loved and so I could ensure that she would stay with me forever
Or, and this is a big or, work to make yourself better and worthy of someone like Asahina.
This is exactly why I started studying and being healthier after becoming a high school dropout because if I want someone at this high of a standard I also need to match it
>more noble
It's literally the only murder motive in the series that's 100% selfish
There is always someone better, whomever you'll find will just cheat behind you
why the fuck is monaca there.
Why does it take a lot of the fun out of it?
Fuck nigger I blocked that out. I didn't even remember that shit until now.
her older brother is a self confessed pedo. connect the dots
>whomever you'll find will just cheat behind you
This isnt true, and if I did get with someone who I liked a lot and they cheated on me since I am worth more after putting work in to become better I would find someone else I can love. It would hurt being betrayed like that but fear is the heart of love. You have to be willing to face the fear of trusting others and putting yourself out there.
Move on to victory because empathy is for the weak and stupid.
>had the balls to kill off FIVE girls in a row
DR1 kills off five boys in a row and nobody gives it shit for it
Because as a teenager (im 18 jannies dont ban me) I get more immersed and care more about the characters when its people around my age in the game rather than a bunch of 10 year olds.
If you read my other response, I already explained why I think its noble. She had a drive and she sought to it. Its noble in terms of respecting the cold hearted attitude given the gravity of the killing game concept.
Which begs the question I already agreed with. Would you honestly do the same as Celestia, knowing full well the money could be yours? Of course I would but that's another thread for another day.
>adoptive brother is a pedophile
>brother and father did something to her bad enough that she ended up paralyzed from the waist down or could plausibly fake it
>mentored by Junko Enoshima
>manipulates Kotoko by invoking her rape trauma without flinching
>manipulates Nagisa by sticking her tongue down his throat, commenting that she knows he has "naughty thoughts" about her and offers to do "other things" for him as long as he stays in line
They never explicitly connect the dots but, you know
Yeah but only one of those boys were cute
You would? Fucker 10 million ain't even worth a nice apartment in New York
Not that guy but 10 million can easily last a lifetime, why would anyone blow it on living in a shithole like New York?
Obvious bait that people fall for every time?
Yeah and considering the fact that the world is destroyed, buying a house would be a lot more expensive due to inflation, let alone a mansion with hot vampire butlers
No you fucking retard that is not what "noble" means at all unless you are trying to refer to the aristocratic class which I guess her owning a castle makes her a part of. You can't just redefine words to mean what you want them to mean because then you're just yet another stupid motherfucker vomiting garbage that means nothing onto this shithole of a website. Go to a fucking dictionary right now and read the definition for "noble" then come back here and apologize for having so little gray matter inside your dense skull that I had to type up a fucking explanation to something that even children can understand.
I'd hate to be the Ultimate Patient, or Ultimate Burn Victim
I don't know if its true, but I remember reading that the japanese equivalent was 100m
What would be a reliable way to not get killed? Being friends with everyone seems to work but also being an idiot seems to work.
>(im 18 jannies dont ban me)
Actually, that money would be kinda worthless, since you either squat or live in a secure camp due to the despair
>Would you honestly do the same as Celestia
No, her plan was retarded
why is the blood pink? also I heard this is a dating sim but I play as a girl on the third game? can I be lesbian then?
Hifumi, right?
To be fair, Nagito isn't leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the DR2 cast when it comes to problem solving and logic. He's just very good at putting himself in a position to get more information than anyone else. I'm pretty sure in every single chapter he has some advantage during the investigation that Hajime and co. don't.
Have somebody die for you
>pink blood
Stylistic choice
>dating sim
There's stuff like that at the end of the game
>lesbian
Get out before spoilers.
Nah, I rather watch you seethe because you basically didn't sit down and somewhat understood the message I'm trying to convey. Dilate.
You can easily live off 10 mill. Just don't be a dumbass and spend accordingly. Even if the apartment was shit at least I have the bank to never even step outside for nothing.
Blood is pink for stylistic reasons
>also I heard this is a dating sim but I play as a girl on the third game? can I be lesbian then?
Yes and yes
now get the fuck out of this thread and play the game before things get spoiled
The majority of murders could have been avoided by following the rule "don't go anywhere alone, especially at night and/or at the request of a suspicious note."
Absolute brainlet opinion. Makoto is a messiah and like Christ, he forgives.
What the fuck is this barbarian hollering even supposed to fucking mean. Your IQ is so fucking low that there is literally a language barrier between us. Are you retarded? That's a serious question, I feel like the fucking obelisk in 2001 watching literal fucking apes begin to comprehend their own intelligence.
This is, by a wide margin, the most cringe-worthy post I've seen all day. Mega Cringe.
Reminder to play Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
But then there's also the nullshit
>kill or starve/die
bullshit monokuma would pull.
Fucked up how the people who were twisted into Ultimate Despair used to be noble enough that even knowing absolutely everything about them and being able to predict their actions down to how they'd react to her lines, Junko could only squeeze two proper murders out of them before she had to resort to literal brainwashing and starvation to keep their game going.
Kodaka’s working in another studio now. We might see another installment later down the road but in the meantime he’s focused on newer IPs
By the time he's actually established as headmaster, he's probably in his late 20's. Not that it's much better
Aa a fan of Danganronpa, should I watch the anime? I've heard that it was bad, isn't canon, etc. Did they retcon anything?
And are the novels worth reading too?
somehow this doesn't seem accurate
That is part of why she chose them, powerful hope blooms even more power despair and vice versa or something like that
>anime
Its canon, people just dont want it to be because it has some pretty glaring flaws. But if you are a danganronpa fan you should watch it to get a bigger picture of the background surrounding events it gives.
the DR3 (not v3) anime is fucking terrible
it doesn't even have trials in the murder half of the series it's just people killing each other
motives include "stop having diabetes you cunt" and "killing all sad people, now that's true hope"
the only thing they didn't fuck up was Nagito in the DR2 half
>Protest the result?
And how would that change anything?
I want more detective games damnit
The anime was a mistake, canon or not. Don't watch it.
>And how would that change anything?
no idea but it would at least show that Kirigiri care about Naegi
no he's not. Nagito never has to think or strategize anything. All he has to do is want to do something and it'll achieve his desired result because of his luck. He literally lives a perfect life and the downside is just that it works in a monkey paw sort of fashion and even that it's to everyone else but him. Even in the first case his plan is for someone to get killed regardless of whom and how it happened. He survived because of his luck (again)
I don't get why they unironically had shonen-style fights in the Future Arc, in an anime based off of a fucking mystery VN. I know in DR1 and 2 they had "fight scenes" but those were almost always intentionally hammy and played up for laughs, and never directly shown because fighting isn't the point of the series, yet in Future Arc you have people turning into monsters and using muh mechanical katanas and its played completely straight, it's awful.
DR3 sucks because it miserably fails to deliver on the potential for a grand finale that the games had set up. It doesn't outright retcon anything too important but what it does elaborate on is almost always more disappointing than whatever you had imagined. It wastes a ton of time on original characters who are almost all either unlikable or get killed off right away and don't contribute anything of value.
It's not entirely awful, some parts are plenty entertaining (intentionally or not) and there's even some genuinely cool scenes and characterization for some who needed it (like the Imposter), but as a whole if you're not the kind of person who can take the good from the bad and value different parts of a series separately you'd run the risk of feeling the whole series is ruined from a bad ending.
But even that's not actually true since it's the last thing before V3 which is a separate thing altogether.
As far as novels go Danganronpa 0 is pretty good, Ultra Despair Hagakure is neat and the rest is basically fanfiction. I'd recommend reading DR0 before watching DR3 so you can get more insight into Junko and Mukuro's characterization and also be disappointed when DR3 completely ignores all of it.
>I don't get why they unironically had shonen-style fights in the Future Arc
>he STILL doesn't understand V3
Jfc
I think that's just a result of the severely limited amount of time they had to actually deliver a ton of exposition, character development, and a full story conclusion to the saga set up by DR1 and DR2. I seriously think Despair Arc should've been an entire multi-season series on its own, given the proper time needed to depict the DR2 gang becoming tight friends and then being slowly and gradually picked apart and distanced one-by-one by Junko in a very heartbreaking manner instead of "LOL IT WAS ALL JUST BRAINWASHING COURTESY OF MY EPIC ANIMATOR OC".
>Nagito never has to think or strategize anything
There are exactly three times in DR2 where Nagito actively counts on his luck to go his way, and out of those times only once was it absolutely critical to his goal and went his way (the Russian Roulette).
If he hadn't been picked for cleaning duty he would have found another way to start the killing, or simply waited another day for another chance. He says as much to Teruteru and the others when he's explaining himself after the Trial. The result wasn't the outcome he really wanted - he expected to be killed by Teruteru, and if not he'd have just killed someone in the dark and did his best to make the Trial a challenge. The outcome he wanted was to become a martyr for Hope.
Likewise in his final scheme, the only element of luck was the double-blind selection of the Blackened. He got the killer he wanted, but not the result - they gave themselves up for the sake of the group, which wasn't what he wanted or expected. If Nagito had his way Ultimate Despair would have died on the island, because he doesn't believe in their redemption (see Mikan's case).
>the series was supposed to be getting worse on purpose!
shut up idiot
>If he hadn't been picked for cleaning duty he would have found another way
but he did, see that's the thing about luck: There is no other way, there is only the one way
>imagine liking the character known virtually solely through supplementary material to the main-series games
>Mukuro
know this was intentional, but still a real fucking dick move on behalf of the visual designers
t. Mahirushitter
>Determined
>Intelligent
>Objective
>Conscious
>able to warm up if invested in
Seems rather good to me.
What does my wife have to do with this?
I love Ibooky!
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu.
What about him?
>Would you kill two people and bet your life on the best detective in the world, a rich genius, Mr. Luck, and some others NOT figuring out who did it?
Why does this game make fun of otaku that much anyway
t. Byakuya Togemi
they need to port the danganronpa trilogy to switch and xbox one. then like half a year later come out saying dr4 is in development. i think a good approach would be the same premise, but getting away from the retarded hope vs despair stuff, hopes peak. also breaking some molds like chapter 3 double murder, chapter 4 big character dies, chapter 5 who and how the fuck died etc.
I agree, the "x happens in chapter y" each time is very bad imo and should not have been done in any game beyond 2.
Its self deprecation humor
It's for otaku, made by otaku, and otaku, because of their low self-esteem ( probably a side effect of what made them otaku ), like self-depreciating humor.
Because it's funny
>Himiko
>Doesn't know what sex is
In the bonus dating sim mode she likes reading dirty doujins
Also love hotel
on the bone meat
Yeah but every day you get to wake up to the smell of bacon.
