You got your franchises mixed up user, they already said they aren't cutting any and just adding more.
They did at one point honestly. Level-5 did what Level-5 does best by creating a super marketable brand, letting it take off and soar, then over saturating the market with garbage until everyone is absolutely sick of it.

No. Of course it fucking didn't. Why do people keep asking if something that didn't make anywhere near as much money somehow had a chance of displacing something that made more money than God? We can clearly see that it didn't stand a chance - YKW, despite having interesting games, was a passing fad. Pokemon is here to stay for another ten generations, or until it somehow magically stops printing money. Whichever comes first.
