It's dead, Jim. Cherish what you have. That's all you're going to get.

Its not fair

Is orbital bombardment underutilized in 40k? Not Exterminatus but just glassing a small portion of the surface from an orbiting fleet.

Just play Dawn of War with Ultimate Apocalypse. Most complete 40k experience you'll ever get in a game

It gets written about far more in 30k than 40k at least but in 40k fighting is often done over the Imperiums own terrain and it's rather counterproductive to bombard your own industrial centres if you're intending to keep them.

Yeah. But if it's already up to Gargaunts and Squiggoths or however they are supposed to be spelled I think it's time to just nuke everything from orbit.

You're even more cancerous than undertalefags you don't deserve anything good and I hope your series get shat on as much as possible.

Why?

>modern
What does this mean?
Do we need another 40k RTS?
All the originals need is a bit more of a playerbase. Functionally they're fine and people love them. All that needs changing is a pathing/unit clog fix.
Why do you want to threaten their communities even more?

>outdated good
>new bad

>tfw DoW 3 could have been good with expansions and more factions but now we'll never know

Your words not mine.
Define outdated btw.

Having to buy an old clunky game that runs like shit on modern rigs and slapping mods upon mods on it just to play online with a really small playerbase. Thats as outdated as it gets

Sad that they never made a second Dawn of War game.

dow2 came out 10 years ago

I think i enjoy painting 40k minis more than i enjoy playing with them.
if only i was good at painting and didn't destroy brushes all the time.

i doubt it given what they delivered, it's like saying it would be good if only they had done almost everything differently

>old
So?
>clunky
Huh?
>slapping mods upon mods on it just to play online
That's a service issue and doesn't require making an entirely new game to remedy.

I don't care about DoW2.

so fuck off

Oh so you actually dont know a single thing of what youre talking about, gotcha

Titanshit belong in apocalypse, 40k is skirmish size and rules are made with meq size units

Are titans that hard to deal with?
Tallarn Baneblades sound harder to deal with

I miss playing the last stand mode

It could have been its own game

Titans are pretty much unkillable

I want something world in conflict's size and scope, but 40k. I don't like that in dawn of war 1 screen full of units is like fifty dudes.

Apoc is like the tabletop on roids, it takes all the fun out of everything because every other unit is some super OP game ending death machine.

That makes me feel bad for buying one.
I guess I'll just field it when someone else fields theirs.

>GWS has been around for eons
>40k has been around for decades
>There has been scores of representations of 40k in books, games and videos
>Some dude in his basement did it better than all of them combined
youtube.com/watch?v=g-MteECxZUY

Fuck me if there was a posterchild of wasted potential its 40k

Try to fight against that guy fielding 2 or 3 of them. I'll give you 100 internets for downing just one.
They also look dumb lorewise, why would you risk landraiders (that can't be replaced because they fucking lost the plans) and marines when these fuckers are around, or why would knights house send their shit on 1000 pts orc army

Bear with me here. Cover-based, kinda like CoH or DoW 2 tactical RTS focused around skirmish battles and customizable squads. Like you decide equipment of each soldier and what not. With global TBS campaign scenario with some big brain decision. Like new X-com, but with real time battles and no timer.
You have entire sector to preserve or fuck up. Two factions with a lot of subfaction within.

It's a good RTT that allows you to look at pretty models and play dress-up, though.

>dat pure battle focus from part 4
busted a nut when they killed the xenos

yea shit was so fun

>still no good modern 40k games period besides maybe Mechanicus and Regicide
FTFY

>its only ever a minute long with months and months of waiting
WHY IS THE GOD EMP SO CRUEL

I'll keep shilling for gothic armada 2 as long as you fags keep ignoring it

They are shiiiiiit ok

First game have some horrible missions. How is second game?

Is there a good video game version of the tabletop game?

kinda better, escort missions aren't as terrible as in the first one (dropped it because of one)
it kinda gets repetitive because there is only two modes: points capture or destruction but there was a recent patch that mixed things up to diversify situation (like a convoy passing through the battlefield and that you must protect in order to get ressources, or a enemy blocade that is preventing your fleet to be properly deployed so that you have to capture a point who is deep in enemy territory)
Also the campaign turned into a mini 4X were you capture systems and sectors and upgrades planets to get more ressources to get more fleet and so on
very solid stuff
Plus I can play with the mechanicus and I love those sweet nerds and their nova cannons/spoiler]

I think tabletop simulator has 40k figs in it

>tfw in some other timeline Dark Millennium Online got a full release
>tfw some other version of you got to experience playing a black templar fighting side by side with your imperial brethren against the forces of chaos and the unwashed F2P hordes of brazilian ork boyz while titans tear shit up over head
ITS NOT FUCKING FAIR

This is an off-topic thread. If you want to discuss 40k go to /tg/

>kinda better, escort missions aren't as terrible as in the first one
I think i drop first one, because data extraction mission. Which is game of hot potato. The only thing i remember about escort is how enemy just run the ships at full speed.
>very solid stuff
Sounds fun. But the price tag is kinda killer. And they also sell chaos as DLC. Again.

Talking about games here u retard

we're talking about 40K videogames go back jerking off to a smash thread because they've announced OCdonutsteal#2225 or whatever o the switch you fucking drone

Yea Forums is good for threads about anything other than video games.
If you weren't fresh off the boat you'd know that.

DMO was going to be a WoW clone.
>F2P BR orks
You're thinking of Eternal Crusade. Please cease thinking of that heresy immediately and report to your nearest Arbites post for memory wiping.

the price tag is kinda killer
you can wait for a sale also be a pirate if you catch my drift
and the Chaos campaign came with a big patch that tweaked all of the campaigns (because you can also play necrons and tyranids) so yeah it kinda sucks but they're not as jewish as some other devs could be
and if you just want to ram stuppidly big ships into each other you can still do it in skirmish

rts is dead as fuck sadly
