On Nostalrius there was a time where the Rich Thorium nodes and the Black Lotus nodes in Burning Steppes were static. Every reset the Rich thorium would respawn where ever they were every 45 minutes, where as the Black Lotus would always respawn in a specific time between 50 and 75 minutes in the same location (time determined by the reset).
I would run laps around Burning Steppes and get every single Rich Thorium and Black Lotus node for 12 hours a day, every single day until people finally started to notice that "something" wasn't right and that nodes weren't spawning in the zone. I made over 15k gold doing this and didn't get banned.
