Yeah, there's a particular playthrough that the game just doesn't like you doing so it falls apart near the end. if you play Marcus and his group as cop killing terrorist psychopaths, the game will still make Hank side with them if you decide to take them all out as part of your mission.
It sucks that you can't become a deviant, and have Hank join you as you kill terrorist scum

Yeah, Cage really fucked up that one element in particular but because it's so important to the endings, it really poisons the entire experience.
My personal gripe was that I wanted Connor to be a deviant, but still try to oppose/take Marcus in. Like, change your perspective of Androids to 'oh yeah, we should be given rights' but believe that Marcus' violent revolution isn't the way to do it. Getting locked into deviant = immediately sucking Marcus' dick really disincentivized me going deviant.
