VR is a meme gimmick fad that is already over.
called it
Why wouldn't it? It's OpenVR.
Based Tim holding out his hand to Valve to join them. Then again, the drones will hate it nonetheless.
OpenVR is a different program that doesn't need Steam open to operate.
There's also OpenXR
Why not just wait until it releases on steam? Its still only just Tetris
OpenVR is just middleware - it requires *something* else to operate. By default that something is SteamVR, but you're right that it doesn't have to be. Epic does not have their own runtime, so it will turn to whatever else is on the machine - either Oculus or SteamVR's runtime
Why would I pay for a Steam copy months late when based-Tim already paid for a totally open copy for me?
OH NO NO NO NO NO
Where's the torrent?
Why does Epic care about developers using (freely accessible) optional middleware on their platform that Epic's own engine supports?
wait is it a TIMED exclusive?
I'm somewhat relieved but I'd rather not get my hopes up
What isn't a timed exclusive on the Epic store?
I'll ask again
WHERE is the torrent for the free game Tim bought for me
The Division 2 I think. In fact, I think they even made a statement that they currently have no future plans on putting it on Steam.
Probably to funnel everybody to Uplay.
Who the fuck cares about tetris of all things
>e**c store
shills thats who
At least that's Ubisoft putting it on their own damn storefront and not someone paying a dev to put it on another.
Thing is buying Ubisoft games on anything other than Uplay is a waste of fucking time since you're still forced to use it. I have no idea why people ever bought outside from it. Funny enough making their games "Epic exclusive" just made more people use Uplay instead.
As someone who owns an index I won't be getting this, its just tetris, in vr.
Booorrrring
boo
the game is goty 2018
That's not exclusive to Epic you dumbdumb. Much like how people will probably flock to the Microsoft Store to get Outer Worlds.
Satisfactory might be exclusive at least until it gets out of beta.
Some other literal who indie games on Epic will probably be as well.
Imagine spending your days waiting for some reason to bitch about some digital toy launcher
I guess this probably means it'll come out on Steam eventually then?
OK? And the game is developed with Unreal Engine, so what? The store drama is ridiculous.
>be scumbag developer
>make a shitty tetris clone
>con Tim Sweeney into paying for exclusivity
>requires Steam to run an Epic Exclusive game
based, they knew nobody buys fucking Tetris games. Except Tim Sweeney who bought 500k copies, thanks Tim!
Better than what Valve does which is pretend your game doesn't support VR at all on its store if you only support Rift API.
Not the first time China has stole from the west is it?
I mean no shit, all of the epic exclusives are likely to come out on Steam at some point. You can bet your ass that all of the "exclusives" are timed for a year or so at best. In some cases like Anno even just half a year or something if i remember right.
Pretty sure Valve still lists oculus exclusive games like Dirt Rally
There's actually no date for any of Ubisoft's games.
But it doesn't matter anyway because realistically you'll just buy all of them on Uplay which I already did for Anno.
>epic doesn't have reviews
>epic doesn't have community hubs
>epic doesn't have cloud saves
>epic doesn't even have a shopping cart
>epic doesn't have *insert anything you can think of except money*
capitalism, ho!
Yeah if you're a retarded boomer.
no you're just an ADHD zoomer
They said anno 1800 was their last steam release and their aren't going to put any more games on steam. Fuck Bethesda. They made one of the shittiest launchers on pc, failed horribly and now you have to have a fucking Bethesda account for all their future games through steam as well. FUCK BETHESDA.
im not against that because valve did the same with hl2
>tetris
>who cares?
>tetris VR
>B-BASED TIM SNIFFER TAKE MY MONEY NOW
it's literally >tetris. I can play this shit on my fucking gameboy.
more like china
Ubisoft is laughing all the way to the bank and scamming the fuck out of Epic.
>They take the exclusivity deal cash from Epic, but it still has to be on Uplay.
>people hate Epic store, so their own store's sales see a massive spike once they're off Steam
>And then Epic pays Ubisoft AGAIN to make up for lost sales on their own store, while Uplay is seeing record numbers
>And Epic is desperate enough for big name titles that they'll let Ubisoft keep doing it
who cares? you're not actually planning to buy their garbage are you?
lmaoing my ass off at the plebs who don't get that this game is good for the rez aesthetics
wolfenstein yuriblood looks good
The only good part of Tetris Effect is the Perfectris gimmick.
> nobody in this thread owns Vive
You have to use SteamVR in order to use Vive, there is no other option.
no it fucking doesnt
>what is selling steam garbage and using the steam wallet money to buy games for free
thumper is the best VR game
Doesn't uplay have those special discounts as well if you buy from their store?
Unless the discount is 100% it's still better to buy from steam.
It's always Tetris Effect threads that reveal how casual Yea Forums is about Tetris.
And Tetris Effect is not even a difficult game to 100%, aside from Master Mode.
>I have no idea why people ever bought outside from it.
Sales
Isn't Master Mode just regular Tetris though?
There's only like two people who have actually completed it, and we had some of the best Japanese and Western Tetris players play Tetris Effect.
youtube.com
For example, Doremy is one of the fastest Guideline Tetris players, but he does not have the acquired skill to actually complete the mode.
Nah mate. MM starts you off at 20 from the get-go --- insta-drop blocks and you have to do 300 lines.
Granted, this is something you can literally just make/mod in for other Tetris games than needing Tetris Effect to play it but still. Master mode is no joke.
Wow, you have dogshit taste.
Glad you have to suffer to play that turd.
If you're not using OpenComposite instead of SteamVR, you're a stupid faggot:
You're right, steam lists Oculus Rift as supported. That guy is a lying fag.
