Have you ever fallen for flavor of the week meme games?
Have you ever fallen for flavor of the week meme games?
I did once. Vermintide 2. I had just built a new pc and was buying all the games that were out at the time to immerse myself in modern graphics. To my suprise the game didn't look as good as it did in the gameplay trailers and I also learned I hate co-op games. The games popularity also plummeted a couple weeks after I bought it
regularly because im always looking for something new to fill the void
I've actually gone back to Mordhau and found it to be plenty fun still, especially when the teams aren't composed of incompetent dickheads.
Though it does need new content. Whether that be an update with a few maps and a gamemode or a fully fledged DLC. If they put time into it and really developed on the game I'd gladly pay for more content.
Mordhau turned out well for a meme game, I still play it
Dayz, PubG, Apex Legends,
I bought a bunch of the Neptunia games on sale and played them a little bit. I eventually put them in my Steam hidden games and forgot about them, but my brother sometimes uses my account and saw them. Now he thinks I play hentai games
Two new maps and mod tools soon.
Even without Mordhau-specific mod tools, some people have been able to make custom maps already with the Unreal SDK.
Yep
Mordhau is fun, I just wish it had actual goals to work towards instead of just grinding out gold. Maybe something like the title systems from Gears of War and MW2, you complete a specific challenge and you get a title to put on your banner, there's space there for it and titles definitely fit into the medieval aesthetic
>he bought a tranny simulator
i hope nobody knows you played this
given how great the customisation is I'd love to see more 'mercenary' kind of stuff. it'd be great if there were bonuses you could earn during matches, especially if they incentivized actually playing the objectives.
stuff like
>be first to breach the castle walls
>destroy the enemy catapult
>clear the point solo
Yeah that would be nice too, more ways to reward people for going above and beyond, and for less conventional strategies like using the environment or shitty peasant weapons
They tried to avoid this BING BING WAHOO LEVEL UP +100000000XP (x5 RIBBON OF WAR) shit for a reason.
They aren't going to add it so go play something else if you just want to see awards and numbers instead of just playing the game
But that's exactly what they're doing next.
They're delusional if they think a lack of long-term goals is going to work in the long run. The game's fun, but it isn't TF2 fun, the core gameplay won't carry it forever. I'm not asking for a fingerless glove meter, I'm asking for a reward system that would simultaneously provide long-term goals and another layer of customization. As the game stands now, it doesn't matter what you do in the game, everything translates into a single currency: gold. And if you don't want anything that's available for gold? Tough shit, there's nothing for you. Titles/challenges would help mitigate that by offering another form of reward besides gold.
wait these are just the rocket league ranks
>Mordhau has shinier graphics, normie marketed, piss easy combat for accessibility, mindless brain dead fun
>Forgotten in a month and a half
>Mount and Blade has old busted graphics, marketed for hardcore players only, a combat system that takes an actual brain to use aside from “time your left click”, and isn’t for the braindead.
>NEVER FORGOTTEN, SEQUEL MEMED ABOUT CONSTANTLY DESPITE 8 YEARS
Uh oh! This thread now belongs to The Sarranid Sultanate!
